Have We Become Fragile?
Looking around today, you may have noticed that the world seems like it’s not doing so well. There are so many concerning issues that that point is not even in question. Instead, our question today is; how are you handling it? I mean, things aren’t great out there, but are they the worst they’ve ever been throughout history? Our plights today are certainly a challenge, and our pains are truly pain, but is our response to pain proportional to the causes of those pains, especially when considering the plights and pains of others? Or, has our ability to withstand become lesser over the generations. Are we less equipped to deal with difficulty and, if so, how did we get here and how do we get out? Have we become fragile? That is the question we will be discussing today.

Rebuilding The Walls and Taking Ground
For the month of March, we have been examining our relationship with darkness, with evil, with Satan. What does he want? How does he work against us and how deeply has his influence infected our culture and our individual lives? Today, we are going to discuss how we, as believers, can and should take a stand against our enemy and not only rebuild the walls to keep him out but do what we were we were commanded to do and start taking ground for the Kingdom of Heaven.

Satan: Master or Adversary
“Better to reign in Hell, than to serve in Heaven.” This famous line, spoken by the character of Satan in John Milton’s epic poem, “Paradise Lost,” has become the archetypal concept that most people now draw their own ideas of Satan from. In nearly all of the modern depictions of the devil, he is portrayed as a king on the throne of hell, the chief tormentor of lost souls condemned to his suffer in his domain, under his wicked rule for all of eternity. This understanding of the devil, however, pulls a lot more from the Hades of Greek mythology as the god of the Underworld ruling over the dead than anything resembling the Satan of the Bible. No, Satan is not sitting on a throne, presiding over Hell right now. Satan is currently active in the natural and supernatural plains, not ruling but rebelling. You may have heard that God has a plan for your life. Well, the devil does, too. Today, we are going to dispel some of the extra-biblical satanic mythology and find out what kind of relationship he wants to have with you.

What Do You Think About the Devil?
While atheism is by no means a relic of the past, there has been a growing number of people who have come to the conclusion that there must be something else beyond the natural world that we can see, observe, measure and test but for various reasons are still opposed to falling in line with any one religious viewpoint or dogmatic system. Still deeper into this group, there is an increasing subset who are genuinely drawn to that which is dark, sinister, malicious or even rebellious by nature. It is this group who have brought the philosophical concept, the supernatural entity and, at times, even the personal being known as Satan or the devil to the mainstream. So, what does this mean for us? What is our role in a culture which celebrates the embodiment of evil? What is our relationship to this figure known as Satan? That’s what we are going to dig into this month on WholeHeartEd.

Decoding The Meaning of The Song of Solomon
The Song of Solomon stands as one of the most debated books in the whole of scripture. Throughout Church history and even further back into its Jewish roots, the Song of Solomon has been interpreted as either purely at face value – an erotic poem between two lovers – or pushed over into the allegorical category – describing the love of God towards the Church or the Jewish people. So, what does the Song of Solomon really mean? That’s what we’ll be talking about today!

Lust or Love
Love, in most of our relationships today, is a lofty goal. If you were to ask most people in class or on the street, what are you looking for in a dating relationship, love probably won’t be the first thing that comes to mind and, for some, won’t come up at all. Due to past failed relationships, trust issues, disordered desires and many other things, a lot of us actually avoid love. We use terms like, “catching feelings” to describe it, almost as if it were a virus or something. It’s like dating is a game and the goal is to play as long as you can with as many people as you can before you get taken out by love, then it’s “game over.” So, how did we get here? How did our goals and desires for relationship become so distorted and broken?

Is the Bible Anti-Sex?
Is sex a sin? The Bible does not say that sex is a sin, but timing is everything. The Bible also doesn’t say that eating is a sin, but to take food that does not belong to you and then eating it is. Why? Because that would be stealing. In the same way, taking someone who is not your spouse and having sex with that person is a sin, you’re taking something that does not belong to you. Now, maybe you have issue with that type of verbiage. Maybe you think that sounds patriarchal and misogynistic. That and more in today's video!
