One fateful night, during a rare celestial event known as the Stellar Tides, a radiant shooting star plunged into the ocean, creating a glowing whirlpool of light. Drawn to its beauty, Umi swam toward it and discovered a mysterious, glowing pearl. Upon touching it, she was transported into a magical space where she could hear the hum of the universe—a melody unlike anything she had ever known.

The pearl revealed itself to be a gift from Luna Mare, the goddess of the stars and sea, who admired Umi’s boundless curiosity and determination. Luna Mare offered Umi the chance to unite her two loves—music and exploration—and bring joy to beings both above and below the waves. With the pearl’s power, Umi transformed into Umi☆Cosmic, the first-ever mermaid idol with the ability to travel between oceans and galaxies, spreading light, hope, and music wherever she went.

Now as Umi☆Cosmic, she dedicates her life to connecting the universe’s many hearts through song. She believes music has the power to bridge the deepest oceans and the farthest stars. Her performances are filled with mesmerizing visuals of cosmic waves, glowing jellyfish, and sparkling constellations, creating a magical escape for her fans.

Despite her ethereal origins, Umi☆Cosmic remains down-to-earth.
