Overnighter in the Green Bothy, nice walk in, plenty of woodcutting, and a very wet and windy night. Good food and relaxing in front of a log fire.

Scruff, Sharen, and Jeff visit GREEN BOTHY in Kielder Forest. After miles of road diversions, walking about 6 miles in the wrong direction on forest roads, and a lift back to our starting point from a very friendly forestry commission worker we finally reached the Green Bothy.

Overnight wild camp on the windy tops of Shaftoe Crags with a herd of cows and a couple of bulls for company and who would have thought getting off a rock could be such fun? Music from Bensound Audiobinger The tent is a Vango Nevis 200.

Overnighter in a secret partially cleared part of Slaley Forest. Camp B as Sharen calls it. With a nice dry and warm walk in it turned to drizzle just before going to bed. Awoke to mist hanging in the trees but not cold, just damp. This was a test walk for something we have planned later this year, hence the full packs with a lot of gear. Easter weekend overnighter on a breezy clifftop with a great sunny walk to Amble for fishcake and chips. Campfire cooking and brilliant sunrise to top it all off. Sharen took some great early morning pictures. Tried out the waterproof cover for my Apeman cam. Music: Scott Holmes, "So Happy"
