LOS ANGELES, Pacoima --- On February 16, 2024, approximately at 7:50 a.m., officers from the Foothill Division responded to a report of a Restraining Order Violation at a residence in the 13200 block of Paxton Street.
The caller, identified as the Person Reporting (PR), indicated that she had a restraining order against her husband, who was present at the location.
Upon arrival, officers were directed by a witness to a rear house on the property, where they met with the PR who confirmed the presence of the suspect, later identified as 52-year-old Pete Garcia. Despite officers' requests, Garcia refused to exit the location.
After verbal communication attempts failed, officers initiated entry. A physical struggle ensued as they attempted to detain Garcia. During the struggle, Garcia produced a pistol from his waistband and aimed it at the officers. In response, one of the officers deployed a Taser, prompting Garcia to discharge one round from his pistol at the officers, leading to an Officer-Involved Shooting. Fortunately, Garcia was not hit by gunfire and was successfully apprehended without further incident.
Following the incident, Garcia was transported to a local hospital by Fire Department ambulance for treatment of unrelated medical issues. He was subsequently booked and charged with Attempted Murder on a Police Officer and is currently held on $2,080,000 bail.
The firearm possessed by Garcia was identified as a Polymer pistol (Ghost Gun), which was recovered at the scene and submitted as evidence.
One officer involved in the shooting sustained an injury to his left hand during the incident. He was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment and later released. It was determined that the officer's injury was likely caused by a round fired by Garcia, which struck a metal bed frame and caused fragments to impale the officer's hand.
Fortunately, no other members of the community were injured during the altercation.
The caller had a valid restraining
order against Garcia.
He was subsequently arrested and booked
for attempt murder on a peace officer.
On February 21st, 2024, the Los Angeles county district
attorney's office filed the following charges against Garcia.
One count of attempt murder on a peace officer, two counts of assault with a deadly weapon on a peace officer, one
count of resisting an executive officer.
One count of Felon with a firearm with an
enhancement.
And one count of possession of a
firearm in violation of a restraining order.

On Tuesday, March 12th, 2024, deputies from the Flagler County Sheriff's Office apprehended three individuals for stealing nearly $2,000 worth of merchandise from Bath & Body Works and TJ Maxx.
According to authorities, at around 2:30 p.m. on the aforementioned date, deputies were dispatched to the Palm Coast Landing shopping area following reports of three suspects, wearing surgical masks, shoplifting from the mentioned stores in Palm Coast's Town Center. Upon arrival, Master Deputy Jackson observed two females matching the suspects' descriptions hastily exiting the stores, each carrying sizable shopping bags.
Upon activating his emergency lights, the two suspects, identified as Amanda Wright, 36, and Tiara Gailyard, 29, both residents of Jacksonville, were seen attempting to enter a white Toyota Sedan, driven by Gerald Jenkins, 28, also from Jacksonville. M/D Jackson approached the driver's side and instructed Jenkins to halt the vehicle. However, Jenkins ignored the commands, reversing the vehicle dangerously, nearly striking M/D Jackson and a nearby witness's vehicle. Additionally, the vehicle's license plate was concealed with a surgical mask.
Despite efforts by deputies to deploy StopSticks near Amoco on Highway 100 East at I-95, the vehicle swerved to avoid them, ultimately ending up in a water retention area beside the gas station. All three suspects were promptly apprehended after being extracted from the partially submerged vehicle.
A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed stolen property from the targeted businesses, as well as merchandise and bags from numerous other retailers. Additionally, a metal magnetic device utilized for removing anti-theft devices at retail stores was discovered. The total value of stolen merchandise from the Palm Coast retail stores amounted to just over $1,836, which included 50 candles from Bath & Body Works.
All three suspects were arrested and transported to the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility.
Jenkins was found to have three active fugitive warrants from Hillsborough, Marion, and Duval Counties, for offenses including Retail Theft, Grand Theft, and Driving While License Suspended, among others. He was apprehended on charges of Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer, Driving While License Suspended with Knowledge, and Use/Possession of an Anti-Shoplifting Countermeasure Device. Wright, who was on probation following a retail theft conviction in Jacksonville in July 2022, faces charges including Violation of Probation, Shoplifting, Resisting an Officer Without Violence, and Use/Possession of an Anti-Shoplifting Countermeasure Device. She is also being held without bond.

Shortly after 11 p.m. deputies arrived on scene and during their investigation they learned the suspect of that assault identified as 38-year-old Larry Doyle Simmons allegedly struck the victim with an object before fleeing the scene on foot. Deputies initiated a search for Simmons in and around the area at around 11:15 p.m. deputies encountered an armed man they believed to be the suspect. Deputies encountered an armed man they believed to be the suspect concealing himself behind a pickup truck, after identifying themselves multiple times as the Sheriff's Office, the subject fired at 12 gauge shotgun at deputies before one Deputy returned fire striking the subject. Deputies maintained cover until a K9 arrived on scene to safely separate the subject from the firearm that he was possessing. Here is an aerial infrared Drone footage showing the deputy's approach to the subject next to his firearm. After deeming the scene safe Sheriff's Office Medics moved in to attempt first aid, however it was discovered the subject identified as 51-year-old Robert Lee Campbell was deceased. According to the Greenville County Coroner he died from multiple gunshot wounds. No one else were injured. While deputies were on scene they located and apprehended the original suspect Simmons who had been hiding in a lot next to the shooting scene. Police said at the time of this release it has not been determined why Campbell fired at deputies however it is clear he took no part in the initial assault. According to an arrest warrant, the victim of the assault and a witness to the incident both provided statements stating that Simmons opened the door to the victim’s vehicle and struck them with a board. Greenville County deputies charged 38-year-old Larry Doyle Simmons with third degree assault and battery.
Agents from the South Carolina law enforcement division conducted an investigation into the officer involved shooting, the firearm possessed by Campbell and used to shoot at deputies was discovered to be a loaded 12 gauge pump shotgun that was collected by SLED agents and seized as evidence. Uncensored: The Killing Of Officer Jonah Hernandez. + Hero Citizen. Las Cruses Police Feb 11, 2024
WARNING: 🛑Hard to watch.🛑
Please Subscribe!
The incident occurred shortly before 5 p.m. on Sunday, February 11, 2024. when Las Cruses Police Officer Jonah Hernandez, was responding to a trespassing call by the owner of the property on the 300 block of south Valley Drive.
There has been a history of trespassing, vandalism, starting fires, erratic behavior and people leaving needles on that property. The suspect was confronted by the property owner the day before and asked or told to leave.
The investigation has revealed that, when officer Hernandez arrived at the scene, the suspect, Armando Silva, 29, immediately attacked him with a large kitchen knife. After stabbing officer Hernandez, Silva, a man with a history of crimes and mental ilness, tried attacking a bystander who witnessed the unprovoked attack on Hernandez. That witness retrieved his own firearm, shot and killed Silva.
Another witness then utilized Hernandez’s radio to call for help.
Officer Hernandez was transported to MountainView Regional Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries.
Hernandez served as a Las Cruces Police Department officer since June 2022.
Officer Jonah Hernandez is survived by his wife, Yesenia Lopez, and two sons: Sebastian Jonah, 10, and 2-year-old Joaquin Leonel. Hernandez was from El Monte, California., and grew up in El Paso, Texas. He was a 2006 graduate of Americas High School.
The mother of Armando Silva, Xochitl Hernandez also made a statement.
As a mother and a citizen of the Las Cruces Community, I am very torn and troubled over the recent tragic events that lead to the loss of two beautiful human lives. I would like to clarify that my son was not a “homeless vagrant” as he is being portrayed. He was a young man, that has suffered from severe mental illness for many years now. For those of us who knew him, this very tragic event, was out of character for him. I cannot sit here and try to defend his actions, I know he committed a crime and took a life, as a result his was taken too. We will never really know or understand what was going
through his mind at the time. We can discuss and argue over the WHY and point blame, but that gets nowhere.
I don’t know what is worse, knowing that your child killed someone, or hearing that your son is deceased and no longer in this life with you.
My heart goes out to the fallen officer that was killed in the line of duty. I feel so much sorrow for his family and loved ones, for the community, and for his life that has ended.
My thoughts and prayers to the civilian that intervened and assisted as we hope anyone of us would do for each other in our community. It was a very difficult decision and I worry about their emotional and mental state at this time due to the traumatic event of having to make that choice.
There is a mental health crisis in our community. The issue needs to be addressed. For the safety of lives, as well as the sake and future of our community. We hope and pray that our community keeps this unity and fights for change. Unfortunately, we cannot
change what has already happened, but hopefully we can heal together as a community,
by joining together and advocating for change.
The officer should not have fallen in the line of duty like this, my son should not have lost
his life this way. My prayers, thoughts, and love to everyone involved in this tragedy.

Please Subscribe!
The Clark County Sheriff’s Office has released multiple body camera recordings of a fatal deputy-involved shooting that occurred on February 20th, 2024.
The incident began when a woman dialed 911 just after midnight to express concerns about her mother's safety. She reported that her mother was at the residence of a male family member in Bush Prairie. The daughter stated that her mother was calling from the male family member's phone, her behavior was strange, and she was making statements that, didn't sound like herself.
As deputies were en route to the location, they came across an unrelated incident involving a severely intoxicated driver, requiring immediate attention.
While dealing with the intoxicated driver, the daughter called 911 again, reporting that her mother had contacted her, claiming she was being held hostage and that there were "guns everywhere" before abruptly hanging up. This prompted additional deputies to respond to the residence.
Upon arrival at 1:17 A.M., deputies approached the property where the suspect lived in an RV. They encountered both the suspect and the victim standing outside the RV.
As they approach the residence, Deputies make phone contact with the suspect.
Deputy one asks the victim, is everything ok... what happened?
The victim tells Deputy one that she wants to go home and the suspect is armed.
Deputy one asks, "is it on him currently?"
Deputy one tells Sergeant, she's acting really weird and she says he has a gun on him.
Deputy one then asks the victim, did a crime occur?
She answers yes.
Deputy one asks the victim, what happened?
She responds that the suspect has been acting strange lately.
Deputy one asks the victim, what crime occurred?
The victim describes being sexually assaulted by the suspect.
During the encounter, three deputies discharged their firearms, with two deputies witnessing the incident.
After gaining control of the scene, deputies immediately administered first aid to the suspect, including the application of chest seals, an automated external defibrillator, and CPR until medical personnel arrived. Police said, it is a policy of the state of Washington that all law enforcement personnel provide or facilitate first aid such that it is rendered at earliest safe opportunity to injured persons at a scene controlled by law enforcement. The suspect later identified as 53-year-old Jonathan Gale was pronounced deceased at the scene, while the victim was transported to the hospital for evaluation.
Following standard protocol, five Clark County Sheriff’s deputies involved in the incident have been placed on Critical Incident Leave.

The Phoenix Police Department has released body camera and 911 call, related to an officer-involved shooting which occurred on February 13, 2024.
This incident unfolded following an emergency call reporting an unknown disturbance at an apartment near 19th Avenue and Berridge Lane. The caller reported a man was holding her mother at gunpoint and forced her back into their apartment into their residence.
Upon arrival, officers swiftly surrounded the apartment. Peering through windows, they witnessed the assailant physically assaulting the victim in a bedroom. Officers issued commands for all occupants to exit the premises. However, the suspect responded by brandishing a firearm from a window, firing shots at officers positioned at the rear of the residence. In response to the imminent threat, one of the officers returned fire.

On February 3, 2024, at 2:14 p.m., LAPD officers responded to a report of an "Assault with a Deadly Weapon" on Towne Avenue's 600 block. The call indicated an intoxicated suspect armed with a stick was threatening employees.
Upon arrival, officers met with the Person Reporting, who recounted the suspect's entry into a warehouse business on the 4th floor of East 7th Street's 800 block, instructing them to leave. Fearing for their safety, the Person Reporting contacted the police and signed a Private Persons Arrest for Trespass. They directed the officers to the 4th floor, expressing concern about the suspect's access to sharp and metal objects inside.
Once on the 4th floor, the officers observed the suspect later identified as 36-year-old Jason Lee Maccani resident of Camarillo inside the business and ordered him to exit with his hands up. Maccani initially complied then turned and charged toward the officers with a white object protruding from the bottom of his clenched right hand, which was held at chest level. one of the officers observed Maccani holding what he believed to be a screwdriver and deployed a 40 mm less lethal foam projectile round, another officer fired two bean bag shotgun rounds at Maccani however all of the less lethal Munitions were ineffective. Maccani persisted in his advance, grabbing one of the officers and her beanbag shotgun. This escalation led to an Officer-Involved Shooting.
Maccani was struck by gunfire, subdued, and taken into custody without further resistance. Officers provided immediate medical assistance until the arrival of Los Angeles Fire Department personnel. Maccani was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. Subsequently, the object originally thought to be a knife was determined to be a white plastic fork.
Jason Maccani's only prior encounter with law enforcement was a DUI charge under section 23152(A) back in 2005 in Ventura County.
He graduated from UCLA with a degree in mechanical engineering in 2011. According to his family, he had been grappling with bipolar disorder in recent years.

Female Deputies Shoots Resident Thinking She's A Burglar. Feb 3, 2024.

Houston, Texas --- The Harris County Sheriff’s Office released body camera of an officer-involved shooting that occurred on February 3, 2024.
On February 3, 2024, at around 2:10 a.m., Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to an "In Progress" call at 90 Uvalde Road. The caller reported a possible intruder inside her apartment. By 2:14 a.m., the first deputy arrived and conducted a thorough search of the apartment, finding no signs of an intruder. However, before leaving, a resident from a neighboring apartment alerted the deputies to a break-in at another nearby unit.
Responding to the reported break-in, deputies observed damage to a window near the front door, with shattered glass and raised blinds. Upon knocking and announcing their presence at the front door, deputies peered through the broken window and spotted a female approaching, holding a firearm. In response, two deputies discharged their duty weapons, striking the woman. Immediate life-saving measures were initiated, and the wounded female was transported to a local hospital by North Channel Emergency Medical Services.
Following a safety sweep of the apartment, no additional individuals were found inside. However, a handgun was discovered within the premises, believed to be the same firearm observed by deputies prior to the discharge of their weapons.
The injured female is reported to be in stable condition at the hospital, with no other injuries reported. Subsequent investigation revealed that the wounded woman is, in fact, a resident of the apartment, along with another female companion. They had purportedly broken their own window to gain entry due to not having a key.
As per standard HCSO protocols, the two deputies involved in the incident have been placed on administrative leave. The investigation into the matter is ongoing under the purview of the Sheriff's Office Homicide Unit.

In Tucson, Arizona, the Pima County Sheriff’s Department has made public a series of materials, including a 911 call, bodycam footage, and images, shedding light on the events of December 21, 2023. On that night, deputies from the department responded to a residence near Shannon and Overton roads in Casas Adobes following a 911 call reporting a domestic dispute over the custody of a child.
"We have a problem, he tried to take the kid," a person who later identifies himself as the child's grandfather says in the 911 call. "He is trying to say he has the paperwork and the mother is not here, I'm the grandfather and we are not going to let him take the kid."
Upon arrival, deputies encountered Sanchez, aged 29, who did not have court-ordered custody of the child and refused to separate from them, intending to leave with the child against the family's wishes.
As deputies attempted to apprehend Sanchez, a struggle ensued, leading to a physical altercation. The sequence escalated with the sound of gunfire. Subsequently, an exchange of gunfire between officers and Sanchez occurred, with over a dozen shots heard in the footage. The confrontation resulted in both deputies and Sanchez were shot.
Sanchez managed to flee the scene initially but was later apprehended nearby. All parties involved, including the deputies Jaylon McEuen and Leonardo Wells, and Sanchez, were transported to Banner University Medical Center with severe injuries.
Following treatment, Sanchez was placed under arrest and faces multiple felony charges, including attempted murder, felony endangerment, and custodial interference. Both deputies have since been discharged from the hospital and are recuperating at home with their families. Wells, it was clarified, was the deputy who discharged his firearm during the encounter, as confirmed by Pima County officials.

Police Chase Florida Man Who Ran A Red Light At 100 MPH - February 4, 2024
Please Like and Subscribe!
The Marion County Sheriff's Office released dashcam, body camera footage of a high speed chase that occured on February 4, 2024.
Around 10:30 p.m. Marion County Sheriff's Office Corporal Jordan Tripp witnessed a silver BMW two thousand two running a red light at the intersection of South West 38th Street and South West 80th Avenue in the city of Ocala. The driver later identified as 19-year-old Michael Gonzalez drove around Corporal Tripp while speeding at approximately a hundred Miles per hour through the intersection. Corporal Tripp, stationed at the red light, promptly activated his emergency lights and siren, initiating a pursuit in an attempt to catch up to Gonzalez's vehicle. Gonzalez continued to evade capture, reaching speeds exceeding a hundred Miles per hour for several miles. However, upon reaching the 7900 block of South West 80th Avenue, Gonzalez lost control of the vehicle, causing it to spin out onto the grass on the west side of the roadway.
Corporal Tripp approached the vehicle, but Gonzalez persisted in attempting to flee. Given the high speeds, erratic driving, and the residential setting, the pursuit was terminated in the interest of public safety. Approximately 30 minutes later, other deputies in the vicinity located Gonzalez's vehicle. Corporal Milton Manchester executed a traffic stop, with Gonzalez pulling into a gas station. A felony stop was conducted, resulting in Gonzalez's arrest.
What is a felony stop?
A "felony" or "high-risk" traffic stop occurs when police stop a vehicle which they have strong reason to believe contains a driver or passenger suspected of having committed a serious crime, especially of a nature that would lead the police to believe the suspects may be armed (such as an armed robbery, assault with a weapon, or an outstanding felony warrant for the registered owner).
When questioned by Corporal Tripp about his actions, Gonzalez admitted to fleeing because he believed he could escape and it would be fun. Gonzalez was charged with Fleeing to Elude a Law Enforcement Officer with Disregard for Safety, a third-degree felony carrying a potential 5-year prison sentence. He was subsequently transported to the Marion County Jail.

Upon revealing he didn't possess a valid license, the driver attempted to flee, prompting the officer to intervene by stepping on the brakes, resulting in being dragged by the vehicle. Despite the partner's use of a taser that was ineffective. The driver, still dragging the officer, shifted the car into reverse, prompting the partner to fire two shots, striking the driver in the chest. The driver succumbed to his injuries after being transported to the hospital.
Upon further investigation, the police discovered a Glock "ghost gun" equipped with an extended magazine modified for fully automatic firing. A "Ghost gun" is described by the police as unregulated and untraceable firearms without serial numbers. Additionally, a significant quantity of narcotics, including oxycodone, crack cocaine, ecstasy, promethazine, marijuana, a scale, and cash, was recovered.
The passenger in the vehicle was initially taken into custody for questioning but was later released. The driver, unnamed by the police, was on bond for receiving and concealing a stolen vehicle and carrying a concealed weapon. It was noted that he was prohibited from possessing a weapon.

Philadelphia police have released new video footage depicting a shooting incident that occurred on January 26, 2024 that resulted in an injured officer, the death of one suspect, and the ongoing search for another.
According to authorities, both officers were patrolling one of the city's most dangerous crime areas when they stopped for a security check at a corner store located at 2859 North Masher and Cambria streets.
The officer is seen approaching three individuals, where he reportedly observed a a firearm in the pocket on one of them, identified as 28-year-old Alexander Spencer, who was wanted for a non-fatal shooting in the area. The second officer, later identified as Raheem Hall, becomes aware of the weapon as he enters the store, leading to a swift struggle.
A scuffle ensues, resulting in both officers falling to the ground with Spencer just before two gunshots are heard. According to police, one of those shots was fired by Spencer, striking one of the officers in the leg four times as he crouched on the ground. Police said the bullet goes in his thigh out his thigh in the back of his calf and out the front of his leg. In response, Officer Hall fired his weapon, fatally striking Spencer.
Police clarify that the officers' guns remained holstered until the suspect opened fire, and during the incident, the struck officer's gun failed to fire. Following the exchange, 42-year-old Jose Quinones-Mendez is observed taking the suspect’s gun and fleeing the store. He is wanted for charges including Violation of the Uniform Firearms Act (VUFA), Theft, Obstruction of Justice, and Tampering with Evidence. A $10,000 reward by the Philadelphia's police union is being offered for any information leading to his arrest.
The officer who was shot in the leg was taken to the hospital and listed in stable condition, officials said. He was later released from the hospital Monday afternoon January 29th.
Deputy Commissioner said: "on the night of the shooting we thought that the officer was shot two times cuz he had four wounds all right, we now know that he had a double perforating wound so he was down in a crouch uh during the struggle his leg was bent and the bullet goes in his thigh, out his thigh in the back of his calf and out the front of his leg. So one bullet went through four times all right through his leg so the four injuries"
