Walther P22 Q - Minuteman Review
The Ambidextral Gunfighter Minuteman Review of the Walther P22Q
Low grip ratio is comfortable, but not optimal to index for point shooting.
Rounds per size and weight are not the equal of modern peers….LCP, P17, or P322
Wobbly rear and plastic sights are inconsistent with Walther quality.
Manual safety and standard pic rail for dry firing with MantisX. I did 320 rounds of dry fire before range testing with 600 rounds of live.
Mag disconnect safety…yuch
Short leverage mag release Paddles are stiff. This is my least favorite paddle mag release and it is still way better than any button.
Plastic take down clip feels breaky and can break a fingernail.
Pokey spring protrudes slightly from hammer
Good single action trigger.
Double action allows for hammer down, round in chamber carry as well as second strike capability.
However, Frequent, but intermittent failures to fire in double action ultimately led me to take advantage of Walther’s generous 30 day money back guarantee. Given size and limited capacity compared to the Ruger LCP II, I’m not willing to go down the “get it running” rabbit hole.

Mantis Laser Academy - Dry Fire Minuteman Review
Mantis Laser Academy is your home dry fire training facility
Download free base version
Download and print auto detect targets for free or order from Mantis
Videos guide you in the use of Laser Academy and then provides pistol instruction…grip, stance, low ready, trigger control, and the Pistol Marksmanship Course drills and tests.
You’ll really need the Pro version for key Drills and challenges
Pro Costs about $50…equal to three boxes of centerfire pistol ammo.
Pair with MantisX for feedback about your steady hold factors, grip, and trigger pull
Uses a any Laser training cartridge or the BlackbeardX with auto resetting trigger and embedded MantisX for AR’s
In my opinion, it would be borderline irresponsible to own a CCW pistol and not have Laser Academy Pro, the targets, a training laser, and MantisX. Everytime I get a new pistol, I dry fire it for a thousand shots before doing any live fire.

The Wyoming Traders CCW vests are my favorite for fall, winter, and spring carry.
My First Wyoming Trader’s Cody vest housed a PF9
My second Cody vest was modified to accept velcro holsters.
I have three Wyoming Traders “Sheridan Non-ccw vests, great for IWB carry. In Cinnamon, Tan, and Black.
Now a new Cody Vest protects a P17
And a slim Texas CCW vest is mated with a LCP
Cody has a YKK zipper
And when removing the vest the pistol is sandwiched from view within a pouch.
The Texas demands a bit more discretion when removing it.
Neither is meant for fast access to a chambered pistol
And the Bronco Canvas vest for kids with plenty of pockets for some paracord or a flashlight.
Or to carry their carving knife
or just look cool on the playground
And to carry BB’s for a Daisy Buck 105
Durable canvas shell, elegant snaps and buttons, and cool “Steamboat” Bronc logo. See AmbGun’s previous videos on the Wyoming Traders Vests.

To install the P17 hammer block first remove the magazine and make sure the chamber is empty.
Pull down the take down tabs and remove the slide
Insert the Hammer Block tab into the slot above firing pin
While holding down take down tabs, replace the slide.
Keep safety off to manually cycle action.
Perform a dry fire check.
Works well with the MantisX dry firing training aid.

22LR Ruger LCP II - Minuteman Review
22LR Ruger LCP II - Minuteman Review
Possibly the smallest 10 round 22LR semi-auto pistol available…the LCP II.Excellent deep concealment pocket pistol. Certainly the most adorable with its tiny, tilting barrel.
Fun and very easy to shoot fast
Many people report great reliability out of the box, it took a Galloway Precision Spring kit to get mine working well.
Accidental magazine disengagements are a problem. Stiffer mag release spring helps a bit. The Alabama pocket holster with protection of the mag button is the solution. Problem would be best solved with a P17 like paddle mag release.
Magazine safety disconnect is stupid, but is easily removed when installing the Galloway Precision Spring kit or stiffer mag release spring. Neither is an easy task, but if you lack the focus and attention to detail required, maybe CCW is not for you either.
The LCP thrives on CCI Mini-Mag. Federal punch, due to slightly longer case, has the occasional issue.
Gloves routinely get caught in trigger. Only a problem when you’re trying to change hands or holster.
Until KelTec releases an LCP sized, 10 round version of the P17, the Ruger 22LR LCP II is my favorite deep concealment pistol.
Viridian e-series laser helps with the short sight radius.

Schwinn Porter Bike Trailer - Minuteman Review #shorts
A bicycle trailer that can carry a deer carcass, firewood, water, groceries, firearms, and even a kiddo or two could prove extremely valuable in a societal collapse or grid down scenario.
I considered several brands of bike trailers and ended up choosing the Schwinn Porter Trailer. For the price, it is a capable bike trailer. While a two wheeled trailer, as opposed to a single wheeled one, is a liability on single track trails, I concluded that I wanted the load carrying capacity and stability of two wheels.
The Schwinn Porter is made of steel, so pretty durable, but not as lightweight as the more expensive aluminum trailers. It features large volume tires on alloy wheels…good for floating on sand and absorbing road shocks.
My old Tomac Cortez mountain bike pulled the trailer easily. Even with a heavy load of firewood, it towed well. My 3 year old grandson found it easy enough to tow with his tiny Early Rider balance bike. If you have multiple bikes, consider getting extra bike couplers.
Besides being so beneficial in a grid down world, it is a great way to get some exercise while getting groceries or heading to the gun range in our, currently, grid up world. More information see the link in the description.

Bearskin Tactical Hoodie 3.0 - Minuteman Review
Baerskin Tactical Hoodie 3.0
Left chest pocket is 3/4" taller than v2.0. I need another ½” for my oversized phone.
Zippered pockets are stacked on all three interior pouches.
Outside chest pocket and the two hand warmer pockets are both lined with a soft, slick nylon material. Gentle on sunglasses and gloved hands easily slide in and out. This is the change I notice most switching between v2.0 and 3.0
The zipper closure is now on the right side to prevent insult to American masculinity.
A hanging loop is beneficial…especially in public bathroom stalls
New rubber Velcro closures slim the wrist.
20 Hoodie Enhancements
Zipper Storm flap
12 pockets
2 morale patches
3 slick Lined pockets
Hanging loop
40% heavier fleece than your standard hoodie
That works out to $6 per enhancement. Cheaper per enhancement than 2.0 or your typical department store hoodie. Baerskin Tactical Hoodie is My favorite cold weather garment and is now available in Women's sizes and More colors.
Full feature review coming soon.

Daisy Buck 105 - Minuteman Review
Ambgun Minuteman review of the Daisy Buck 105
The 1.6 pound Buck 105 features an 11" length of pull ideal for 10 year olds.
My 3 year old grandson makes it work for him, but buttstock spacers would be nice.
The Buck 105 shoots hard, metal BB's at 360 fps….it consistently penetrates cans Enough to cause serious eye injury.
The ratcheting lever action makes it possible for even small younguns to cock the spring action.
The lever itself, unlike the Red Ryder's of my youth, is nylon reinforced plastic. While it does exhibit some flex, it seems very durable.
Tried an Appleseed AQT at 10 yards, about 1/3rd normal distance. Scored Sharpshooter. Kids should try it at 7 -10 yards.
Link to downloadable target in description.
If you watch "The Rifleman" with your kids or if you own and shoot a lever gun, your kids deserve a Daisy Red Ryder or Buck 105.

22LR Ruger LCP II Part 4 - Galloway Precision Spring Kit
Fixing the 22LR Ruger LCP II Lite Rack:
For Light strikes Galloway Spring Kit Heavier Hammer Spring, lighter firing pin return spring
To prevent mag disengagements, a Holster with mag button coverage
For cycling issues…Galloway Spring kit’s Heavier extractor spring
The 22LR Ruger LCP II is the preeminent deep concealment semi-auto pistol with a very high score on our rounds per size and weight spreadsheet. Second only to the KelTec P17 if you exclude the large bodied CP33 and P322. Number one if you insist on pocket carry sized semi-auto pistols.
Since the LCP II is so handsome and adorable, AmbGun has decided to call it a “work in progress”.

22LR Ruger LCP II Part 3 - Reliability and Magazine Disengagements
Accidental mag disengagements turned increasingly common.
MCARBO offers a stiffer magazine release spring.
Installation of the mag button spring requires removing the FCU.
With the LCP’s FCU disassembled, it was a good opportunity to remove the magazine disconnector so the little pistol can fire without a mag inserted (or while a mag is disengaged)
However, had I known before purchasing the extra cost and hardship of upgrading the LCP, I would have chosen a 22 caliber LCR or a S&W 43c or a NAA mini revolver. Or waited for a Keltec P10.

ASG CZ 75D Compact Airsoft - AmbGun Minuteman Review
CZ 75D compact replica 6mm spring airsoft gun features good sights with a windage adjustable rear sight
Standard accessory rail can accommodate a MantisX training aid.
Rubberized grip panels and magazine base give it a premium feel
“FCU” inside the gun looks to be mostly metal.
Safety works like the real thing
Hammer cocks back when working the slide or can be manually thumbed back. It’s just for show, but my 3 year old tester appreciates it.
Slide release is molded in the plastic, fake…3 year old does not approve.
Magazine feels solid and is easy to load. 3 year old mastered it.
Spring air, so no CO2 cartridges, no green gas, or batteries. 3 year old can't cock it. Requires Adults supervision.
Some reports of the trigger return spring breaking prematurely. It does sound like the spring is binding a bit if the trigger is pressed all the way back, so I used some self adhesive foam to create a trigger over travel stop.
At $25 it has to be one of the best spring airsoft values.

The Ruger 10/22 in Irons
I recently acquired a Ruger 10/22 with the modular stock. It didn’t have the integral pic rail, but is pre-drilled for a rail. I could have bought an extended pic rail to mount an rifle scope, but I decided that I needed to outfit an iron sight Appleseed/Liberty Training rifle.
Tech-Sights are recommended by Project Appleseed. I’ve used them on a SU16c and an AK47 with great results. So Tech-Sights Aperture sights were the obvious choice in this Appleseed build out.

USGI Canvas Sling AmbGun Minuteman Review #shorts
Our Key purpose in recommending the US Gi Canvas Sling is as a shooter’s aid
Most stable is the loop sling…sink into it's support for benchrest like steadiness.
Hasty Sling great for squatting and offhand.
Hasty, Hasty Sling for fast deployment offhand
And, yeah, you can sling your rifle for carry, too.
African muzzle down carry…………and presentation
US GI muzzle up Carry……….and presentation
Ambgun runs this sling on two Ruger 10/22’s, a BCM RECCE, the Tikka T1x, the Mossberg MVP Predator, a Henry 22LR lever, and the Henry 5.56 Long Ranger.
Why canvas over nylon? Nylon is slick slips loose, especially as a loop sling. Canvas grips.
Attend a Project Appleseed Rifle Marksmanship Clinic to get detailed instruction on the use of the sling…avoid the typical nylon sling for the best shot at earning your "Rifleman" patch. Seriously, besides a teachable attitude, it's most important.

Great for carrying in the Hill People Runner’s Kit Chest pack.
High composite score on AmbGun’s Rounds per size and weight spreadsheet
Rear sight filler plate not included in optics package, get P322 without the optic and mount a better red dot…and have the plate in case you change your mind about red dots.
Pretty reliable except for light strikes on Aquila ammo.
100% with Mini-Mag
Pay attention when loading mags…most malfunction issues arise there.
