Quite sure, you are asking yourselves this question which is as old as time, why do cats love fish so much? Ever since we were kids, we've seen a lot of cartoons where the cat would try to steal the fish from the aquarium and try to eat it, and by the looks of some videos we have seen here on Rumble, we are sure that some of those cartoons were based on true stories. Even though this video is cute and so unreal just like a <a href="https://rumble.com/v71cot-puppy-actively-participating-in-its-favorite-cartoon.html" target="_blank">cartoon</a>, it a real-time situation in this cat owner’s house. This cat named Thatcher tries to steal the fish, but the fish is not here to play that game, he is a strong fish, and she won't let the cat get away with such a crime. Take a look at this funny video! Nacho, the Blood Red Parrot Cichlid, defends his home from Thatcher, the nosy cat. Priceless! Nacho is a brave fish, and he knows how to protect his home from this noisy cat. What makes it even more hilarious is that we can clearly see that Thatcher is afraid of water, but he does not give up to get his claws on Nacho. But, that still doesn't answer our question. So, we can conclude that the intense smell of fish makes the cats desire for it so much. The ability of cats to smell is not limited to their nose. They have Jacobson's organ or vomeronasal organ, which connects the mouth to the nose. Every time they use their Jacobson's organ they make a funny face with their upper lip kinky and mouth open, and if you are a cat owner, you have probably noticed your cat doing this funny face. Fish smell and taste are quite a bit different from any usual cat prey, though. Besides, most cats don't even like getting their paws wet, which leads to preventing any significant underwater hunting movement (there are exceptions because cats are all unique snowflakes, but they're not common).
