Another video of chimpanzees at play in a zoo enclosure. Keeping themselves occupied with empty boxes. They were indoors because of the winter months. Otherwise they have beautiful surroundings outside where they love to be amongst the trees and shrubs.

Chimpanzees at play
These chimpanzees were filmed trying to keep themselves busy with empty boxes in our local zoo . Zoo keepers have to improvise all the time and think of different ways to keep them amused. They always put on a good show when they are active.

Giraffes Running
It is very rare that we see giraffes running around their enclosure at our local zoo. Mostly they are standing around until they get fed or prefer to be inside their house. But on this occassion these young ones were happy to put on a show. Maybe they were trying to warm up on this cold January day.

Hungry otters beg for food with adorably squeaky sounds
These otters in a local zoo are a playful lot. Most of the time is spent playing with pebbles or slightly larger rocks. They lie on their backs and roll them in the air with their paws. They also love swimming in the water around them. They are expert swimmers and love floating on their backs. But when its food time they look out for the van bringing them their goodies. They can hear it in the distance and that's when all the racket starts. This video shows their reaction when they can hear and see the van coming with their food.

Sleepy Meerkat
This poor meerkat was so tired after sentry duty on top of the artificial rock at our local zoo that it just couldn't keep its eyes open after coming down. We all know that feeling. Poor thing.

Horse And Cat Best Friends Is The Best Thing You'll See All Day
Did you know that a cat and a horse can be best friends? If you don't believe it, watch this video! Horses and cats are totally different animals, and the horse is at least ten times larger than the cat. The truth is that despite their great differences, this horse and this cat are the best friends, in fact they do not stop playing and having fun together, they can spend the whole day together playing outdoors on the farm. Both horses and cats are quite sociable animals, maybe that's why they get along very well and are best friends. You may never see a friendship as good as this!
When a horse and a cat meet for the first time, the cat has a tendency to meow because it is an unknown being. These types of behaviors must be eliminated, since they can make the horse feel intimidated and react abruptly. The horse is usually larger than the cat in terms of constitution, but it usually happens that it can be scared of the cat since, by nature, the horse is an escape animal and the cat is a predator. This does not mean that these two animals cannot get along and even form a great team living in harmony.
Horses by nature are social animals organized in herds. They have a shy, lazy, generous and grateful character, and it is believed that there is a certain spirit of pride in them. They are not considered aggressive animals by nature, although exceptions may always exist. Talking about the ethology of horses is the same as talking about psychology in human beings, although in this case it is all related, regarding the behavior of horses, that is, their intelligence, their fears, their behavior in society , among others.
The horse follows its own social organization, if we talk about a herd, within it there are subgroups. The main family group is known as ‘harem’ dominated by an adult male of several adult mares along with their young. The adult stallion or male is responsible for monitoring the pack, directing movements in case of threat and defending it against intruders. On the other hand, there are the males that have no mare, which depends on their approach to the harem, of the adult male.
Their behavior is calm since they are lovers of life without setbacks, and even in a domestic state it retains all its innate nature and the sense of freedom that is deeply rooted in its character, if not, that its behavior is altered by vices or By his own character. In the face of danger, the horse acts its survival instinct. The means or methods of defense you use are usually bites, kicks or flight. But the latter is the main one as a means of conservation of the species. It is developed thanks to its highly developed senses that force it to move quickly away from the threat of an attack, since they prefer to flee to fight. It is shown that the horse is one of the least aggressive creatures in the animal world, its defense is flight. The cases in which we find dangerous animals are due to the fact that they have been treated brutally and not being able to escape punishment have learned to defend themselves.
Despite the fact that the horse is at least ten times the size of this cat, the two don't let their differences come between their friendship. They are the best of friends who love to hang out together on their farm all day long.
