When your dog or puppy does something that you don't like it's natural to think that they should be punished or corrected for what they did. Unfortunately discipline and punishment in dog training has been pushed to the extreme with the use of things like shock collars or prong collars. Discipline is very important for training your dog, but discipline and punishment doesn't have to be and should not be things that inflict physical pain on your dog.
