247. A Different Spirit
Join us tonight as we look at Caleb the gentile and what made him to have a different kind of spirit. Do you want Yahuah to say of you that you also had a different spirit than most calling themselves believers? More importantly, do you want to find at the end you will die in the wilderness because you did not stand up like Caleb and proclaim the truth of Yahuah?

Tonight we will have a brief look at the way the world is, how we are being targeted, overwhelmed and why. A simplified version of the very complex attack against humanity. And while this may be disturbing to some, it is actually great news because it proves the Bible is 100% correct in its account of the days prior to Y’shua’s return.

Join us as we have a look at “the other side” of Shavout. No, it's not Pentecost. No, it’s not the birth of the Roman Catholic Church. No, it’s not the day when the “holy spirit” fell on all man-kind. No, it does not always fall on the first day of the week (Sunday). It is an ordained Feast unto Yahuah, it is the close of the Pesach, the counting of the Omer, the Crucifixion and Resurrection of Y’shua, it is very important to Yahuah that His people, understand the messages of the feast and how they tie everything during the past 52 days together.I used the verses out of the Book of Jubilees as found in the Cepher and have printed them for you in case you don’t have easy access to the Book of Jubilees, or have access to a slightly different version.

244. Conversations: Bechukatai (In His Statutes)
Join us as we have a look and the Parshat (Torah Portion) called Bechukotai or “In His Statutes”. It is a particularly interesting Parshat for me as it was the Portion I was born under. There is little question in my life I have always been drawn to His Word and Instructions, the commandments, or statutes. As member of the Body of the House of Yisrah-el’ I ask and cannot answer, if everyone has some sort of pull to the Parshat of their birth. If any of you need help in find that portion let me know I can help you find it.

We will have a look at a popular topic today, the Mark of the Beast. We ask the question instead of worrying about taking the mark, would our time not be better spent making sure we are sealed by Yahuah? Once sealed by the Most High, we can never be marked by the Beast.

242. Conversations: Why So Many Denominations?
One verse read in four different versions appears to say 4 different things, and most of them are not correct. Like the book entitled “Eats Shoots and Leaves”, depending on where you put the commas, it is either about Panda bears or mafia assassin. Hebrew does not use punctuation so you would have to learn from the previous context what the book is about. That in a nutshell is why there are so many denominations, comma placement.

Tonight is April Fools, but this is no joke, you do not want to be a Khaz’-eer Fissel. A Yiddish term loosely translated as a pigs foot. What the deal with a pigs foot? Pigs have a cloven hoof and from the outside look clean, it is not until you see what is on the inside that you know you have been fooled. Like so much of the world and even the church today, it is designed to look good and faithful and true but is completely unclean on the inside.

236. Conversations: Holy or Common?
Tonight we will continue a discussion from Vayiqra (Leviticus) about offerings in the Temple. Most of us do not see the importance of that information for us living so long past the Temple. We are too often told, and many believe, that YHVH is not capable of tailoring a message or instruction for all people for all time, and that the messages in the TaNaKh were only for the people living in that day. I disagree. Our pastors tend to focus on messages from the Second Testament, mistakenly believing there is nothing for us in the Torah.
Peter repeats Vayiqra, Be ye Holy as I am Holy (1 Peter 1:16), but of course the instructions on how to be Holy are first found in the Book of Vayiqra 20:26 and those instruction come from the instructions about the offerings, how to be Holy, not common or profane, in the first few chapters of Vayiqra.
Good stuff to know and practice, join us as we take a look.

235. Conversations: An Offering to Elohiym
As the world seems headed to destruction, people hearts are cold towards their fellow man, and truth is impossible to find. Many of us are stunned by the callous disregard for anything good and honest. The question must be “how did this happen?”
Tonight, we will have a look at the roots of this catastrophe beginning in the Book of the calling, Vayikra, or Leviticus per the Septuagint. Vayikra begins where Shemoeth or Exodus left off. After describing the Temple and the Priests, the materials used and the purpose, Vayiqra moves to look at the children and their use of the Temple in making offerings to Elohiym. We will look past the mechanical parts of the offering described in chapter 1 and to the spiritual ideas we can glean and how that information might change the hearts of the offeror.

234. Conversations: Are We Scared for Yahweh To Talk To Us?
Tonight, we will have another look at some lessons to glean from the Exodus generation and who it is playing out today. We like to pretend we are more faithful, understand more and are more willing than the stiff-necked people of Moshe’s time. But are we any different? I suggest not so much, which is why Shau’al (Paul) instructed us alive at the end of days to look to that generation to learn what to do and more importantly what not to do.
Another great lesson from the annals of history for our learning. Look with us and see if you see yourself in any of the pictures while there is still time to correct any faults and learn some good lessons.

233. Conversations: The Church of Laodicea
Tonight we will have a look at the church the people run, Laodicea and YHVH’s thoughts on an "assembly", (poorly translated as church in the KJV), of people who have taken control of the group, and find YHVH on the outside knocking to get in. While Laodicea is the last of the 7 assemblies to be mentioned in Revelation chapter 3, this tendency for people to eliminate the need for God is not new and is often specific to many “churches” today.
We continue to look at some of the things we, living at the last days before Y’shua’s return, should be doing according to Paul in 1 Corinthians 10. We take an interesting drive through the world’s largest aquarium in Shemoth (Exodus) 14 and discover that He is always looking out for His people even if we don’t see it every time.

232. Conversations: Why Does Paul Say To Look To The Exodus Generation?
Tonight, we will have a look at why Paul instructed those living at the ends of days to look to the Exodus generation some 3,500 years ago as an example of the things to come. We are not to imitate them but to learn from them and do better in the same circumstances. If you were thinking we might be living at the time Y’shau will return, these important instructions from Paul provides some interesting lessons about the world we live in and encouragement that this is leading up to the time God’s people are brought into the Promised Land.

231. Conversations: Depart From Me
Join us as we finish up the look at YHVH’s desire for obedience not sacrifice. We will look at some examples in Scripture of people who wanted to as, Frank Sinatra famously sang, “do it my way” and the inevitable result.
YHVH provided us instructions on how to live our best life and it is his desire for us that we follow these simple instructions, but few of us do, let alone make the effort to know what these instructions are.
We cover a lot of ground, and I can pretty much guarantee we will all see ourselves somewhere along the line.

230. Conversations: Obedience Above Sacrifice
Join us as we take a look at obedience is better than sacrifice. Too many identifying as Christians have an excuse not to obey Yahuah’s Word. Are they valid, is there a problem? Isn’t it enough to just love God and others? I’m not under bondage, I’m under grace. If you were standing in front of Y’shau at the judgement seat, how could you say "no thanks?" We obey not to be saved, but because we are saved.

223. Conversations: Where to Begin?
Join and help us as we consider topics and words to use to bring our friends and family gently to the truth that they may not be receiving the fullness of the Word of YHVH from their Sunday services. The riches of the Word, barely scratched at our study, are often glossed over completely at traditional church service, as they correctly focus primarily on the unsaved.
We are going to embark on a journey to look at ideas verses and words to share in hopes of waking some up to the possibility that YHVH has so much more for them (us) than they (we) may know, and as the day draws near it is becoming ever more important to more fully and accurately represent some of the depth of His Word.
Simply by examining the context and content of each verse can often open a new world of meaning.
We must also be aware of who is speaking and to whom are they speaking; for instance many believe that the Sermon on the Mount was given to the multitudes following Y’shau, but that is not true: reread Matthew 5:1-2, He spoke to the disciples only.
It is often helpful to consider the background culturally and personally, and of the particular situation and the speaker, and to consider why the speaker said the things they said.
We know that the Words of Scripture were not written in modern American English and as such it is pretty important to understand the words in the original language and context, so some investigation of both Hebrew and Greek is inevitable and necessary to further our understanding.
Some verses will require a little outside research. For instance, we can know pretty much exactly when Y’shua was born as we are given a direct time line in scripture from the courses or serving times of the priests. But those dates are not directly listed in the pages of Scripture some a tiny bit of research is needed to determine when the priest of the course of Abaiayu (Father of Yah) served to find the exact date of the birth of Y’shau and, as it turns out, of Yocanon (John the Baptist) also.
