This is a remastered YouTube Series I put together about building a budget Corvair aviation engine. This is part 6 of the series. In this video I complete all of the parts prep necessary for closing the case.

I attended the Scottsdale Aviation Expo since I was already in town. Not bad for a small aircraft sales event. Pretty cool planes! But...I did need my weekend Altitude therapy once I got back. Stay on the lookout for new content and projects coming up soon. Along with getting the HDS closer to complete.

I was able to make a trade for the 140 heads that I had for the correct set of 110 heads that I wanted. I met Mike from Mikes Corvair. He has a great line of parts for the conversion process. This was an older series I did for YouTube. I have remastered the content just for Rumble,

Its that time of year again where I have to take the plane down for a few days or a week to do the condition inspection. This year just like all of the rest has me making improvements to the plane. Follow along for more content in the future. I am going to continue posting more content on the Budget Corvair build

This is an older Youtube video I have remastered for Rumble. This is part 3 of the budget Corvair build. I was able to trade some parts to lower the cost of building this motor for an upcoming aircraft build.

Had to swap my carburetor out due to a failure. Also made progress on the 172 build.

For those of that that have never attended the Zenith Homecoming it is one of the best aviation events you can ask for. Grass roots at its finest. Builders getting together with owners and swapping stories and lessons learned. Along with taking each other up for a ride. I look forward to this every year.

So I had a free morning so no better way to spend it that burning some 100LL.

After Hurricane Hillary passed my hangar and Plane needed some attention. Plus, you can't pass up a morning flight.

I finally got the opportunity to attend the biggest aviation show on the planet. Here is what I experienced. I hope to be there next year!

This was done a few years ago. For some reason I never uploaded it.

I had 3 days available to make the most progress on the budget build that I could. I could not be happier with what I got done.

Spent a day working on the 172. This time we just ran into issue after issue. Now we need to make new elevator cables. On the bright side, the panel is out and we are able to get the new panel cut.

I finally got a two-axis autopilot installed. Had to test it out and found I need to do a little more work before taking it for a real cross country. Also updates on all of the projects and showing a new project for the first time.

So @MooseStacheFlyer had to leave his plane in Yuma and fly home for a week. He was able to fly commercially back to AZ but not directly into Yuma. Comanche 250 to the rescue.

So I had an inflight emergency that lead to my first off field landing. This is the sequence of events that caused the off field landing.
