The Crucifixion: Luke Chapter 23 Verses 39 43
The Crucifixion
One of the criminals who were hanged railed at him, saying, “Are you not the Christ? Save yourself and us!” But the other rebuked him, saying, “Do you not fear God, since you are under the same sentence of condemnation? And we indeed justly, for we are receiving the due reward of our deeds; but this man has done nothing wrong.” And he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.” And he said to him, “Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in paradise.” Luke 23:39-43

Galatians 3: Verses 1 thru 14
By Faith, or by Works of the Law?
O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you? It was before your eyes that Jesus Christ was publicly portrayed as crucified. Let me ask you only this: Did you receive the Spirit by works of the law or by hearing with faith?
The Righteous Shall Live by Faith
For all who rely on works of the law are under a curse; for it is written, “Cursed be everyone who does not abide by all things written in the Book of the Law, and do them.” Now it is evident that no one is justified before God by the law, for “The righteous shall live by faith.” But the law is not of faith, rather “The one who does them shall live by them.” Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us—for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who is hanged on a tree”— so that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles, so that we might receive the promised Spirit through faith.

The Power of the Police: Understanding the Force Continuum
The police use of force continuum is a model used by law enforcement to regulate the use of physical, non-lethal and deadly levels of force. It is based on the officer's assessment of the situation, the resistance of the suspect and the need for protection. Depending on the police department’s policies, the continuum can range from verbal commands to various defensive tactics such as pepper spray, tasers and firearms. The continuum helps police officers make crucial decisions in high intensity situations.
