A team of archaeologists affiliated with several institutions in France and one in Germany has found that ritualized human sacrifice was common across Europe during the Neolithic.
As they report in the journal Science Advances, the group studied the remains of three women found in a tomb in France who appeared to have been ritually brutalized sometime between 4000 and 3500 BCE and compared the remains with others like them found at sites in Europe.
The work began with the study of the remains of three women found in a tomb in Saint-Paul-Trois-Châteaux—two of the bodies showed the women were buried in unusual positions, one on her back with her legs bent upward, the other in a prone position with her neck on the torso of the other woman—characteristics associated with incaprettamento, a murder technique used by organized criminals as a means of intimidation in modern times.
The third woman was lying on her side. One of the women also had a piece of a grindstone set on her skull and another appeared to have been buried alive. The positioning, the researchers suggest, indicates that the victims were likely killed where they lay. They also note that in addition to the odd positioning of the bodies relative to one another, they were also all oriented toward the solstice.
Saint-Paul-Trois-Châteaux and the area surrounding pits 69 and 70. Credit: Science Advances (2024). DOI: 10.1126/sciadv.adl3374
The researchers suggest the positioning likely meant that the women had all been killed using a form of ritualized asphyxiation—ligature strangulation—where the weight of a victim's own body results in strangulation.
To add more credence to their theory, they searched the literature for other instances of similar finds in other parts of Europe. They found 20 cases, from sites in Spain, Catalonia and Eastern Europe. Some of the earliest examples dated to between 5400 and 4800 BCE., an indication that forced forms of positional asphyxiation were conducted as part of ritualistic sacrifices all across Europe for thousands of years. They note also that rock carvings found in a cave in Italy depicted the form of human sacrifice they observed in the cave in France.
STONE-DEAD Inside Stonehenge’s dark past on the summer solstice – from human sacrifices to skinned corpses and a twin torture site
https://www.the-sun.com/news/3124728/stonehenge-dark-history-archaeology-summer-solstice/
Professor Wolfgang Neubauer, who worked at the site, believed the bodies were from around 3,800BC and explained the “very peculiar burial rituals”.
He said: “They had defleshment, they had cutting off heads – heads were actually treated completely differently than the other parts of the body.
“There was preparation of the bones to be put into this large tomb, which was a tomb for the whole community."
Not only was all skin and flesh prized off but the bones were broken into small pieces that were then buried.
Once the tomb was full, Professor Neubauer believed they submerged it along and left other tributes to either the dead or the gods.

West's decapitation assassination of Gaza allies tactic failing, reveals fragile EU/US rulers' fears
The Leader of the Lebanese resistance movement, Hezbollah says Israel and its western benefactors should avoid a direct conflict with Hezbollah due to the resistance group's high military capacity which is well-manifested in its recent operations.
Hezbollah Secretary General was addressing a ceremony honoring Talib Abdallah, one of the group’s commanders who was recently killed by Israel. The Lebanese leader stressed that Israel’s assassination of its top commanders would never sow doubt in the resistance group’s determination. Nasrallah described Lebanon’s battle with Israel as a supporting front for the resistance in Gaza, which has inflicted heavy losses on Israel. Nasrallah however said that Lebanon has acquired detailed information about Israel's vital sites and is prepared for the worst case scenario, in case of any direct confrontation. The Lebanese resistance leader also said Israel’s failures in face of Palestinians' brave resistance have forced the regime to fabricate a Gaza victory to deceive people at home.
Gaza will be the grave of the Western-led world order
By supporting Israel’s atrocities in Gaza, the West has shredded what remains of its credibility and brought the ‘rules-based’ world order it purports to lead to the point of no return.
Saul J Takahashi, Professor of Human Rights and Peace Studies at Osaka Jogakuin University in Osaka, Japan
https://www.aljazeera.com/opinions/2024/1/17/gaza-will-be-the-grave-of-the-western-led-world-order
No matter how it concludes, South Africa’s lawsuit in the International Court of Justice arguing Israel has violated the Genocide Convention will go down in history. It will either be remembered as the first step towards finally holding a rogue state accountable for repeated, longstanding violations of international law; or as the last, dying breath of a dysfunctional, Western-led international system.
For the hypocrisy of Western governments (and the Western political elite as a whole) has finally brought the so-called “rules-based world order” they purport to lead to the point of no return. Full-throttled Western support for Israel’s genocidal rampage in Gaza has truly exposed the double standards of the West with regard to human rights and international law. There is no turning back, and the West has only its own arrogance to blame.
The litany of war crimes and crimes against humanity committed by Israel in Gaza are clear as the light of day for anybody who has access to a smartphone. Social media feeds are overflowing with videoclips of hospitals and schools being bombed, fathers pulling out the lifeless bodies of their children from under destroyed buildings, mothers crying over the corpses of their babies. And yet, the reaction of Western governments – besides seemingly limitless military and political support – has been to label any criticism of Israel as anti-Semitism and attempt to ban outright any expression of solidarity with the Palestinian people.
West's policy of 'decapitation', assassination of Gaza's friends reveals fragility of their rule

Hamas condemns 'fascist' Israel’s use of starvation as weapon against Palestinians in besieged Gaza
Thousands Of Starving Children In Southern Gaza Cut Off From Care, Says UNICEF
The nearly 3,000 Palestinian children experiencing acute malnutrition are at risk of "dying before their families' eyes" as Israel continues to attack Rafah.
https://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/entry/thousands-starving-children-southern-gaza-care-unicef-israel-malnutrition_n_666a1865e4b076909e1cffe7
Thousands of starving Palestinian children in southern Gaza are at risk of “dying before their families’ eyes,” according to the United Nations — a stark warning as Israel’s continued assault on Rafah cuts off access to the region’s health care facilities and life-saving treatment for malnutrition.
The nearly 3,000 affected children make up about three-quarters of the Palestinian youth in southern Gaza who were estimated to have been receiving care for moderate to severe acute malnutrition before Israel expanded its military offensive into Rafah, according to reporting from nutrition partners working with the United Nations Children’s Fund, or UNICEF.
“Horrific images continue to emerge from Gaza of children dying before their families’ eyes due to the continued lack of food, nutrition supplies and the destruction of healthcare services,” Adele Khodr, UNICEF’s regional director for the Middle East and North Africa, said in a statement on Tuesday.
“Unless treatment can be quickly resumed for these 3,000 children, they are at immediate and serious risk of becoming critically ill, acquiring life-threatening complications, and joining the growing list of boys and girls who have been killed by this senseless, man-made deprivation,” she continued.
Israel’s deadly military offensive in Gaza has entered its ninth month after Hamas militants attacked Israel on Oct. 7, killing about 1,200 people and taking about 250 hostages, roughly half of whom were released late last year. Since then, Israeli forces have killed more than 37,000 people — mostly women and children, according to the Gaza Health Ministry — displaced most of Gaza’s population, destroyed hospitals and blocked humanitarian assistance like food and clean water from entering the enclave.
“Numbers are numbing. Seeing this on the news over and over again, there is a kind of normalization that happens because people feel helpless,” Dr. Audrey McMahon, a pediatric psychiatrist who worked with Gaza’s children, told Doctors Without Borders. “But these children are human beings that have the same right to have a life lived in peace, to have access to good food, to grow healthy. They should have a right to have dreams and hope for the future.”
“Children are born where they’re born, and it doesn’t make them belong to any type of group,” she continued. “They are just children.”
Initially, images of child starvation in northern Gaza shocked the world as Palestinians grew desperate for humanitarian aid that was not arriving. Visibly emaciated babies and small children were shown clinging on to life while some families spoke of having to resort to eating animal feed and grass.
Humanitarian groups say that the aid situation has slightly improved in the north, but with Israeli forces still attacking Rafah and blocking major aid routes in the area, children in south and central Gaza are becoming malnourished, with virtually no access to proper health care.
Due to their metabolism, children are more susceptible to malnutrition, which leads to dangerously low blood sugar levels and stunts their growth, according to Dr. Tanya Haj-Hasan, a Doctors Without Borders pediatrician who has worked with Gaza’s youth.
“As adults, we need to eat so that we have energy, but our brains are fully developed. So if we are malnourished for some period of time, it’s very unlikely to impact our cognitive ability in the long term. Whereas in children, that’s not true at all,” she told the group earlier this month. “We know that starvation over time will eventually not only stunt the growth of their bodies, but also the growth of their brains and lead to developmental delays later in life and an inability to reach their full cognitive potential.”
Recent malnutrition screenings in Gaza’s southern and central governorates show that cases of moderate and severe malnutrition have risen since the second week of May, when Israel’s assault on Rafah drastically cut off aid access, according to UNICEF.
Treating a malnourished child usually takes between six and eight weeks of uninterrupted care, the agency said, and requires special therapeutic food and formula — items that are rare at a time when Palestinians also face infection and disease due to collapsed water and health care systems.
“Malnourished children also have compromised immune systems. So a simple infection like a virus or a diarrheal illness that would be totally recoverable in a healthy person could actually lead to a malnourished child’s death,” Haj-Hasan told Doctors Without Borders.

Scandal at Dolphin Square: A Notorious History by Simon Danczuk, & Daniel Smith
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/59659960-scandal-at-dolphin-square
The first book to tell the scandal-filled story of Dolphin Square, the UK's most notorious address In 1937 Dolphin Square was built in London's Pimlico, a major development offering 1,250 flats to well-to-do private individuals. From the outset, it attracted the great and the good - in particular, a long roll-call of Members of Parliament and celebrities. It was perhaps inevitable that scandal would follow not far behind. In fact, in less than a century Dolphin Square has established itself as arguably the most notorious address in the country. This, then, is the story of the Square - not of its topography, but of its people, an extraordinary array of characters who have borne witness to and been pivotal in some of the most scandalous episodes in the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. It is a story replete with mysterious deaths, espionage, illicit love affairs, glamour, politics and scandal - from Oswald Moseley, the Carry On gang and Profumo, to allegations of VIP sexual abuse rings. A saga of colour and shade, populated by a cast of Dickens-esque larger-than-life characters, that shines a light on the evolving nature of British politics and society over the last century.

Heatwave UK: Five great British summers over the last 100 years
Julian Gavaghan
17 July 2013
https://uk.news.yahoo.com/heatwave-uk--five-great-british-summers-over-the-last-100-years-120459808.html
Sizzling, sweltering or scorching – whichever way you describe it, this summer has already been a memorably hot one.
We are currently enjoying the longest spell of blazing sunshine for seven years after enduring a succession of washouts.
But what other historic heatwaves have stood the test of time to be remembered as truly Great British Summers? Below are our top five of the last century:
2003
The highest temperature ever recorded in Britain was set during the sizzling summer of 2003, when the 100-Fahrenheit mark was broken for the first and only time.
The mercury soared to 38.5C (101.3F) at Brogdale, near Faversham, Kent, on August 10, smashing the previous 1990 record of 37.1C (98.8F).
Across Europe, around 70,000 people are believed to have died during the worst heatwave on the continent for almost 500 years.
Britain luckily escaped the worst following a cool and wet two-week period at the end of July and beginning of August.
It led to the worst drought for 27 years and wilting crops led to a 12% shortfall in wheat, causing the price of bread to soar.
But most Britons were simply content to enjoy what was the first sustained heatwave in almost a decade with, notably, a mud-free Glastonbury festival for once.
1976
The hottest British summer on record was 1976, when for 25 straight days the temperature hit at least 26.7C (80F).
For 15 days during the spell, between June 22 and July 16, the mercury soared beyond 32.2C (90F) somewhere in England.
The temperature exceeded 35C (95F) for five blistering days of the heatwave, peaking at 35.9C (96.6F) on July 3 in Cheltenham.
It was perfect weather for women to wear the some of the decade’s notoriously skimpy outfits, although not so great for men with long hair and flairs.
But there were major downsides as Britain suffered its worst drought in history, with water being rationed in some places by standpipes in the streets.
Some areas went without rain from the start of the main heatwave until the last week of August.
1959
Prior to 1976, the most memorably hot summer had been in 1959.
Blue skies dominated the horizons for weeks with most places in southern England seeing temperatures above 21C (70F) for at least 100 days.
It was remembered as a gloriously long and comfortable summer – with only five days exceeding 30C (86f) - and few downpours to spoil picnics.
In fact, there was so little rain that the five months between May and September remain the driest on record and resulted in a drought.
A British Pathé newsreel captured the mood of the nation by reporting – with a degree of astonishment - the first downpour of the summer.
"That stuff, yes it’s called rain, something we used to have in England a long time ago," begins the commentary before showing footage of a parched landscape.
1949
The summer of 1949 – which was the hottest in 30 years – also saw one of the worst droughts on record.
A heatwave between mid-June and the end of July exacerbated the water shortages caused by an earlier dry winter.
In London, even nighttime temperatures did not drop below 24C (75C) during this period.
People took to sleeping in Hyde Park and other cool green spaces rather than sweating in their beds at home.
A British Pathe newsreel shows a host of parched landscapes and how Britons coped with water shortages.
Areas hit by drought included bone-dry Rivington Reservoir near Preston and the unnavigable Leeds-Liverpool Canal near Burnley, both in normally wet Lancashire.
Many in rural areas were left without any supply and water wagons – cars carrying the precious liquid in pails? – were filmed driving around offering it to houses.
And, in Derbyshire, a 100ft drop in levels at the Ladybower Reservoir brought to the surface the remains of the village of Derwent, which was flooded in 1943.

Stella Perrett: Party Of Women's Kellie-Jay Keen, candidate Kelly-Ann stand in Bristol Central
Kellie-Jay Keen is candidate in Bristol Central
By Martin Booth , Saturday Jun 8, 2024
https://www.bristol247.com/news-and-features/news/kellie-jay-keen-candidate-bristol-central/
Kellie-Jay Keen, also known as Posie Parker, has made an unexpected entry into the race to become Bristol Central’s first MP.
https://politicsthisweek.wordpress.com/2024/06/06/not-the-bcfm-politics-show-presented-by-tony-gosling-193/
Keen, who used to live in Cotham, founded the Let Women Speak movement and will be standing for the Party of Women at the general election on July 4.
Her website describes her as “unapologetic and unafraid” who “believes that language is the key weapon in the arsenal of those who wish to erase women”.
Keen has also been referred to as an anti-transgender rights campaigner, a far-right transphobic activist and a bigot.
Red Flag Australia says that protests need to be held against her because her “myriad links to racist, homophobic and sexist far-right figures and groups puts paid to the idea that there is something progressive about Parker’s supposed concerns for women”.
The Party of Women is a private company that was first registered in Bath in February with Keen, who has a correspondence address in Trowbridge in Wiltshire, named as its sole director.
All candidates who want to stand for election in Bristol need to hand in their nomination papers in the council’s electoral services office at the B bond warehouse on Spike Island, where Keen left it until the last day possible but was accepted as a candidate.
On Friday, the self-declared “women’s rights advocate” also tweeted a video saying that there were no women’s toilets in the building that also houses the Create Centre and Bristol Archives.
She also told her followers on X that she does not think “it’s remotely appropriate for councils to be flying rainbow flags or wearing rainbow lanyards whilst pretending to have no political bias during an election”.
The Let Women Speak website says that their campaign “is to focus specifically on the word woman and other female language that clearly defines women and our rights”.
In Bristol Central, Keen has entered a straight two-horse race between two women candidates: the incumbent Labour MP Thangam Debbonaire and Green Party co-leader Carla Denyer.
Speaking in a live video on Friday, Keen mentioned how former Bristol Green councillor Jude English had been suspended and “treated abysmally apparently because she doesn’t think women have penises”.
Of Debbonaire, Keen said: “You might not have really heard of Thangam but that’s because she doesn’t really say anything of any interest.”
In her video, Keen said that there is an “existential threat posed by transgenderism and men in women’s spaces which I find frankly intolerable”.
She added that “the disruption has begun”.
“And to women in Bristol, at least one politician in Bristol gives a crap whether or not you can have a female-only space. And I say one politician, because I simply don’t know any others.”
On the same day as Keen handed in her nomination papers in Bristol, a trans and intersex activist who doused her with tomato juice in New Zealand in 2023 pleaded guilty to two common assault charges.
At an event on College Green in 2022 of Keen’s group that was then called Standing For Women, dozens of counter-protesters disrupted what they called “a transphobic rally”.
Keen has said that there will be a Let Women Speak rally taking place in Bristol on July 2, two days before the general election.

Ukraine-Russia war latest: Vladimir Putin repeats warning he could send weapons to adversaries of the West
Speaking at the St Petersburg International Economic Forum, Vladimir Putin also says he does not see the conditions for the use of nuclear weapons as set out in Russia's nuclear doctrine - but adds he could not rule out a change to it.
Putin says he sees no threat warranting use of nuclear arms but warns Russia could arm Western foes

ST. PETERSBURG, Russia (AP) — President Vladimir Putin said Friday that he sees no current threat to Russia’s sovereignty that would warrant the use of nuclear weapons but again warned that Moscow could send arms to countries or groups to strike Western targets.
Speaking at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, Putin said use of nuclear weapons is only possible in “exceptional cases” and that he does not believe “such a case has arisen.” The Russian leader has repeatedly raised the specter of a nuclear attack since he sent troops into Ukraine in 2022.
On Friday, he repeated a warning made days earlier that Moscow “reserves the right” to arm Western adversaries as a response to some NATO allies allowing Ukraine to use their weapons to strike targets inside Russia.
“If they supply (weapons) to the combat zone and call for using these weapons against our territory, why don’t we have the right to do the same?” Putin asked.
“But I’m not ready to say that we will be doing it tomorrow, either,” Putin added, suggesting that it might affect global stability.
He didn’t specify where such arms might be sent. The U.S. has said that Russia has turned to North Korea and Iran to beef up its stock of relatively simple weapons, but Moscow could dip into its stock of high-tech missiles to share with adversaries of the West if Putin decides to fulfill his threat.
The United States and Germany recently authorized Ukraine to hit some targets on Russian soil with the long-range weapons they are supplying to Kyiv.
On Wednesday, a Western official and a U.S. senator said Ukraine has used American weapons to strike inside Russia under newly approved guidance from President Joe Biden that allows American arms to be used to defend Kharkiv, Ukraine’s second-largest city. The official, who was not authorized to comment publicly on the sensitive matter, spoke on condition of anonymity.
Putin also said he sees no need for a new round of mobilization to beef up Russia’s forces in Ukraine because, he said, “people come voluntarily and go to the front lines to defend the Motherland.”
Russia mobilized 300,000 reservists in the fall of 2022 amid a series of military setbacks in Ukraine, an unpopular move that prompted hundreds of thousands to flee the country to avoid being drafted.
Putin made the comments during a question and answer session with a pro-Kremlin moderator at the forum, which has been used by Russia for decades as a showcase for touting the country’s development and to woo investors.
Earlier in a speech, he said the Russian economy is growing despite international sanctions and said Moscow has increasing economic ties with countries in Africa, the Middle East and Asia.
Putin said Russia “remains one of the key participants in world trade,” despite the sweeping sanctions, imposed for sending troops into Ukraine, that cut off much of Russia’s trade with Western Europe, the U.S. and their allies.

Gods Will? Tim Cohen Christian Zionist Tony Gosling Christian Socialist Israel Gaza land grab debate
Gods Will - Tim Cohen Christian Zionist view of Israel Gaza land-grab NTBCFMPS 24May24#

Tim Cohen, author of 'The Anti Christ and a Cup of Tea', joins Tony and Martin. As a Christian Zionist he thinks Jews have a right to the Promised Land. He thinks Israel has been behaving Ok in Gaza, and it's God's wish. He thinks this is all part of God's plan. Gaza's Philistines, Edomites, Canaanites et al. are NOT innocent, as THEY have empowered Hamas and other terrorist factions, allowing them to remain. The whole Promised Land, including all Gaza, belong to ISRAEL, and shortly (years from now) The God of Israel and Christians will END Islam and all other false religions globally, and all Israel will turn to God through Christ Jesus, so that Israel's survivors are then saved. (Two-thirds of Israel in Judaea will first die.) The surviving "Palestinians" who are then in Israel's midst, whom The LORD allows to live in Israel's (full) land, who also shall then be newly born-again Christians, will be Israel's SERVANTS AND SLAVES until their natural deaths, though children born to them following coming judgments, will be like native Israelites in the Promised Land, with all the same rights, etc.
Scottish Chief Executive MAP, Melanie Ward, aid worker in Gaza on LBC, is witness to how terrible it is in there. 22 charities welcome ICJ order to halt Israel’s military offensive in Rafah, urge UK to uphold its measures “As an aid worker in Gaza the current situation is deeply distressing. The feeling of helplessness and frustration is overwhelming. Our primary mission is to help those in need, but with the borders closed and no aid coming in, our hands are tied. We are acutely aware of the worsening conditions and the urgent needs of people, and it is heartbreaking to witness their suffering without being able to provide the necessary support.” On 24 May 2024, the International Court of Justice (ICJ) ordered additional provisional measures regarding Israel’s alleged violations in Gaza of obligations under the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide. The court ordered that, in light of the worsening conditions in Rafah, Israel must immediately halt its military offensive, and any other action in the Rafah governorate, which may subject the Palestinian population in Gaza to conditions of life that may lead to their physical destruction, in whole or in part. The court described the conditions in Rafah as ‘disastrous’ and is ‘not convinced that the evacuation efforts and related measures that Israel affirms to have undertaken to enhance the security of civilians in the Gaza Strip, and in particular those recently displaced from the Rafah Governorate, are sufficient to alleviate the immense risk to which the Palestinian population is exposed as a result of the military offensive in Rafah.’ The ICJ reaffirmed provisional measures indicated in its orders of 26 January 2024, and 28 March 2024, applicable throughout Gaza, including Rafah, and called for their immediate and effective implementation. This includes the unhindered provision at scale of urgently needed basic services and humanitarian assistance, and the maintained opening of land crossing points, particularly the Rafah crossing. The Court also ordered Israel to allow unhindered access for any commission of inquiry, fact-finding initiatives or other UN bodies to investigate allegations of genocide. It also reiterated calls for the immediate and unconditional release of all hostages. Israel is required to submit a report one month from today, outlining all measures taken to comply with these orders.
President Raeisi of Iran is killed in a helicopter crash - but is this foul play? Some insight from Times of India about yesterday's Iran president 'crash' - fact there was no distress call, if true, points to foul play, these choppers are known to be reliable beasts and have a ceiling of 18,000ft which should put them above bad weather and cloud. Also if engine fails or similar, they can autorotate and come down reasonably slowly giving plenty of time for distress calls... Is anyone in Israel saying 'God killed Iran's president'? I bet they're all thinking it and this spiritual aspect is IMO a major motive for the West to deal emotional psyop blows by bumping off 'enemy leaders'. And capitalising on it at home... Ie 'God is with us'. Even though Mossad MI6 and the CIA are, in fact 'god' carrying out heaps of covert actions. Welcome to 'the summer of hate'....?

IAEA's Grossi fiddling while Gaza, Ukraine & Taiwan burn under Israel NATO US nuclear weapon threats
The West Has Placed the Survival of the World in the Hands of Three Artificial States
https://www.paulcraigroberts.org/2024/05/30/the-west-has-placed-the-survival-of-the-world-in-the-hands-of-three-artificial-states/

All of the trouble in the world revolves around three artificial states: Ukraine, Taiwan, and Israel.
https://politicsthisweek.wordpress.com/2024/05/30/not-the-bcfm-politics-show-presented-by-tony-gosling-192/
Ukraine was part of Russia for longer than the United States has existed. It was first created as an independent country in the early 1990s by Washington following the Soviet government’s collapse and replacement of the Communist Party rule’s with Yeltsin’s, a puppet of Washington. Ukraine is thus an artificial country merely 30 years old, having never previously existed as an independent country.
Taiwan is a small island off the China coast, a part of China inhabited by Chinese people. Washington tried to pretend that a small island was China and had Taiwan setting on the UN Security Council. But President Nixon knew better. He supported the removal of Taiwan and its replacement with the Chinese mainland. Nixon originated the one-China policy that was US policy until the Biden Regime.
Israel was a creation of the stupid and corrupt British government, or perhaps more correctly of the fanatic Zionists who drove countless undefended Palestinians from their towns and villages. Generations of Palestinians have been born in refuge camps located in Jordan and Lebanon.
The genocide of Palestine as a people and a country has been ongoing since 1947, and nothing has been done about it. Israel has gotten away with it by using the Holocaust card to gain sympathy for its victim status and by paying Western politicians with campaign contributions to support its agenda.
Now consider the fact that these three totally artificial countries totally lacking in any reality are each capable of unleashing nuclear Armageddon. Ukraine can do it by continuing to use Western-supplied long range missiles to attack Russia’s early warning system.
Taiwan can do it by accepting occupation by US soldiers and more shipments of US missiles.
Israel can do it by getting the bought-and-paid-for-Biden regime to OK Israel’s attack on Iran.
The question I now propose to you is: If in fact the US is a superpower, and if the West as a whole constitutes a mega-super power, how it is possible for three artificial states to have control of the West’s future?

War, AI and more war: the 2024 Bilderberg agenda is sure to set off alarm bells
The secretive annual summit has tried to counter its arcane reputation, but its guest list still reads like a conspiracist’s who’s who of who rules the world
https://www.theguardian.com/world/article/2024/jun/01/bilderberg-meeting-spain
Charlie Skelton in Madrid Sat 1 Jun 2024 11.00 BST
This year the Bilderberg summit, now under way in Madrid, turned 70 years old. But the controversial and secretive gathering of the world’s elites shows no signs of slowing down.
For decades the Bilderberg meeting, where the rich and the powerful gather behind closed doors to talk about what ails the world, has been the subject – understandably – of conspiracy theories. In recent years, Bilderberg has sought to remake itself and open up a little: more Davos than Illuminati.
But it still raises hackles from many observers. Its beady eyes, twinkling with billionaires, are this year fixed firmly on the future. Specifically, the “future of warfare”. And with conflicts raging from Sudan to Ukraine to Gaza, it feels like it is the spirit of the age.
This grim subject is being thrashed out under the hum of police drones hovering over the hotel, making sure such luminaries as the king of the Netherlands and the head of Nato are safe inside. Even by Bilderberg standards, the security at this year’s conference is intense, but it managed to gear up even more when the Spanish king’s entourage swept into the venue past a traffic jam of police vans.
The heightened security is perhaps a reflection of the threats and “challenges” packed into the conference agenda: Russia, China, the Middle East, the climate – while the session on Ukraine, titled Ukraine and the World, has a worrying hint of a wider world war. And when the topic of the Changing Faces of Biology is being discussed by the CEO of Pfizer, the head of the EU Centre for Disease Prevention and Control, and the man who led the Human Genome Project, you can almost hear the alarm bells over the police sirens.
The world of Bilderberg in 2024 throbs with threats; it’s what conference participant Alexander Stubb, the president of Finland, recently described as “the weaponisation of everything”. It’s a world of “hybrid attacks” driven by disruptive technologies such as artificial intelligence. There’s even a session on AI safety at this year’s gathering, one of two sessions devoted to AI, securing its place at the head of Bilderberg’s agenda.
The conference hall is heaving with tech luminaries, including the heads of Google DeepMind, Microsoft AI, Mistral AI and Anthropic, making the event a high-level AI summit in its own right.
Many of these AI chiefs are tech optimists; Demis Hassabis, the CEO of Google DeepMind, recently raved about AI “spreading consciousness to the stars”. But the contingent of US national security officials, who have flowed in from Washington for these talks, tend to take a more worldly and weaponised view of the subject. They’re led by the deputy national security adviser, Jonathan Finer, and Jen Easterly, the director of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency. They are joined by one of the US’s most senior soldiers, the supreme allied commander Europe, Christopher Cavoli, who warned recently that the conflict with Russia was shaping up to be a “long fight”. So the immediate future of war sounds like it’ll be more war....

UK: Five ministers included in Gaza war crimes complaint submitted to police

A 60-page complaint by legal advocacy group ICJP accuses Israel of using 'starvation as a weapon of war’ and 'wilfully causing great suffering'
https://www.middleeasteye.net/news/uk-five-ministers-named-gaza-war-crimes-complaint-submitted-police
The International Centre for Justice for Palestinians (ICJP) submitted a new complaint to British police on Wednesday, accusing Israel of using "starvation as a weapon of war" and "wilfully causing great suffering to a civilian population".
Echoing the reasoning laid out by International Criminal Court prosecutor Karim Khan on Monday, the London-based advocacy group highlighted that both accusations were criminal offences under British and international law.
The filings by the ICJP this week follow an earlier complaint in January against senior UK politicians, including ministers, alleging their complicity in war crimes committed by Israel in the Gaza Strip.
Four senior ministers were included in that complaint and the new accusations include the addition of another, totalling five.
The organisation says that Wednesday's complaint is one of the most comprehensive submitted to Scotland Yard, the headquarters of the Metropolitan police, regarding Israel's military campaign in Gaza.
At 60 pages long, it also contains an 800-page annex containing evidence including expert reports, eyewitness testimonies and reports by medical staff who have worked in Gaza.
The complaint was compiled by the ICJP teams, which include former British police officers who were collecting evidence to UK police standards.
Scotland Yard's War Crimes Investigation Team will now consider the evidence contained within the complaint.
"We intend to ensure that allegations of war crimes against suspected Israeli war criminals and those who enable them are prosecuted, whether that be at the ICC, in the UK or across the globe," said ICJP director Tayab Ali.
"We will ensure that there will be no place for suspected war criminals to hide, especially not the UK."
On Monday, ICC prosecutors announced their application for arrest warrants against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defence Minister Yoav Gallant, as well as three leaders of Hamas.
Britain's Deputy Foreign Secretary Andrew Mitchell accused the ICC of making "unworthy and ludicrous" comparisons by issuing arrest warrants for Hamas and Israeli leaders together.
"We do not believe the ICC prosecutor seeking warrants will help with a ceasefire. As we have said from the outset, we do not think the ICC has jurisdiction in this case."
Israel's war on Gaza has drawn widespread condemnation and is the subject of an ongoing genocide case at the International Court of Justice.
More than 35,000 Palestinians have been killed since October, the vast majority of them women and children.

Michael Gove MP smears pro-Palestine academics David Miller, Mahvish Ahmad in 'antisemitism' speech
some of those advancing these ideas have subsequently celebrated the most terrible actions. There were actually voices in academia who described the pogrom of October 7th as de-colonisation in action.
Mahvish Ahmad, assistant professor in human rights and politics at the London School of Economics responded to the Hamas massacre by saying that decolonisation ‘is not a metaphor’. And an associate professor at McMaster University in Canada, Ameil J Joseph, occupied the same intellectual terrain. ‘Post-colonial, anti-colonial and decolonial are not just words you heard in your EDI [equality, diversity and inclusion] workshop’, he tweeted.

Michael Gove, the housing secretary, will today accuse organisers of pro-Palestinian marches of not doing enough to stop some demonstrators spreading anti-Jewish rhetoric.

Speech by Rt Hon Michael Gove MP, Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities. Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities and The Rt Hon Michael Gove 21 May 2024 So far right figures – like Nick Griffin, formerly of the BNP, Mark Collett of an organisation called Patriotic Alternative, Jayda Fransen of Britain First, and Jim Dowson, a transatlantic hate preacher – have been invited to share space with Islamist advocates and broadcast from Islamist platforms, where the common focus of concern is Jewish influence, the Jewish state, the Jewish threat. And on the extreme Left, academics such as Professor David Miller and groups such as the Socialist Workers’ Party, the Socialist Party and the Revolutionary Communist Party jostle to share platforms with Islamist groupings, deploy aggressive language about “Zionists”, support calls for intifada and praising te the resistance - a synonym for Hamas - in terms that Jewish students say cause them physical fear. And extreme Islamist groups then weaponise this growing antisemitism to divide Muslim from Muslim. Islamists have demanded that mosques become no-go zones for “Zionists”, that inter-faith dialogue exclude any Jewish voice sympathetic to Israel’s existence, and that believers show that they are truly faithful by demonstrating their commitment in the fight against Israel. By making ardour against Israel and hostility to Jewish voices the litmus test of how good a Muslim you are, Islamists polarise and divide our Muslim communities. That is why none of us can afford to be indifferent to the increasing prevalence of antisemitism in our society. There is a reason television series about the 1930s are called “A Lesson from History”. A growth in antisemitism is both a precursor of greater hate and an enabler of further extremism. Antisemitic tropes which encourage people to think criticism of Israel is muted or censored by Jewish control of the media feed into greater distrust of the “MSM”. That leads to a greater willingness to believe in conspiracy theories and a stronger propensity to seek out “alternative” truth tellers - whether on incel message boards, anti-vax YouTube channels, far-right Telegram groups or Islamist podcasts. And thus,The common ground on which our democracy depends is eroded.

It’s just sad that Henry Kissinger isn’t here to enjoy it. The elder statesman of Bilderberg died in November at the age of 100.
Certainly the world’s military – and the industries that surround it – take Bilderberg seriously. Gen Cavoli is taking time out from leading a “wholesale modernization” of Nato’s defence capabilities to attend the Madrid conference. His boss at Nato, Jens Stoltenberg, is attending his last Bilderberg as secretary general. His successor is hotly tipped to be Mark Rutte, the outgoing Dutch prime minister. Rutte is a Bilderberg regular, and doubtless the group will be delighted, though perhaps not surprised, if yet another of their charmed circle lands a top job.
The other prime minister here in Madrid is Estonia’s Kaja Kallas, who said recently that “openness is our greatest weapon” in free societies. “At its core,” she said, “openness represents getting rid of barriers that hinder the flow of information.”
Sadly, we won’t know if she talks at Bilderberg about openness, because of all the barriers hindering the flow of information. We do know that Kallas believes that on the battlefield, “Ukraine has out-innovated Russia, fielding entirely new weapons systems” – some of which will have been developed by the tech companies at this year’s conference.
Time magazine has dubbed Ukraine “an AI war lab”, and the Economist agrees.....

Map Shows Ukraine's Record-Breaking Hits on Russian Nuclear Warning Sites
https://www.newsweek.com/map-ukraine-record-breaking-hits-russian-nuclear-warning-radar-1905221
Ukraine May Have Just Crossed Putin's Nuclear Red Line
By David Brennan Diplomatic Correspondent
Russia's nuclear ballistic missile early warning radar network has emerged as a key target of long-range Ukrainian strikes, with three facilities having now been attacked by Kyiv's drones in the past two months.
Two such strikes occurred in the past week. First, a drone hit a "Voronezh-DM" radar at the Armavir Radar Station in the southern Krasnodar region on May 22. The site is home to two Voronezh-DM radars with a range of around 6,000 kilometers (3,730 miles).
The attack appeared to have damaged a building housing one of the radars, RFE/RL's Russian Service reported. The site is more than 300 miles from the closest territory currently under Kyiv's control.
The Armavir attack was quickly followed by a more ambitious strike. On May 26, a Ukrainian drone traveled some 930 miles from Kyiv-controlled territory to target a Voronezh-M radar near the city of Orsk, in the Orenburg region close to the border with Kazakhstan.
The extent of any damage at the site in Orsk is as yet unclear. But the attack may represent the longest-range Ukrainian drone strike to date, the list of targets steadily growing as Kyiv prioritizes Russia's long-range radar and oil-producing facilities.
The Kyiv Independent cited an anonymous military intelligence source as saying the drone used in Sunday's attack flew 1,118 miles; further than the 930 miles claimed in a recent strike on an oil processing plant in Russia's Bashkiria region.
Reuters cited an unnamed Ukrainian intelligence source who confirmed the dual drone strikes. Asked why Russia's long-range radars were being targeted, the source replied: "They monitor the actions of the Ukrainian security and defense forces in the south of Ukraine."
Newsweek has contacted the Russian Defense Ministry by email to request comment.
Ukraine began its nascent campaign against Russia's early warning radar network in April, with successive drone strikes on the 590th separate radio engineering center of military unit 84680 in the city of Kovylkino, in the Mordovia Republic around 360 miles from the Ukrainian border.
The site is home to a 29B6 "Container" over-the-horizon radar, which forms part of Russia's reconnaissance and early-warning network for aerospace attacks, including those by ballistic missiles. Voronezh-M radar sites like those targeted in Armavir and Orsk are also used for this purpose.

Russia has at least five other radar sites hosting Voronezh-M systems. Two are located in the west of the country, at the Lekhtusi Radar Station close to St. Petersburg and at the Pionersky Radar Station in the Kaliningrad exclave.
Three are spread across Siberia, at the Mishelevka Radar Station near the city of Irkutsk, at a site close to the city of Yeniseysk in Krasnoyarsk Krai region, and near the Altai Krai region's city of Barnaul.
Additional Voronezh-M radar stations are planned for construction close to the city of Sevastopol in occupied Crimea, near the Arctic Circle city of Olenogorsk in Murmansk region, and near the city of Vorkuta in the northern Komi Republic, also in the Arctic region.

Right time for taxes on wealth
https://politicsthisweek.wordpress.com/2024/05/30/not-the-bcfm-politics-show-presented-by-tony-gosling-192/
https://www.taxjustice.uk/blog/right-time-for-taxes-on-wealth
Forbes has released its annual ‘Billionaire List’. It shows that there are more billionaires than ever before, and they have increased their wealth to record levels.
The Forbes wealth editor stated that ‘It’s been an amazing year for the world’s richest people’.
This comes at a time of massive global instability, staggering inequality and an urgent need to combat climate and environmental breakdown.
According to Forbes, there are 55 billionaires in the UK.
Showcasing the massive intergenerational transfer of wealth, every single billionaire under the age of 30 - of which there are 15 - inherited their riches.
Just one billion is a staggering amount of money.
In fact, if a teacher on the average salary saved every single penny they earned, it would take over 30,000 years to become a billionaire.
Raising revenue
The level of wealth on display also highlights how much revenue would be raised by introducing wealth taxes.
Our work on just six taxes on wealth shows that up to £50 billion a year could be raised and go straight into public services.
That’s money to pay for nurses, doctors and dentists and resuscitate Britain’s ailing health service.
As Tax Justice UK Executive Director, Robert Palmer, said on Twitter, world leaders need to ensure the super-rich pay their fair share. You can share his response here.
Making the right case
You may be surprised to see, but taxes on wealth do have popularity across the political spectrum.
In a recently published collection of essays for the centre-right think tank, Bright Blue, Conservative MP John Penrose makes just this case.
While we may not agree on all points, Penrose argues that rebalancing our tax system from work to wealth would be better.
He argues that Britain taxes income in a ‘thoroughly regressive way by systematically giving a better deal to the rich at the expense of the poor’.
Taxing wealth at the same rate of work would be a popular proposition.
The Fairness Foundation recently commissioned public opinion polling that showed two in three people (65%) support reforming capital gains tax so that income from wealth is taxed either at the same rate or at a higher rate than income from work.
Bright Blue also published a report in 2022 proposing that wealth should be taxed at higher levels, offset by a reduction in taxes on work.
The think tank argued that wealth should be taxed at higher levels to respond to rising accumulation of wealth, and the role of inheritances in determining life outcomes.

Bilderberg 2024 Tony Gosling Patrick Henningsen TNT Palantir Ukraine Nuclear War By Remote Control?
Bilderbergers lead EU, NATO, IMF and UN

Prague (OTS) - Since 2019, EU, NATO, IMF, and UN have been chaired by people who attended confidential Bilderberg conference(s) prior to their appointment. Bilderbergers also occupy other top positions like the heads of the European Council, European Central Bank and Eurogroup. French president Macron is Bilderberger and the day after his inauguration, Bilderberger Philippe became Prime Minister. Macron's candidate, Bilderberger Georgieva, leads IMF thanks to change of selection rules. These indicia of elite cronyism are summarized in new peer-reviewed study.
Bilderberg will soon hold another conference. At the meeting in 2016, member of Bilderberg's steering committee Barroso lobbied for Georgieva's nomination to the post of UN Secretary General. Eventually, this position was won by Bilderberger Guterres. During his mandate, two Bilderbergers (Moratinos and Hennis-Plasschaert) became UN representatives.
In 2019, Georgieva was appointed the director of IMF. She did not meet the criteria for this job, but the rules were sidestepped or changed. The decisive factor was Georgieva's backing from Macron.
In EU, Bilderbergers occupy the posts of president of the European Commission (von der Leyen), member of the European Commission (Urpilainen, Vestager), president of ECB (Lagarde), president of Eurogroup (Donohoe), president of the European Council (Michel). „Von der Leyen and Michel attended the same Bilderberg conference in 2015 and in 2019 they both gained highest positions in EU,“ the study emphasizes.
NATO is also striking. „All post-Cold War general secretaries of NATO participated at some Bilderberg conference prior to their appointment (…) Both Wörner and Solana had Bilderberg première in 1985,“ the study highlights.
Macron attended Bilderberg conclave in May-June 2014. Already in August 2014, under Prime Minister Bilderberger Valls, Macron was chosen to lead key ministry of economy. And after Macron reached presidency in 2017, Bilderberger Philippe became Prime Minister. „Philippe attended Bilderberg conference in 2016, at that time as mere mayor,“ the study stresses.
Other Bilderbergers received top positions at World Bank (Wolfensohn, Wolfowitz, Melkert, Zoellick, Heemskerk) and WTO (Ruggiero, Lamy).
The then member of Bilderberg's steering committee Jordan secured invitation to Bilderberg conference in 1991 for Clinton and introduced him as „the next President of the United States”. Also due to Jordan's help, Clinton really became US president in 1993. In 1995, as Jordan wanted, Clinton installed Wolfensohn into World Bank.

Despite immediately facing outrage from the international community for killing dozens of displaced Palestinians in an attack that set a tent camp in Rafah, Gaza, ablaze, Israel is continuing its deadly military offensive that is destroying so-called safe zones that are housing people with nowhere else to go.
Israeli forces bombed a displacement camp in Tal al-Sultan on Sunday night, engulfing the tents sheltering Palestinians in flames. Gruesome footage showed charred corpses, people burned alive and children’s bodies torn apart. The Israeli attack killed at least 45 people and wounded hundreds more, and it resulted in condemnation and expressions of horror from many in the international community.
Despite the Israel Defense Forces claiming the attack was precision-based, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that the bombing was a “tragic mistake.” But less than 48 hours later, Israel bombed another makeshift tent camp in a designated civilian evacuation zone.
Gaza emergency officials said that Israeli forces attacked a cluster of tents in Al-Mawasi, an overcrowded coastal strip with no infrastructure that Israel had ordered refugees in Rafah to move to for safety. The shelling killed at least 21 people, more than half of them women and girls, according to the Gaza Health Ministry.

“People are shocked, people cannot talk, people found theirselves gathering the remains of human bodies, of their beloved ones,” freelance journalist Bisan Owda said in an Instagram video on Tuesday, speaking over the sound of aircraft.
“So, I just cannot describe anything because I’m afraid of looking under my feet because people are still collecting human pieces,” she said before showing one of the blood-spattered tents. “See the blood? See the blood and the shrapnels here and there ― all these shrapnels, the holes in the blanket, killed people inside.”
The IDF denied on social media that it attacked the humanitarian area in Al-Mawasi. But Palestinian journalists on the ground in Gaza refuted the military’s claims.
“I went back just now to the last leaflet that Israelis dropped on Rafah, and a place that was targeted right now was Block 2360,” Al Jazeera correspondent Hind Khoudary said Tuesday, referring to the leaflets the IDF airdropped earlier this year to order Palestinians to evacuate Rafah.
“In this leaflet, the Israeli forces mentioned that they’re calling people to evacuate to all the humanitarian areas – to Deir al-Balah, to Khan Younis and Al-Mawasi area ― and one of these areas that was mentioned is Block 2360, which has been targeted right now,” Khoudary said. “So yes, this place was designated as safe, this place was designated as a humanitarian area, according to the last leaflet that was dropped by the Israeli forces on people in Rafah.”...

“As an aid worker in Gaza the current situation is deeply distressing. The feeling of helplessness and frustration is overwhelming. Our primary mission is to help those in need, but with the borders closed and no aid coming in, our hands are tied. We are acutely aware of the worsening conditions and the urgent needs of people, and it is heartbreaking to witness their suffering without being able to provide the necessary support.”

On 24 May 2024, the International Court of Justice (ICJ) ordered additional provisional measures regarding Israel’s alleged violations in Gaza of obligations under the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide. The court ordered that, in light of the worsening conditions in Rafah, Israel must immediately halt its military offensive, and any other action in the Rafah governorate, which may subject the Palestinian population in Gaza to conditions of life that may lead to their physical destruction, in whole or in part. The court described the conditions in Rafah as ‘disastrous’ and is ‘not convinced that the evacuation efforts and related measures that Israel affirms to have undertaken to enhance the security of civilians in the Gaza Strip, and in particular those recently displaced from the Rafah Governorate, are sufficient to alleviate the immense risk to which the Palestinian population is exposed as a result of the military offensive in Rafah.’
The ICJ reaffirmed provisional measures indicated in its orders of 26 January 2024, and 28 March 2024, applicable throughout Gaza, including Rafah, and called for their immediate and effective implementation.
The UK must unreservedly accept the findings and orders of the Court. As a signatory to the Genocide Convention and the UN Charter, the UK must ensure that the Court's decisions are respected and enacted, by way of public statements and concrete policy actions. Failure to do so not only risks further loss of civilian lives, it also risks unravelling the very foundations of the international rules-based system and international justice. The application of justice and accountability for international crimes can never be selective. Inconsistency enables impunity. The situation in Gaza has deteriorated significantly, despite the ICJ’s 26 January order that Israeli authorities must prevent and punish acts of genocide. Since 8 October, at least 35,000 Palestinians have been killed, with thousands left under the rubble, and nearly 80,000 have been injured. The population is being starved, with mass destruction of civilian infrastructure and little access to clean water, sanitation and healthcare under Israel’s continued indiscriminate bombardment and deliberate and systematic deprivation of aid in Gaza.
The UK must now do everything in its power to ensure that Israel complies with its obligations under international law, including in respect of all of the measures ordered by the ICJ. The Israeli government has already failed to comply with the ICJ’s orders, and the UK must urgently use every available lever to ensure its compliance, urgently halt Israel’s assault on Rafah, and demand an immediate and lasting ceasefire. This includes suspending arms transfers to Israel for as long as there is a risk they may be used to violate international law. The UK must uphold its signatory obligations under the convention to prevent and punish the crime of genocide, and must ensure that it is in no way enabling, or otherwise complicit, in the commission of acts that the Court has found could plausibly be in violation of the Genocide Convention...

UK: Five ministers included in Gaza war crimes complaint submitted to police

A 60-page complaint by legal advocacy group ICJP accuses Israel of using 'starvation as a weapon of war’ and 'wilfully causing great suffering'
https://www.middleeasteye.net/news/uk-five-ministers-named-gaza-war-crimes-complaint-submitted-police
The International Centre for Justice for Palestinians(ICJP) submitted a new complaint to Britishpolice on Wednesday, accusing Israel of using "starvation as a weapon of war" and "wilfully causing great suffering to a civilian population".

Against Landlords:How to Solve the Housing Crisis
https://politicsthisweek.wordpress.com/2024/05/23/not-the-bcfm-politics-show-presented-by-tony-gosling-191/
by Nick Bano / 240 pages / March 2024 / 9781804293874

When landlords always win and renters pay the price, what can be done?
Housing means prosperity and security for some; poverty, precarity and sickness for others. More people live in private rented accommodation than ever before, and rents rise without apparent reason. Homes are smaller every year, and nearly 20 per cent of tenants live in hazardous conditions. Homelessness is at a new high. Yet the government’s only solution is to promote homeownership.
Against Landlords shows that this crisis is not the product of happenstance or political incompetence. Government policy has intentionally split British citizens into homeowners and renters, two classes set on very different financial paths. In the UK, one out of every twenty-one adults is a landlord, and it is this group, and those who aspire to join it, represented by the political class.
In his radical new interpretation of the housing crisis, lawyer Nick Bano explains how this environment set the conditions for the Grenfell Tower fire and how it means a life of anxiety for the nation’s renters. It is a problem that stretches far beyond London and one inherently racist in nature.
Building more housing is not the solution. It is firstly a problem of the law, Bano argues, and reforms must sweep away the landlordism at the heart of the housing crisis and British political life.
