Our three-week old chicks have outgrown their container. I'm using screen doors to make a larger temporary enclosure. The chickens will be moving to the permanent coop in a few weeks.

At the farm, we use round rolls of hay when the grass stops growing. The goats and horses waste too much even with a cattle panel wrap on it. This simple solution allows me to feed loose hay and even dried Bahia grass clippings with little waste.

The pallet fork is probably the most useful subcompact tractor attachment for a small farm or homestead. Today, I'm using it move hay and remove dead brush and trees from two of the horse pastures.

The subcompact tractor isn't big enough to pull out fenceposts set in concrete so I'm using the auger to speed up the process. I'm also in the process of replacing the tack room floor in the horse barn due to constant moisture.

We're setting corner posts and braces for another horse paddock and using the tractor to clear brush where the new chicken coop and raised-bed garden are going. We always attach the cross brace with brackets and check vertical plumb before adding concrete. Our way of starting a fence may be different from other but it works for us.

I fixed up an old Country Manufacturing Manure Spreader given to me and use it to fertilize the pastures with manure compost. This is part of our regenerative pasture maintenance which saves a lot of money and is, at least in my opinion, the best way to achieve healthy chemical-free grazing for our animals.

The new baby goats like to follow me around the farm. Some mornings I take a minute and just sit with them.

I bought an old W&W two-horse trailer. I've replaced all of the flooring and most of the lights. Now I need to add a couple of saddle racks.
