The Memphis Belle by William Wyler (1944) IMBd 7.3
The Memphis Belle: A Story of a Flying Fortress is a 1944 documentary film which provides an account of the final mission of the crew of the Memphis Belle, a Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress. In May 1943 it became the third U.S. Army Air Forces heavy bomber to complete 25 missions over Europe, but the first to return to the United States.
The dramatic 16 mm color film of actual battles was made by three cinematographers, including First Lieutenant Harold J. Tannenbaum. Tannenbaum, a veteran of World War I, was killed in action during the filming when the bomber he was in was shot down over France on April 16, 1943.
The film was directed by Major William Wyler, narrated by Eugene Kern, and had scenes at its station, RAF Bassingbourn, photographed by Hollywood cinematographer Captain William H. Clothier. It was made under the auspices of the First Motion Picture Unit, part of the United States Army Air Forces. The film actually depicted the next to last mission of the crew (see below) on May 15, 1943, and was made as a morale-building inspiration for the Home Front by showing the everyday courage of the men who manned these bombers

Dirty Gertie from Harlem U.S.A. 1946
Gertie LaRue (Francine Everett) is a nightclub entertainer from the Harlem neighborhood of New York City. She arrives on the Caribbean island of "Rinidad" to perform as the headliner in a revue at the Paradise Hotel. Gertie has earned the nickname "Dirty Gertie" for the casual nature in which she entices and then humiliates men. On the island, she attracts the attention of two U.S. military officers – a soldier and a sailor – whom she nicknames "Tight Pants" and "High Pockets," respectively. The men enjoy sharing Gertie’s affections. However, Diamond Joe, the owner of the hotel, finds himself falling for Gertie and begins to shower her with gifts. Gertie also attracts the attention of two missionaries – Mr. Christian and Ezra Crumm – who keep watch on Gertie’s activities. However, a former boyfriend from Harlem tracks Gertie to the island... 'Battleship Potemkin' (1925) - IMDb: 8.0/10 Ukraine Based
Hit Subscribe to Get Daily Vintage Content!
Battleship Potemkin is a Soviet silent film that loosely retells the story of the doomed 1905 mutiny where the crew of a battleship turned against their officers. It's the signature film of director Sergei Eisenstein. Like his movie Strike, released the same year, Battleship Potemkin made innovative use of editing and montage.
Indeed, it features plenty of bold visuals and confident filmmaking. It's blatant propaganda, of course, but was ahead of its time and highly influential. The famous scene filmed at the Odesa steps in Ukraine has been referenced by countless filmmakers, including Brian De Palma in The Untouchables, Terry Gilliam in Brazil, and George Lucas in Revenge of the Sith.

Bettie Page "Pin Up Beauties Fight", 1950s

Bettie and popular model June King in energetic cat-fight wresting scene with a good deal of spanking added. Interesting, almost arty, opening shot of just their feet (Klaw had a lot of foot fetish customers). Most likely the same film where Bettie seriously injured her knee which led to a religious revelation as described in her bio "The Real Bettie Page" (p. 64).

London to Brighton Veteran Car Run 1950s - 1917's cars
A wonderful film from the 1950s. All cars had to be made before 1917 to qualify. Take a look at the "modern cars" of the day. The film shows the cars as they pass through the streets of London and then as they arrive in Brighton. This event still goes on today. The film Geneveve was all about this very "race" Its all very British old chap, wot ho.

First Ever Kiss On Film (1896)
This is the very first screen kiss ever filmed, the year was 1896. The lady seems a little embarrassed and reluctant, but it had never been done before so its not really surprising. Four years later in 1900 the couple are far more daring with big pecks, and seem to be enjoying it. Very naughty stuff for the time. Not bad quality for films over 100 years old.

Meet John Doe (1941) [Colorized, 4k, 60fps] Full Movie
Meet John Doe is a 1941 American comedy-drama film directed and produced by Frank Capra, written by Robert Riskin, and starring Gary Cooper and Barbara Stanwyck. The film is about a "grassroots" political campaign created unwittingly by a newspaper columnist with the involvement of a hired homeless man and pursued by the paper's wealthy owner.[2] It became a box-office hit and was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Story. It was ranked No. 49 in AFI's 100 Years ... 100 Cheers. In 1969, the film entered the public domain in the United States because the claimants did not renew its copyright registration in the 28th year after publication.[3] It was the first of two features Capra made for Warner Brothers, after he left Columbia Pictures, the other being Arsenic and Old Lace (1944).

My Favorite Brunette (1947) [Colorized,4k,60fps] Bob Hope Full Movie
My Favorite Brunette is a 1947 American romantic comedy film and film noir parody, directed by Elliott Nugent and starring Bob Hope and Dorothy Lamour. Written by Edmund Beloin and Jack Rose, the film is about a baby photographer on death row in San Quentin State Prison who tells reporters his history. While taking care of his private-eye neighbor's office, he is asked by an irresistible baroness to find a missing baron, which initiates a series of confusing but sinister events in a gloomy mansion and a private sanatorium. Spoofing movie detectives and the film noir style, the film features Lon Chaney, Jr. playing Willie, a character based on his Of Mice and Men role Lennie; Peter Lorre as Kismet, a comic take on his many film noir roles; and cameo appearances by film noir regular Alan Ladd and Hope partner Bing Crosby. Sequences were filmed in San Francisco and Pebble Beach, California

Attack of the Giant Leeches (1959) [Colorized, 4K, 60FPS] Full Movie
Attack of the Giant Leeches (originally to be called The Giant Leeches) is an independently made, 1959 black-and-white science fiction-horror film, produced by Gene Corman and directed by Bernard L. Kowalski. It stars Ken Clark, Yvette Vickers, Bruno VeSota and Jan Shepard. The screenplay was written by Leo Gordon. The film was released by American International Pictures on a double bill with A Bucket of Blood. Later, in some areas in 1960, Leeches played on a double bill with the Roger Corman film House of Usher.
Attack of the Giant Leeches was one of a spate of "creature features" produced during the 1950s in response to Cold War fears; a character in the film speculates that the leeches have been mutated to giant size by atomic radiation from nearby Cape Canaveral.

Reefer Madness (1936) [Colorized, 4K, 60FPS] Full Movie
Reefer Madness (originally made as Tell Your Children and sometimes titled The Burning Question, Dope Addict, Doped Youth, and Love Madness) is a 1936 American propaganda film about drugs, revolving around the melodramatic events that ensue when high-school students are lured by pushers to try marijuana – upon trying it, they become addicted, eventually leading them to become involved in various crimes such as a hit and run accident, manslaughter, murder, conspiracy to murder and attempted rape. While this is all happening they suffer hallucinations, descend into insanity, associate with organized crime and (in one character's case) commit suicide. The film was directed by Louis J. Gasnier and featured a cast of mainly little-known actors.
Originally financed by a church group under the title Tell Your Children, the film was intended to be shown to parents as a morality tale attempting to teach them about the dangers of cannabis use. Soon after the film was shot, it was purchased by producer Dwain Esper, who re-cut the film for distribution on the exploitation film circuit, exploiting vulgar interest while escaping censorship under the guise of moral guidance, beginning in 1938–1939 through the 1940s and 1950s.
The film was "rediscovered" in the early 1970s and gained new life as an unintentional satire among advocates of cannabis policy reform.[5][6] Critics have called it one of the worst films ever made and has gained a cult following within cannabis culture. Today, it is in the public domain in the United States

Wizard Wick Deodorizer Commercial from 1955
1955 U.S. commercial for a product called "Wizard Wick", designed to remove unpleasant smells like tobacco, fish, onions and cabbage from someone's house. This is a very low budget commercial as it aired during daytime (hence, also, why it makes such emphasis on the woman of the house). (note: as of 25 July 2014 the files have been changed...hopefully the picture quality will be better now)
