Mobile Meditations - Alexandre Frédéric Joly - Top of the Rock
Alexandre Frédéric Joly and I rode the elevator to the "Top of the Rock", the top of NYC's Rockefeller Center, and we wondered about centralization including control of the story telling capacity, and how frameworks can provide strength as well as prisons. And we meditated on growing our capacities for sensing truth, within each of us, and how that might open the way for a renaissance.

Mobile Meditations on William Easterly's The Tyranny of Experts
This mobile meditation wonders about William Easterly's seminal book, The Tyranny of Experts, and it's relevance to the Agile Industrial Complex, and the work of supporting teams and organizations. Development expertise has only looked at technocratic solutions which has had a terrible track record in the third world, and often only supports vestigial colonial and imperial impulses from the first world. What Easterly shows is that what has clearly supported development in the first world has been the support of individual rights. This observation and insight speaks volumes about why technocratic solutions in organizations also fail, often promote a sense of oppression on the front lines.
