How Solar Cycles (and Space Weather) Affect Communication Technology ☀️🛰️
The technology we use to talk to one another is ingenious, but how does it work within our larger environment?
What are solar cycles and how do they interfere with our gadgets and society as a whole?
What would happen if GPS stopped working?
Which form of comms technology is best during space weather events?
How would all this change if our magnetic field weakened?
Very interesting questions. Hopefully I do a halfway decent job answering them here.

Atmospheric Effects of the Tonga Volcanic Eruption 🌋- One Year Later - UNPRECEDENTED
The Hunga-Tonga Volcano erupted one year ago, and since then we’ve seen a 10% increase in water vapor in the stratosphere that could stay with us for 10 years. Water vapor reflects sunlight, absorbs infrared radiation, depletes ozone, moves wind currents, and changes the intensity and spectrum of sunlight that reaches plants. This seems like a big deal, right? Why is it getting almost no media attention? Combined with the other factors driving climate, what can we learn from this event?
