Sennheiser CX True Wireless earbuds Debuts with a 27-hour battery and decent sound quality
Sennheiser offers such a broad range of headphones, we aren't surprised that it has entered the budget true wireless earbuds market with the brand-new CX True Wireless. The German audio brand launched the CX 400BT last September as more affordable alternatives to its premium Momentum True Wireless 2, but it is now going even more affordable to compete with the burgeoning competition at the lower end of the market – namely the class-leading Cambridge Audio Melomania 1+ and Google Pixel Buds A-Series.
The CX True Wireless – priced £120 / AU$199 and available in matte black or white from 8th July – utilise the company's proprietary TrueResponse transducer, which is designed and manufactured at the HQ in Germany and found in more premium models in the company's line-up. So here's to hoping that their sound performance is strong.
Unsurprisingly at this price, there's no noise-cancelling, but on the still rather generous menu is Sennheiser's Smart Control App with a built-in EQ; Bluetooth 5.2 with SBC, AAC and aptX support; 27 hours total battery – nine from the earbuds, 18 from the charging case; and dual microphones for clear voice pick-up during calls.
The earphones are also IPX4-rated splash resistance and feature on-bud touch controls that are customisable in the app.

HP Pavilion Aero 13 Debuts as an ultralight Pavilion laptop with Ryzen 5000 for $749
HP announced its lightest consumer laptop today — the Ryzen 5000-powered HP Pavilion Aero 13. It weighs less than a kilogram and promises entertainment, productivity, and a great connection all in one. It’s available in four color options, Pale Rose Gold, Warm Gold, Ceramic White, and Natural Silver, which offer a nice variety of color palettes for you to choose from.
HP’s newest is expected to be able to leverage Windows 11 when updated and hosts the latest AMD Ryzen 7 5800U. This eight-core processor has been a popular option in midrange laptops, promising impressive multicore application and multitasking performance. It’s also been updated to Wi-Fi 6, the latest standard in wireless connectivity.
The Aero 13 features a battery life of up to 10.5 hours, which sounds pretty good if the laptop lives up to its spec sheet. It sports the company’s first 13.3-inch diagonal display with a 16:10 aspect ratio and a 2.5K resolution. Its ratio gives it 10% more vertical viewing space than a traditional 16:9 aspect ratio, so that’s another feature that might ensure a slightly more enjoyable experience for watching movies or surfing the web. The HP Aero 13 has a 400-nit brightness display and, in theory, offers a 100% sRGB with a wide color palette.
HP has been extra mindful of the environment in designing the Pavilion Aero 13. It’s made with post-consumer recycled and ocean-bound plastics and features water-based paint, which helps reduce VOC emissions. Its outer box and fiber cushions are 100% sustainably sourced and recyclable. The Pavilion 13 Aero is also EPEAT Gold Registered and Energy Star certified as a part of HP’s efforts to deliver a sustainable PC portfolio.
The HP Pavilion Aero 13 is expected to be available at HP.com at the beginning of July for a starting price of $749. It will be available at select retailers coming this fall.
Dell UltraSharp 4K webcam Debuts as the world’s best webcam for image quality
It’s no secret that most laptop webcams are terrible, with low resolutions and poor handling of all but the most perfect lighting conditions. That’s a bad thing today given the reliance on videoconferencing due to the surge in remote working.
Dell recognizes this and has announced the UltraSharp webcam as a solution — and a very high-end one at that. For $200 — yes, it’s pricey — you get what Dell characterizes as the world’s best video image and the world’s most intelligent 4K webcam.
There’s no doubt that the UltraSharp checks all the relevant boxes to compete with the very best webcams you can currently buy. There’s 4K (3,840 x 2,160) support, high dynamic range (HDR), and a number of automatic adjustments to ensure a high-quality image. It all starts with the Sony STARVIS 4K sensor, which promises brighter images and better lowlight performance. This same sensor was used in the recently launched Razer Kiyo Pro as well.
The multi-element lens produces clearer, undistorted images compared to simpler designs. The UltraSharp is capable of 30 frames per second (fps) at 4K and 60 fps at Full HD (1,920 x 1,080).
The Dell UltraSharp 4K webcam will be available starting June 29 for $200.
