While we usually prefer instantaneous answers, God seems to have a deep love for the process of perfecting us. He spares no amount of time and effort to form us into the image of Jesus.

My spiritual mom defined integrity as “What’s left of the bacon after it’s through frying in the pan!” May the Lord make us people of truth and integrity as we walk through this world.

In order to sow, a person must have access to seeds. What type of seeds are you sowing in your own life? In the lives of others? Where do we obtain good seed?

The heavens declare the glory of God. When was the last time we looked at the world with a sense of awe and wonder?

"Our struggle is not against flesh and blood..." -Ephesians 6:12 NASB

Walls protect, defend, and define. They can be healthy or harmful. They can imprison us or empower us. What kind of walls are we building in our lives?

The Lord instructed Moses, to be sure “that you make all things according to the pattern which was shown you on the mountain.” -Exodus 25:40; Hebrews 8:5

We are usually too busy to reflect. After all, reflection takes time. However, the word literally means to give back and to “bend the light.” As we reflect, we mirror Jesus to the world around us. Take time to reflect today.

Instead of labeling our feelings and experiences as either “good” or “bad,” perhaps we should instead consider these things as “healthy” or “unhealthy.”

“Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water!” -Matthew 14:28

Keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. –Ephesians 4:3

Ponder the path of your feet; and let all your ways be established. –Proverbs 4:26

“Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how to respond to each person.” –Colossians 4:5

We hide them, cover them, ignore them, and fight them. God treasures our wrinkles. They are the roadmaps of God’s grace in our lives.

While we choose to not be bogged down in the past, let’s not forget all that God has done for us before! It will give us great faith and hope to press on into His future for us!

True service happens not in the spot light, or in the lime light, but only in God’s Holy Light.

The pressures of life are often difficult for us—but God has a way of turning pressures into blessings, for ourselves and those around us.

Most of us are more familiar with our self-imposed identity than we are with our God-given identity. May be trade our old man for the new man He has made us to be in Christ.

Jesus opens and closes doors. Don’t hesitate to walk through every open door He places in your path. He is showing you the way to His perfect will for your life.

Sometimes the ground of our hearts can be difficult to plow. Regardless, the Lord calls us to “break up our fallow ground” so He can do as He chooses with our fields.

Uncomfortable and difficult, vulnerability is not a place many would volunteer to go. No one has ever surrendered to the vulnerability of humanity more than Jesus Himself.

Both David (Psalm 69) and Peter (Matthew 14) felt the terror of sinking in overwhelming circumstances. Both experienced total despair. Both received complete deliverance! Jesus will deliver us as well.

“I can of my own self do nothing.” –John 5:30 This statement of Jesus calls us into yielded partnership with God. May we walk in the same surrender as Holy Spirit births this reality in us.

As we make our way through this world, there are many times we feel overwhelmed with the clutter and “dirt” all around us. Jesus encourages us, “Now you are clean through the Word which I have spoken to you.” –John 15:3. Soak in God’s Word for true cleansing of heart and mind.

In a world where respect is rarely considered, may we walk in such deep respect toward God, and toward all around us, since each one of us are made in God’s very own image.
