I was facing a repair job on an aluminum project and was dreading having to TIG weld it. This is going to require a 1/4" aluminum plug. This is a Coleman model 220E double mantle lantern from 1956. It burns Coleman white gas. It wouldn't light. The problem was a dirty generator. If I had given the generator a light cleaning it might have helped but I soaked it a long time and probably water logged the cardboard sleeve. Fortunately, generators are readily available. The other issue was that I was given sketchy advice regarding the check valve in the pump cylinder of the fount. It turned out that I didn't need to replace it. The video shows how to replace in the event that you need to replace it. My method destroyed the valve. If you want to take out the valve and reuse it, you will need the proper tool. If you are only going to do it once I would just use the extractor and buy a new valve. The extractor tool is from Harbor Freight, Drill Master item number 95530. It worked pretty well.
