A large Wounded Black Bear
It's difficult to watch this big guy limp on 3 legs. Several bears make an appearance and the injured bear is at 0:27 It looks like a broken leg or dislocated elbow. He could have been hit by a car, fell off a cliff or was in a fight with another bear. Also some healthy bears and a lynx in this video. Bears have an incredible ability to heal and he looks healthy so you never know he might make it. A grizzly was lurking just off-camera in one of the videos from the same week.

A Large Yukon Mutant Wolf
Twelve hours after setting my camera up this large wolf with a misshapen skull showed up. Apparently wolves often receive kicks to the head while taking down moose and caribou. The wolf still seems perfectly healthy. I think this large wolf is checking out my dog's scent from the day before.

A Grizzly Bites My Camera
May of 2023
Here is two weeks of predators on a Yukon game trail. The Grizzly makes his appearance at sunset climbing the river bank, seeming to sense the camera from below. He sniffs and bites the camera then urinates while departing. Notice the black bear arriving later seemingly spooked by the grizzly scent.

You Cannot Outrun a Bear!
Just in case you thought you could outrun a bear. This Black Bear ( ursus americanus) made an appearance on my trail cam last summer. This species can reach top speeds of 30 mph or 48 km/h. Extremely fast despite their lumbering appearance.

A Stalking Lynx and Fat Biking On Lake Labarge
Not too long ago on a Yukon remote trail camera. A bike ride with my canine companion to find a lynx, coyotes and others had passed by. Fat biking is a great way to travel in the winter when conditions are right. I highly recommend studded tires for biking on glare ice.

Giant Yukon Grizzly
First a nighttime visit from a bear. I think this is a grizzly as well- more of the size I'm used to getting on the cams. Then the arrival of a massive grizzly that dwarfs all other visitors to the scent post. There were many other passersby -that can be seen in photos at the end of the video. I will upload these videos later.

Beaver Attacks Man and Husky on a Yukon Frozen Lake.
The Arctic trails have their secret tales that would make your blood run cold.... for today Boulder I got into a fight with a beaver.
He waddled out of the woods while I was taking pictures and got into it with my dog Boulder. I got a hold of Boulder then the large angry rodent attacked my backpack then took possession of it. My dog re-entered the scrap and shortly afterwards I managed to get my backpack. Yet the aggressive rodent grabbed my jacket out of the pack. After a ridiculous argument with the beaver I retrieved my jacket. Then the friggin beaver then followed us!! Slow speed chase on the marge of lake Labarge.

Followed By A Wolverine
Hiking to the trail cams I observed some large tracks that had melted in the snow. Initially I was concerned it was a bear- out and about in the warmer weather- then I recognized the wolverine gait. The beautiful wolverine visited all three of my cameras.
