A Quick overview of the biblical teaching on generational sins and the negative impact they can have on current generations by 1-Predisposing them to commit the same sins as their forefathers. 1-Bringing a possible penalty from God on them due to the serious sins of their ancestors. Read: Lev. 26:39-42 and the ninth chapter of Nehemiah, Ezra and Daniel where they each confess the sins of Israel’s ancestors. Read 2 Samuel 21 for a dramatic example of how the sin of a previous king brought a famine on all of Israel. Identifying, confessing, renouncing and asking God to break any generational penalties is s good things for every believer to do to set free from the potential negative influence of the sins of their forefathers. I have written a history book about the first signs of our nation committed in the Jamestown Colony of 1607. Those sins need to be confessed in order for God to heal America more. The book is called ⁠Healing America’s Soul. ⁠ I’ve also written a historical novel based on the first book. What is repentance? How important is it to God? How do you repent well? Some of the first words Jesus spoke in His public ministry were, "Repent, for the Kingdom of God has come." What did He mean by calling people to repent who were already trying to be good, God-fearing Jews? Jesus is calling His people today to repent to get ready for what he is about to do in America.

This is part of the full ritual lecture for the 26th degree called The Prince of Mercy. I quote it at length so that you can know I have not taken things out of context. In this story, according to Pike, Ialdabaoth represents the devil. Look at the incredibly offensive blending of religious ideas in this typical quote from Morals and Dogma: "And the image of Ialdabaoth, reflected upon matter, became the Serpent-Spirit, Satan, the Evil Intelligence. Eve, created by Ialdabaoth, had, by his sons, children that were angels like themselves. The Spiritual light was withdrawn from man by Sophia, and the world surrendered to the influence of evil; until the Spirit, urged by the entreaties of Wisdom, induced the Supreme Being to send Christos to redeem it. Compelled, despite himself, by his Mother, Ialdabaoth caused the man Jesus to be born of a Virgin, and the Celestial Savior, uniting with his sister, Wisdom, descended through the regions of the seven angels, appeared in each under the form of its chief, concealed his own, and entered with his sister into the man Jesus at the baptism in the Jordan. (Emphases mine) In summary, Pike says here: • Ialdabaoth, alias Satan, created Eve. • Ialdabaoth caused Jesus to be born of a virgin. • Ialdabaoth caused the Jews to kill Jesus • Jesus sits at Ialdabaoth’s right hand!

The Lord will punish all those who commit such sins, as we told you and warned you before. 7 For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life. 8 Therefore, anyone who rejects this instruction does not reject a human being but God, the very God who gives you his Holy Spirit.

This is one sin that God has no patience with. Either we choose to forgive others or God will impose a penalty on us. Read Matt. 6:14-15 and Matt. 18: 23-35. Why is God so hard on this sin? Listen and find out. If you are holding resentment, bitterness, a grudge or unforgiveness toward God, others or yourself, you are choosing to cheat yourself of the many of God's blessings. This is basic Christianity 101 for anyone who wants to walk close to God. Do yourself a favor and forgive well!
