My Man Godfrey (1936) [Colorized, 4K, 60FPS] IMbD 8/10
My Man Godfrey is a 1936 American screwball comedy film directed by Gregory La Cava and starring William Powell and Carole Lombard, who had been briefly married years before appearing together in the film.[2][5] The screenplay for My Man Godfrey was written by Morrie Ryskind, with uncredited contributions by La Cava, based on 1101 Park Avenue, a short novel by Eric S. Hatch. The story concerns a socialite who hires a derelict to be her family's butler, and then falls in love with him.
In 1999, the original version of My Man Godfrey was deemed "culturally significant" by the United States Library of Congress and selected for preservation in the National Film Registry. The film was remade in 1957 with June Allyson and David Niven in the starring roles.

Classic Commercials for Defunct Products
Hit Subscribe to Get Daily Vintage Content!
A collection of US commercials for products you can no longer buy. Forgive me if there's any mistakes.
Sometimes the brand is still around but the exact product is gone (such as with "Futurama" lipstick by Revlon), sometimes both the product and brand are gone (such as with "Tip Toni"). Some only exist in-name-only, while at least one product is no longer available in the US but is still sold in another country.
The commercials are mainly from the 1950s, along with some from the 1960s and a couple from 1949. (note: this upload has too much digital compression. I advise downloading it instead of viewing it online. Also note that volume is inconsistent). I hope somebody out there enjoys this upload.

Our town (1940) [Colorized, 4k, 60fps]
Our Town is a 1940 American drama romance film adaptation of a play of the same name by Thornton Wilder starring Martha Scott as Emily Webb, and William Holden as George Gibbs. The cast also included Fay Bainter, Beulah Bondi, Thomas Mitchell, Guy Kibbee and Frank Craven. It was adapted by Harry Chandlee, Craven and Wilder, and directed by Sam Wood.
The film was a faithful reproduction of the play except for two significant changes: the film used scenery, whereas the play had not; the events of the third act, which in the play revolve around the death of one of the main characters, were turned into a dream from which she awakens, allowing her to resume a normal life. Producer Sol Lesser worked with Wilder in creating these changes.
Wilder wrote producer Sol Lesser that "Emily should live.... In a movie you see the people so close "to" that a different relation is established. In the theater, they are halfway abstractions in an allegory, in the movie they are very concrete.... It is disproportionately cruel that she die. Let her live...."[1]
A radio adaptation of the film on Lux Radio Theater on May 6, 1940, used the altered film ending.

Bettie Mae Page (April 22, 1923 – December 11, 2008) was an American model who gained notoriety in the 1950s for her pin-up photos.[2][3] She was often referred to as the "Queen of Pinups": her long jet-black hair, blue eyes, and trademark bangs have influenced artists for generations. After her death, Playboy founder Hugh Hefner called her "a remarkable lady, an iconic figure in pop culture who influenced sexuality, taste in fashion, someone who had a tremendous impact on our society".
