We've had some nice weather this year! I decided danger of frost is well past so its time to start planting!

Our potatoes did way better this year than last. We probably could've waited another week or so and got even more but we got a pretty good harvest.

I got a fertilizer injector that works on my drip! I feel like this will be a game changer. It will save time, backs, and make fertilizing more consistent. Here's the EZ-FLO injector I got: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07CSC11Z6?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details

Finally figured out the irrigation, I ended up using the copper emitter tubing. Much easier for my application and level of experience. Still needs a few finishing touches but its all working!

Here is what I filled the beds with, from dirt to plants. I also go over how the rest of the garden is shaping up.

Sorry, still behind on uploading but we finally got two of our raised beds built and they are awesome! We had access to some old decking boards from when my parents rebuilt their deck. So we used 4 - 8x6, 4 - 4x6, and 4 - 1 ft pieces of landscape timbers for each bed.

Getting the okra, eggplant in the ground. I also go over my plans for fixing what I consider to be an irrigation fail. Yes, I'm behind on uploads. I have 3 videos still to edit and upload. Sorry, been a busy few weeks.

So, this is the first attempt at installing drip irrigation. This video is 3 weeks late because I've been going back and forth about how I want to proceed here. Being inexperienced, I wasn't sure what I needed to complete the job...so I don't complete it and actuallly change direction some in later videos.

I got some help so we planted the peppers. We also decided to put our beans and cucumber seeds in the ground. We also take a small garden tour.

Got the holes burned in the fabric and got the tomatoes in the ground! I'm hopeful this year will be a great tomato harvest! I got some plastic corrugated boxes from work and decided to use those for planter boxes. Broke people do what they have to do!

Not really much to share yet, just wanted to add something. I decided to use last year's brassica bed for this year's potatoes.

Just a look at how the garden is doing this late in August. Truth is, it looks awful. We've tried various sprays and never could get a hold on it.

I'm uploading this super late. This was from 6/13/22. I started a new job and have been so busy. ~Just starting some Marigolds, planting some annuals and a grapevine.

I had some old drawers from a platform bed, an ugly air conditioner, and a dream. Okay, so not so dramatic. Definitely not very cute. But I had some orphan plants after the garden was in and they needed a home. It may only last a year but I wanted it anyway. :)

My seeds from MIGardener.com came in the mail!

Nothing fancy, just putting some seeds in cups and looking at the garden.
