My amazing and beautiful granddaughter Maple visited us on Sunday and we all hung out together. I love being a grandfather. So proud of my children and now grandchildren. God has been doubly good to me. :)

My son and I restored a freshly painted but pretty much gutted 1959 Morris Minor 2 door sedan over several years. I sold it to a gentleman by the name of Harry from Murray Bridge in South Australia for a lot less than it was worth, but that's ok... father-son bonding and the exchange of knowledge is worth much more than the price of a mere car. Cutting a pine kangaroo character on a Ryobi Scroll Saw for the Noah's Ark Playset - Sped up 8x

This is a picture slideshow of the third, and to date largest Noah's Ark playset teaching tool I have built from particleboard and radiata pine making it easy to work with and relatively lightweight. My two beautiful granddaughters were the recipients of the first two. It is very labor-intensive to build, particularly the animals and the crew which are all [slowly] cut on a scroll saw (the nature of the scroll saw)... but when you're doing it for those you love it is no sacrifice at all - it literally is a labor of love. This one includes a scroll printed on A5 paper from an HP printer I purchased from Office Works for $18. It contains the biblical story of the great flood and Noah's ark described in Genesis 6-9 written with children in mind, along with other teaching aids built into the ark itself. It measures 700mm in length x 260mm wide and 280mm high. Hope it inspires you to build one for those you love. Blessings.
