It is biblical. We see in part. That goes for us all. At times, everyone sees the same situation or picture from a different viewpoint or a different piece of the puzzle. We all go through various scenarios in life. It's often necessary to process through them. There are healthy ways to go about it. But when you're on the other side of it, there are times when you won't be able to navigate these waters as the person processes. The loving, righteous way to handle this is to be honest without cutting them off or telling them to just get over it and or move forward. These statements wound in these situations. It also gives Satan a foothold that has the potential for relationship-ending consequences. There's a difference between our fleshly desires and what our souls need. So often our soul knows when something is amiss. In this case, the best way to describe the sensation is a fish out of water. Or a fish in the wrong kind of water. The pain and suffocation are real to the soul, even as the flesh doesn't fully experience this. We all belong somewhere. We must ensure we are where we are meant to be. We all need to hear the Holy Spirit for ourselves. Sometimes we will come across people who will say that they heard the Holy Spirit tell them something for you, whether it's to engage in a conversation, take on a task, or even thrust an urgency on you when it's something that can wait. A really good indication that it is not the Holy Spirit prompting you is a loss of peace. If you have total peace in saying no, you need to be led by that and listen. When you don't, you will come under Holy Spirit conviction later. In this hour, we need to discern for ourselves, and sometimes that goes against what other people are hearing. They mean well yet aren't always right. However, a response needs to be done out of love. If they choose to continue pushing the issue, ask for Holy Spirit conviction and remain adamant in your answer. They'll need to deal with their issue with the Lord. I learned this powerful truth again today. I plan on remaining adamant from here on out. We all matter. That includes you. This is something that spans over multiple generations and on both sides of the scenario. Many are accustomed to filling time with others with words, thinking it is necessary. This isn't meant to be rude. It's either how these were taught or their love language is words of affirmation. Then others are surrounded by noise and, at times they need the presence of a person without the words. It's hard to stay silent in these times for certain ones. True love is sacrificing in the right ways. It's laid out in 1 Corinthians 13. One way this can be manifested is by serving in an altruistic manner. So many are crying out right now because this is not their reality. They feel drained of everything they have in their close relationships. Or they feel like they are the ones having to make all the sacrifices for the other person. Or they actually are the only ones sacrificing and compromising. Or they feel like the other person will only act and serve in a way that benefits them as well. This implies the intention and the heart. Show your love to someone this way today. The reality is that no two people are the same. We all come from different molds, backgrounds, spectrums, etc. There are bound to be many in your life who have few to no similarities to you. God puts people together for many reasons, seasons, and lifetimes. But if you want to walk away for no other reason than the other person being "too different" from you, then there's an issue within your heart. If this is the case, take it before God so the issue can be dealt with. It has to do with something in your own heart (possibly a wound, unmet expectations, the past, or another reason), not the other person/people. Get to the root so there won't be room for a thorn in your relationships or your own life. It also would release any foothold for the enemy of our souls to interfere. Telling the truth out of love is biblical and a vital aspect of all relationships. At times someone may call you out on something. Yet what they are calling you out on isn't anything you're dealing with, healing from, or even a part of your personality and day-to-day life. When they do this, it's called projection. What they're attempting to place on you either resides in them or they picked up on it from someone else. It's a spirit that has to be dealt with. Seek the Lord as to how to go about handling it and provide the right perspective and truth of the situation. When these issues arise, needs have to be met. In certain circumstances, one person will say that their need is greater than yours, and that may be true. However, there are other times when your need is greater than theirs. Therefore it has to be met before you can help anyone else. Sadly, some will play the "Christ-like living" card to have their need met before yours. If your need is the fire presented in the scenario, meet your need first, then help them. They can wait.
