Traditional Beekeeping Shouldn't Be SO Expensive.
There's only a few of us all natural beekeepers around. Why? Well, like so many thing it's become commercialized. Wes shares his thoughts on how to overcome these extreme beekeeping costs. His opening is classic, 😂🤣!

Late Summer Swarm Transfer
We had a swarm show up at one of our empty swarm hives a few weeks ago. Wes gives them a little more room in a horizontal hive to prepare for winter.

Whatever Came of the Incubator Chicks?
Well.. I decided after uploading my last video that it would be best to incubate the eggs down in the barn kitchen. It's a little warmer down there without central heat & air, lol. 8 eggs hatched and they are now 2wks old and doing great!

My Make-Shift At The Porch Recovery Garden for Okra!
Unfortunately, I was in the hospital and recovering from pneumonia back in May during the time to plant a garden. My little Audrey absolutely loves okra- we all do! So, I got my seed collection out, sowed okra seed in bright yellow tubs and planted them just off of the Farmhouse Porch where I could better tend to them while recovering on oxygen! If you look on the other side of the bags you can see the first okra I planted. It was from the same seedlings but they just don't like the red dirt. That's why I turned to planting the remaining seedlings in bags that have drainage holes in container soil. You have to roll with life when it throws challenges at you! I did have some help with the heavy lifting! I'm so proud to watch these plants grow while drinking my beloved honey coffee on the porch!! 🥹🤗

A Preview of an Upcoming Baby Chic Project!
We have 5 hens that are Rhode Island Reds. They have never been around Roosters so it's safe to assume they would not know how to care for a clutch of fertilized eggs as they've never needed to. They have recently been exposed to dating Roosters, 😂, so they have started laying fertilized eggs. Then they're hopping out of their laying boxes and back to the pastures to graze. SO I purchased an incubator. I'm going to see about hatching out some fertile eggs! Primarily to get more baby chics without having to depend on the commercial hatcheries. Plus, I can trade the baby chics we don't need should there become a serious shortage of chickens in the future. I've finally got my 'clutch' in the house and will begin the process soon! They can go 10-12 days without being sat on & tended by a hen so I'll get this going soon!

Hens celebrating their new eggs & Ballz, the Rooster, defending the Labor Room!
Pardon the messy chicken yard. It's' one of those things that hasn't been easy for me to get to and the chickens could care less, 😂! They are completely free-roam now! They drink from the creek and eat the many insects the atmosphere provides! At about 01:43 you can see Ballz flapping his huge wings as a warning to anything up in the trees thinking about visiting the hen house, lol!

Come take a quick look at my awesome Purple Martins & the beginning of my 'Recovery Garden'!
Hey TronTribe... I'm BAAAACK!! Sort of, lol! I'm still in repair but getting there, as John Mayer sings! I know- he use to be a 'bad-boy' but he can sure play a guitar!! Audrey loves him so we listen to his music often! Anyway, in the coming days I'm going to be sharing some short videos of the farm again! This is where I'm seeing improvement in my lung health so a dear friend of mine recommended I spend much time here amongst nature & the new farmhouse. I hope you enjoy my purple martins in this video as well as a new project I'm starting today! Container Gardening at the front porch! Love You All, MUCH~!

Wes Adds Honey Frames and Runs Into Trouble With an Aggressive Hive 😳
Wes encounters a very aggressive hive in our Apiary. He was totally surprised as we've never had bees like this before. He handled it but I could tell when he got home he was really disappointed by what he feels needs to happen going forward.

Wes Discusses Practical Beekeeping with Minimal Interaction
We believe 'less is more' when it comes to Beekeeping. Wes talks about how you and your Bees can be successful if you keep your interaction with them to a minimum. Visiting a hive can be fun but excessive inspections can be detrimental to the Bees health.

A Colony of Honeybees Leaving 'our' 2023 Swarm Hive to Locate Another Hive & Increase Their Numbers! 💕🐝👏
It's so exciting to share space with honeybees! Today I was leaving the farm, looked up at one of our swarm hives to find an exciting surprise! I didn't have a mic so please forgive the spontaneous 'noise', lol! A small colony of honeybees occupied this swarm hive at the end of summer last year, so we left them alone. We didn't want to take a chance of relocating them into a bigger hive because they may not have been able to build enough honey frames to get through winter. Here they are today! They survived winter on their own and they are having their swarm departure meeting on the outside of the hive! The bees you see here are taking their Queen to a new, bigger hive and leaving 1/2 of the colony behind who is currently raising a new Queen! It's so exciting to see a honeybee colony survive on their own without our interference! 🤗❤️🤗
