As we approach the end of 2020 and the 116th Congress, The FAIRtax Guys search congress.gov for some of the worst tax law changes proposed by members of Congress. Whether it's to change the definition of Municipal Solid Waste or to violate Article IV of the Bill of Rights, our Congress Critters have been very busy trying to manipulate every aspect of American life thru the tax code.

When did the idea for the FAIRtax become a formal proposal? Who initiated the effort and why? What were the issues that caused people to seek an alternative to the income tax. What issues had to be addressed in order to advance HR 25, a proposal in Congress every session since 1999. After reviewing several viewer comments and a much smaller list of proposed tax code changes on Congress.gov, The FAIRtax Guys take a look at Vice President Biden's plans for tax increases, especially his plan to increase corporate taxes. Noting that this subject is handled in Chapter 3 of The FairTax Book by Boortz and Linder, they explain who really pays corporate taxes and how tax increases affect our economy.

Since the Presidential Election was undecided at the time of this recording, the nation does not know who the President will be next year. They also don't know what the tax policy will be. Will it be President Trump who has promised more tax cuts or Mr. Biden who has promised tax increases on corporations and wealthy people? This uncertainty is bad for business and would disappear if we had the FAIRtax as the nation's tax policy.
