Anybody who has installed one , most likely uttered these famous words after the installation "WTF" ??? yeah ,,,why doesn't my cleaning rod fit any longer ?? why didn't I know this ?? I hope Midwest sees this video at some point and get's this change made .....seriously ?/ I used to sit in the engineering meetings every morning at the Big 3 ....I know this lack of a cleaning rod issue came up ....and you couldn't overcome this ...lol ! pathetic

I go ahead and test variations with tape until I decide to just go ahead and blast it with the etching compound....and the results were stellar ! The final performance is at the end ......

The inherent design issues lie in the turret screws and their contact on the radial brass laser bodies..This applies to 90% of the lams out there irregardless of price ...These are NOT like a turret with a geared screw body in a scope ... Once you understand how these work and their limitations ...You may stop demanding these lams hold zero like a scope ....and simply inspect and assure zero before each use... After all it's as easy as pushing a pressure switch and looking through your aiming device be it iron sights, a red dot, holograph, or scoped body ... Let's be practical boys and stop your damn whining, most of you have safe queens that never see any use other than to stare at it and take pics of it .. Try getting a woman , it works better .....

The tests the other tactifools on YT perform are merely shooting a weak 5.56 round ..lol ! that's weak sauce kids.. You need a Man hammer ! a Snap ON Tools screw driver to adequately whip your clone into compliance ... This is modded with soldered lead to battery body (brass) PCB boards are fully potted and body elastomer filled base is fully bedded with epoxy (JB Weld) and new springs that are worthy are installed... This thing can take a beating ....almost as tough as the sms laser ..but not quite ! I did manage to beat the living shit outta the steiner and stopped as I did not wanna leave a mark as I'll be selling it to fund worthy items..it did not cut out nor did the sms laser ...but the steiner sucks all the same as it's lasers are so weak it's embarrassing ..... The modded Somogear is a solid performer with the best lasers you can get currently ....do not beat the shit out of your unit like I do here unless it's been modded with all the steps I've discussed.....

After yet another failure of a component in this clone , I address it and we will move on until it's perfected ....This is no doubt , yet another reason why this clone will not hold zero....besides the joke for springs , the mount system is total shit !

So after tearing into it after the camera was off the mount literally came loose under the abuse .. The screws were ok as was the body .. The mount was the weak point I addressed early on , see my video on it This lam is no joke people...it doesn't have the 20 mw power of the somogear , but it does have a better laser than the $1300 Steiner DbalI2 I verified that in last nite's video... It has so much to offer after replacing the mount ... It continues to impress.....

This unit was beat to shit with a man hammer before it would shut off This is by no means a weak unit ...The recoil I was subjecting it to was more than a 50 BMG would produce ....They hold up ... The trick I removed the rubber lanyard at the battery cap to allow it to add even more tension against the battery which is parallel to the bore and the recoil ...(it's a weak link) and of course I silver soldered the lead from the pc board to the battery body permanently at the groove ... Filled and potted the interior fully with epoxy and tripoly elastomers for shock resistance .....I'm satisfied....I'll improve the mount system by attaching it directly from the interior to a dedicated QD pic base...1/2"

Here's the real dope on the proper way to finally mitigate the weak points of the Somogear peq15 .....don't listen to the basement dwellers with the gucci gear .... We approach tasks to improve performance and overcome obstacles here This is what you need to do to make these lil outstanding units work for you

I cover the procedure for adjusting tension of the clamp at yoke....this is needed when you are fully clamped and find your rifle still moving rather than locked up .....

We have a definite winner here and it's is NOT the $1300 Steiner That piece of shit couldn't even keep up with the others costing 1/10th the cost ... Let this lay to rest the doubters , these Chinese LAMS are here to chew bubble gum and kick ass....
