Welcome back! This week we didn’t get a lot done because we were getting more rain. Once we had a good gap in the rain, we took advantage of it and got the roof dried out and repaired from the previous wind damage. Welcome back, first let us apologize for the video schedules being off, this rain has thrown us out of our routine. After getting 7-9 inches of rain in a 24-hour period we had some cleanup to do and found we got stuck at the homestead for a day because it wasn’t worth risking damage to the truck to traverse the flooded road. After surveying our driveway and roads out of here, we spent some time repairing the erosion on the Driveway to get it back to the pre-rain condition. Welcome back! This week we just did some odds and ends projects, cherry trees and greenhouse plantings are doing good. Got the plow and tire chains taken off so we are ready to start the repair work on the dump truck. We also got the brush pile moved from the back yard and most of the boulder/debris pile cleaned up as well. Well at least until the rain moved in again. Welcome back and we have our internet back again. In this video we are attempting to transplant some native cherry trees, so they don’t get damaged in work later in the area they were. We had some of our kids visit and had our first fire in the new fire pit. It was nice to relax and visit with them. Welcome back, this week we worked on grading the driveway to remove as much of the ruts from the spring thaw as possible. We installed a temporary window in the new bedroom in the addition to get some natural light in there until we can afford to purchase the final windows. Of course we are still cutting and splitting firewood for next season, which will be a huge relief to have it done early for the first time living here. Thanks for watching! Welcome back, We apologize for the late video release, our daughter and grandson are up for the week, so we've had some family time. We got some work done on the linen closet. We had to take a break from that to get some mechanical repairs on Jodi's Jeep to fix the "death wobble" that Jeeps tend to have with worn out ball joints and tie rod ends. We Enjoyed some beautiful sunsets this week, shared the best one. Warmer weather is arriving, just can't wait for more warm weather. Thanks for watching and see you next week.

Welcome back! This week we worked on starting to restock our firewood (since we were out). Got a week or two worth of firewood stocked. Got our bathtub and shower surround installed and working. We have some fine tuning to due but it is usable and yes we both took our turn in it that same night. Winter is starting to give way and our snow is melting with our day time highs in the 40's . This week we took the weekend off as we have family visiting and chose to spend the time with them. I did want to share some thoughts from our experiences of living off grid so far and some of the pros and cons that I don't think everyone thinks of when they life the appeal of living off grid. Welcome back, we got cleaned up from the snow in the last video and now we are in the single to sub zero temperatures and now deciding it's time to get more work done on the floor insulation, that we just threw together the first winter here.
