It’s important to keep the gun pointed down range (away from people) when a round doesn’t fire until the problem is identified and the gun is clear (unloaded). In this case I had a jam so I dropped the magazine and worked the action (slide) until the bad round came out. I changed ammunition and had no more issues.

I can not remember this one.

My second round hit the x. This Tokarev took some getting used to, but I think I’ll keep working with it.

It’s taking a bit of getting used to. I’ve been working with a revolver for a few weeks, but I was able to zero in and hit a few bullseyes. This seems like a comfortable fit after a few magazines spent.

Same day comparison to a Taurus 38 special/357 magnum revolver with a 6½” barrel. The Tokarev has a 4.6” barrel. I like both guns and find good groupings with each one. Hitting a few bullseyes. Both are relatively heavy which helps to absorb recoil. The Tokarev shoots 7.62x25 mm cartridges which are high velocity and feel similar to the 357 magnum with the revolver. The 38 special loads are much quieter.

This squirrel has become quite as ease lately and comes to meet me when I come out to feed the cats.

We have a few that come here every morning for peanuts. This one will often come and take one from my hand. She got a hold of a finger by accident once but quickly realising, let go and took a peanut.

Getting back to a habit of hanging out in the guitar cage. Beatrice and I did this almost every night before Liza was born. Now that Liza is a bit older we can resume. It’s been more than a year.

An overview of the Taurus 692. It features an extra cylinder so it can shoot three different cartridges. The cylinders are easily swapped.

Both of these guns are relatively easy to clean. The revolver is very easy because the cylinder is quickly removable. This Taurus model comes with another cylinder that shoots 9mm Luger cartridges, but a moon clip is required because the cartridges are rimless.

It’s really nice to get back to playing guitar again after about a year. Liza is older and it’s easier to get some off time.

This pistol was packed in oil for unknown years. I want to take it apart to remove any excess.
