South Korean mall fire kills 7, over 100 nearby hotel guests evacuated
A fire broke out at a shopping mall in South Korea, leaving at least seven dead and one seriously injured, a local fire station said on Monday.
Chung Ji-sun, the chairman of Hyundai Department Store Group which operates the outlet mall, inspected the scene and apologized.
“I would like to express my deepest condolences and apologies to the bereaved families," Chung said, bowing during a press briefing.
