Bakdash is one of the most famous ice cream shops in Damascus. The store was established around 1885 in Al-Hamidiyah Market in Old Damascus.[1][2] He was famous for making ice cream covered with pistachios. Bakdash ice cream is a flexible fabric made of mastic and orchid. It is famous throughout the Arab world and has become a popular tourist attraction in Damascus.[1]
