Kharkiv troops preemptively fire at Russian military
Ukrainian servicemen in the Kharkiv region on Tuesday (Oct 25) conducted preemptive fire at Russian military positions.
A mobile Ukrainian mortar unit set out to destroy Russian APC and infantry, according to mortar battery commander, callsign “Khimik”.
“Aerial reconnaissance reported that the enemy is moving an APC and set up an observation post with enemy infantry. The mission was to eliminate enemy military vehicles and infantry to prevent their attack on our positions," he told Reuters.
“The enemy has counter-battery systems which quickly detect wherefrom the artillery is firing, and they target (the positions) with counter-battery fire. So, we’re working very fast while ‘migrating’: we head out, do the work, and leave the position.”
