5 Minutes on Faith: Do Not Take the Bait #61
The Expense of Offense Ensnares us in every Sense.
Offense in the Greek is the word skandalon: A stick for bait (of a trap), a snare, stumbling block.
Offense will quickly harden your spirit, keep you feeling down or rejected, interrupting your progress in life. If held onto bitterness and unforgiveness take root and over time it may ultimately affect your health.
Allowing offense to take precedent in your life shuts down your ability to hear from the LORD.
Satan uses offense to rob us from the promises of God.
Proverbs 18:19 “A brother offended is harder to be won than a strong city: and their contentions are like the bars of a castle.”
Gardening Examples:
If we are seeking first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness all these things we need to operate in life will be added unto us: Matt 6:33.
Mark 4: 16-17 if seed the WORD is “…sown on stony ground…and have no root in themselves, and … when affliction or persecution ariseth… immediately they are offended.”
Luke 10:19 Jesus said “Behold, I have given you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

5 Minutes on Faith: To Keep the Faith Instantly Obey the Voice of Your Spirit! Part 4 #56
Building our Faith requires orderly steps: Meditation on the Word Practicing the Word Giving the Word first place Obeying your spirit
1.Every human being is born with a spirit placed in them by the Creator of life. Some may call it a conscious, intuition, 6th sense, or a hunch, but it is the voice that speaks to us from inside.
2.God prophesized he would give us a new heart and spirit sensitive and responsive to the touch of God. Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Hebrews
3.Give your new spirit the privilege of meditation on the Word of God and the Word will become its source of information. Put the Word First place in your life.
4.Prov 20:27 “The spirit of the man is the candle of the Lord.” It has within it the life and nature of God. The Holy Spirit dwells in your new spirit which is how God communicates with us. As we respond to the voice of the Holy Spirit he will: correct, direct, protect and perfect our lives.
5. Your spirit must be fed continually; it will take time to develop, much like a child does not advance through 12 academic years in a week, repetition of information and teaching is required to “train up a child in the way they should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” Prov 22:6 the same applies to our spirit.

5 Minutes on Faith: To Keep the Faith Make the WORD First Place! Part 3 #55
Matt 6:33 “Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness…”
Training and developing any skill require us to make it a top priority in our life. Likewise, training our spirit and developing wisdom in the knowledge of God requires top priority.
The Word of God addresses EVERY ASPECT OF LIFE, and it will develop us to skillfully stay on course when we heed His navigational beacons of the protection.
Cruise Ship Pilot example
Prov 4:20-22 paraphrased: Listen to what I have to say. Keep looking, stay focused on My Word. Keep my Words in your heart. My Words are life to all who find them and healthy medicine to all their flesh.
Without hesitation bring ANYTHING before the LORD. He already knows what you are dealing with. God gave us free will. As a gentleman he will not interfere but will wait patiently for you to ask him about your: Job, relationships, education, health, words you speak, fear that torments, boundaries that are broken, etc.
Matt 7:7: Jesus said: “Ask and it shall be given, seek and ye shall find, knock ad it shall be opened.”
Prov 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Lean not to your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge HIM ad HE will direct your steps.

5 Minutes on Faith: To Keep the Faith WE MUST Build it up! Part 2 #54
To build up our faith
1. Meditate on the Word
2. Practice the Word
3. Give the Word first place in our lives
4. Instantly obey the voice of your spirit
JAMES 11:22 “But be doers of the Word and not hearers only…”
That means we need to apply the Word in all circumstances.
John 13:34 “A new commandment I give unto you, that ye love one another: as I have loved you, that ye also love one another”
Fellow ship with the LORD and confess that you will not
Phil 4:6-8 do not fret or have anxiety but in every thing by prayer and petition with thanksgiving let your request be made known to God
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, honest, just, pure, lovely and of good report, if there be any virtue and if there be any praise, think on these things.

5 Minutes on Faith: Feed your Faith and Doubt your Doubts! #52
Are you keeping the FAITH regardless of what is going on in the world, our nation and around you?
Are you standing firm knowing you are stable and fixed, dwelling in the secret place of the Most High God? (Psalm 91:1)
Is prayer and fellowship with the LORD the key to your morning and your lock at night?
Regardless of what we see or experience going on around us Jesus commands us in Mark 5:36 “Be not afraid, only believe.”
Are we being inactive in our faith?
Are we wavering, hesitating in fear, and closing off opportunities with our doubts instead of believing God?
What is Faith? It is a living principle from the Word of God. Faith is life, it produces life, and it changes life.
When we feed ourselves daily on the Word of God faith will come by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. Romans 10:17

5 Minutes on Faith: God's Triptych: tell them, tell them and tell them again! #50
Matthew 24:4-6: Jesus, on the mount of Olives addressing the end times said “Take heed that no man deceive you… (6) Ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: see that ye not be troubled…”
1. Stay in faith: do not invite chaos into your spirit. Do not start talking fear words, and through the power of those word bring wicked things not your life.
2. Remain focused and grounded on the promises of God. Every aspect of any need you have in life is addressed and conquered in the WORD.
3. Do NOT allow anything happening in the world distract you.
a. Turn off the news and disengage from social media.
b. Apply the Dan Bongino rule: Wait 24-72 hours before you respond or form an opinion about any unsettling event; as there is ALWAYS more to the story than what is initially conveyed.
Because of the WORD “It is possible for me to live in a troubled world without trouble.” Jerry Savelle

5 Minutes on Faith: Psalm 91: God’s Triptych: tell them, tell them, and tell them again! Part 5 #49
Psalm 91 Part 5
Verses: 14, 15, 16
14. “Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him; I will set him on high, because he hath know my name.
15. He shall call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble: I will deliver him, and honor him.
16. With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.”
BECAUSE: (by cause/choose)
Six times in these 3 verses God proclaims either I will or will I followed by the promises of what he will do if we, by cause or by choice, set our love on him, know his name and call upon him.
Deliver, set us on high, because we have known his name.
Answer us when we call on him.
He will be with us in trouble.
He will deliver us.
He will honor us.
He will satisfy us with long life.
He will show us his salvation.
Proverbs 3: 1-2 “My son, forget not my law, but let thine heart keep my commandments. For length of days and long life, and peace shall they add to thee.”
Proclaim Psalm 91 over your life as the key to open your day in the morning and to lock up the day.

5 Minutes on Faith: Psalm 91: He shall do it; shalt we do it also? Part 4 #48
Psalm 91
Verses 11, 12, 13
11: “For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
12: They shall bear thee up in their hands lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.
13: Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.” Ref: Dan 6:22
Dan 6: 22 “My God hath sent his angel: and hath shut the lions’ mouths, that they have not hurt me…” Daniel was thrown into the lions’ den because he refused to bow down to the decree of King Darius to worship only him……but God shut the lions’s mouths and protected Daniel because he honored God. .
He shall: must or is obliged to. God never betrays his WORDS:
Psalm 89:34 “My covenant I will not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.”
Numbers 23:19 “God is not a man, that He should lie, or a son of man, that He should change His mind…”
Heb 6:18 “…it is impossible for God to lie…”
They shall: the angels are obliged to hold us up in their hands and not allow us to dash our foot against a stone.
Thou Shalt: we are obliged to engage and to stand in our authority, using the WORD of the LORD to tread upon the lion and the serpent, the young lion and dragon to trample under our feet.

5 Minutes on Faith: ARE YOU ARMORED UP? #44
20, in most countries, is the age of military service and associated with war.
We are entering a great season of battle; we need to be armored up with the WORD of GOD. Ephesians 6: 10-20
The Armor of God
10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. 19 Pray also for me, that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel,20 for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should.
Deuteronomy 20: Laws of Warfare
Excellent study to review: https://www.2belikechrist.com/articles/deuteronomy-20-summary-in-5-minutes
God’s Word will eliminate fear and is the foundation of every victory
Fear must be eliminated from the camp. Remember Gideon started his assignment with 32,000 men and ultimately went to battle with 300 men who stood without fear.

5 Minutes on Faith: Give praise for deliverance from the enemy! #43
18 can mean life or bondage. 18 is a time of freedom and coming of age as a young adult.
18 is also reflected in the number of years Israel was in bondage to the Moabites and again for another 18 years to the Philistines and Amorites.
Psalm 18 is a psalm of victory sung by King David when he was finally delivered from the hands of his enemies. 15 years passed from the time Samuel anointed David as King until he fully ascended to the throne, after Saul’s death. David was about 15 years old when he was anointed. He was 30 years old when he ascended to the throne.
The last 7 years Saul aggressively pursued David to capture and kill him.
2 Samuel 22 is quite similar to Psalm 18 and records great detail triumph that is only accomplished by the LORD.
Psalm 18: 1-3, 48-49
“I love You, LORD, my strength. The LORD Is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, My God , my rock, in whom I take refuge; my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
“ He delivers me from my enemies; surely You lift me above those who rise up against me; You rescue me from the violent man. Therefore, I will give thanks to You among the nations, O LORD, and I will sing praises to Your name.

5 Minutes on Faith: Buckle Up for Safety! #42
15th of the month of Nisan was the day Jesus was buried one day after Passover.
15: 10 (law) + 5 (grace) = hidden in the law is grace. 15 is the number of hidden things.
If we are paying attention to all the world news and what is being revealed, we know there is much that has been hidden from us. And quite often the enemy tries to use a surprise attack to overwhelm their targets.
BUCKLE UP FOR SAFETY!!!
First thing I saw this morning in my spirit was the word: SHAKEUP stacked up in a column. Something is up. As mentioned in earlier recordings this year I have said there will be a lot of shaking going on this year and closer we more to the national election the more intense it will become.
I am not a prophet, but I do know God speaks through his people prophetically all the time. And today the LORD is not letting me get on with my day until I share this.
Word From the LORD using portion of 1960’s jingle promoting seat belts.
“Buckle up for safety buckle up, buckle up! While the world goes crazy don’t let your minds grow hazy, buckle up for safety, buckle up!”
Where do we find our safety?
Psalm 91:1 “He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.”
How do we connect with Him?
On earth you use 911 when we need emergency assistance.
To connect with heaven, use Jeremiah 33:3 “Call to me and I will answer you and tell you of great and mighty things you do not know.”
And as I shared on Wednesday: Psalm 22: 3
“God inhabits the praises of His people.”
Fret not, fear not for I am with you always says the Lord!

5 Minutes on Faith: Are you A.W.A.K.E #41
(14 is the number of salvation: the 14th of month Nisan is the date of the first Passover in Egypt, when the enslaved Isrealites were preparing to depart from Egypt. 14th of the month of Nisan also marks the day of Jesus crucifixion)
Are you A.W,A.K.E.?
A: Always
W: Willingly
A: Activating
K: Kinetic
E: Energy
Two most common types of Energy: (source Coach Mahr) https://coachmahr.com/potential-versus-kinetic-energy/
Potential energy: energy of what can be; found in an object’s position, not its motion.
Kinetic energy: what is and is created when potential energy is released, energy of motion.
Examples: Imagine a huge boulder sitting askew on the top of a cliff. It has potential energy in its state of rest, once released potential energy transforms to kinetic energy.
Bow and arrow. Bow string drawn back is potential energy, once released it is Kinetic Energy that drives the arrow to the target.
If we are not releasing our Potential Energy nothing will ever be accomplished. We can talk about things until the cows come home but nothing will happen until we engage to execute our plans.
Let’s commit to being A.W.A.K.E.
Always Willingly Activating Kinetic Energy

5 Minutes on Faith: Give Thanks with a Grateful Heart #39
We are entering the preparation time for the Resurrection of Jesus which we celebrate, this year, on Sunday, March 31st.
And as I was preparing for this message as always, I ask the Lord what he wanted me to convey. I kept hearing “give thanks with a grateful heart” over and over in my spirit. So, I looked up the song and listened to it on YouTube and I am attaching a copy of the lyrics in my notes.
As we prepare for Resurrection Sunday lets embrace the remaining 19 days to give thanks for what he came to accomplish and willingly died for:
Luke 4: 18 “The Spirit of the LORD is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor: he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives and recover of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised….
It’s interesting to note in the 4 Gospels there are 19 healings recorded that Jesus performed and I know he wants us to receive healing: physically, spiritually, and financially.
Also, it’s interesting to me to note that Jesus received 39 lashings. Today marks recording number 39 for 5 Minutes on Faith. Somehow God is using all of this to heighten, certainly my awareness, of the miraculous intensity of what transpired 2000 years ago on the cross, for all mankind.
Give Thanks with a Grateful Heart
Lyrics
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bk_7wUR2Wdg
Give thanks with a grateful heart
Give thanks to the Holy One
Give thanks because He's given
Jesus Christ His Son
Give thanks with a grateful heart
Give thanks to the Holy One
Give thanks because He's given
Jesus Christ His Son
[Chorus]
And now let the weak say I am strong
Let the poor say I am rich
Because of what the Lord has done for us
And now let the weak say I am strong
Let the poor say I am rich
Because of what the Lord has done for us
[Verse 2]
Give thanks with a grateful heart (With a grateful heart)
Give thanks to the Holy One (To the Holy One)
Give thanks because He's given
Jesus Christ His Son
Give thanks with a grateful heart (With a grateful heart)
Give thanks to the Holy One (To the Holy One)
Give thanks because He's given
Jesus Christ His Son
Chorus

5 Minutes on Faith: CRUSH THE CLUTTER (Part 3) - Cultivating Money Mastery #38
Are you earning wages, only to put them in a bag with holes in it? Haggai 1:6
Whatever a man sows he will also reap: Gal 6:7-10.
Are you sowing into your financial future?
Do you have an emergency fund set aside of 3-6 months of expenses?
Are you paying off your debts, and do you know the best way to conquer them?
Do you have a retirement fund established and are you consistently contributing to it?
Simple savings broken down:
$ 6.85 a day x 30 days = $205.50 a month x 12 = $2500.00/yr
$13.70 a day x 30 days = $411.50 a month x 12 = $5000.00/yr
$27.40 a day x 30 days = $822.00 a month x 12 = $10.000/yr
Do not despise the days of small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin Zechariah 4:10

5 Minutes on Faith: CRUSH THE CLUTTER (Part 2) #37
Ecclesiastes 3:1, 6 “To every thing there is a season, a time to every purpose under the heaven…A time to get, and a time to lose: a time to keep, and a time to cast away”
Every thing in life has a season. And every season has a beginning, middle and an end. When the season is over its time to clean out and make room for new growth. That’s a time of pruning and purging.
Proverbs 27:23 “Know well the condition of your flocks and give attention to your herds.”
To know the condition of your flocks you must get into the pen and inspect it. We don’t necessarily have flocks and herds, but we do have “things” in our life to inspect including: our professional, personal, financial, and home life.
God is asking us to inspect our life and clean out and crush the clutter. A new season is upon each one of us and we all need to ready to roll!

God is asking us to inspect our life and clean out and crush the clutter. A new season is upon each one of us and we all need to ready to roll!

5 Minutes on Faith: NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE WITH GOD! - Embracing your goals God’s way #35
Genesis 18:14 “Is anything too difficult for the Lord?”
Jeremiah 32:17 “…Nothing is too difficult for You.”
Matthew 19:26 “With people this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
Mark 10:27 “With people it is impossible, but not with God: for all things are possible with God.”
Luke 18:27 “The things that are impossible with people are possible with God.”
Word from the Lord: “Tell them how important it is to ME for people to have goals, dreams, and imaginations, and to speak faith words over them.
Well focused goals break down the steps to fulfilling a dream, perfecting a gift, kor walking into the fullness of your life’s calling.
I NEVER give people more to do than they can handle. But I do require them and will inspire them to stretch beyond what they think is possible for: I AM THE GOD OF THE IMPOSSIBLE!
Part of that process requires speaking words of faith out of your mouth. Read your goals out loud, at least once per day in front of the mirror where you tell your body and mind what you are doing, where you are going and what you expect as the result.
I expect great results for my children because NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE WITH GOD!

Heb 12: 12-13 “Therefore lift your drooping hands and strengthen your weak knees, and make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be put out of joint but rather be healed.”

Newton’s 1st law of motion
In consistency lies the power
Word from the LORD: March 5, 2024
“EVERYDAY embrace exercise; it will give you the grace and set the pace to run the course of the race I have set before you.”
