Python 6” Barrel Length, 6 Shooter 357 and 38 Special. A friend of mine let me film his Colt Python 6” and it’s little brother the Python 4” (the next video). This is an excellent gun. To quote Farris Bueller, “It is so choice. If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up.” This could be a Home Defense and Fun Range/Collectors Gun Concealability: Absolutely None!!! Grip Ergonomics: Good for Medium Hands Ammo and Reliability: Excellent, like most Revolvers. This Gun was a last-minute addition. I could only get 38 Special. With .357 Magnum, it is a bit of a hand cannon. With 38 Special it is a smooth shooter! TRG Recommends -Yes! An Excellent Addition to any Collection. The Glock 43X, chambered in 9mm with a 10+1 capacity is an excellent gun. Recommended Uses: TRG believes this gun is one of the best everyday carry and personal defense guns on the market . As a Concealed Carry Gun: Small frame person can easily conceal this gun. Also perfect for purses and small bags or packs. Grip Ergonomics: Comfortable in small to medium hands. Reliability: Excellent with both Target and Defensive Ammo. Glocks are known to tolerate most ammunition. Recoil: TRG rates this gun as a medium recoil gun. However, do not let this dissuade you from trying it out. The recoil is very manageable. Personal Note on Recoil Rating: I had a hard time rating the recoil at medium. I believe the recoil is less but this gun is a personal favorite so a gave the benefit of the doubt to a higher recoil rating. TRG Overall Opinion: TRG’s opinion, this is Glock’s best entry into the subcompact/micro9 field. The shot barrel length can make this gun hard to group at longer range. This can be remedied with practice and training. Glock also has numerous upgrade options. The 43X shot in this video was outfitted with a flat trigger, extended takedown lever, night sights, and a tungsten guide rod. Be sure to check out Shield Arms for their metal 15 round 43X Mags! Sig Sauer 226, chambered in 9mm with a 15+1 capacity is an outstanding and versatile gun. Recommended Uses: TRG believes this gun is best for home or personal defense. All Sig 226s are great range guns and the Legion Series is a must for collectors and gun enthusiasts. As a Concealed Carry Gun: TGR does not recommend the 226 as a concealed carry gun for most people. The 226 frame was designed as a duty but due to its size and weight TRG recommends an outside the waist band or traditional hip holster. Medium and large frames can conceal this gun but, again, TRG would not recommend it for your everyday carry. The 226 is perfect for purses, small bags or packs, or as a travel gun for protection on road trips. Grip Ergonomics: Comfortable in medium or large hands. Smaller hands can still effectively operate the 226 but will require practice to reach some controls like the decocking mechanism. Reliability: Sig is an industry leader and known for reliability. Excellent with both Target and Defensive Ammo. Recoil: TRG rates this gun as 3 out of 10. The 226 is smooth and pleasant to shoot. TRG Overall Opinion: All Sig Sauer metal frame single action - double action pistols are phenomenal. The 226 line (including the legion series) is no exception. More experienced shooters may notice a difference in trigger pull and reset between the standard 226s and the more upgraded versions. The standard Sig triggers are sometimes referred to as spongy. Glock 23 The Glock 23, chambered in 40 S& with a 13+1 capacity is an excellent gun. Recommended Uses: Designed as a duty gun, TRG believes this gun is best for everyday carry and home or personal defense. As a Concealed Carry Gun: Medium and large frames can easily conceal this gun. Also perfect for purses and small bags or packs. Grip Ergonomics: Comfortable in medium or large hands. Reliability: Excellent with both Target and Defensive Ammo. Glocks are known to tolerate most ammunition. Recoil: TRG rates this gun as 6 out of 10. It is snappy, but not unpleasant to shoot. TRG Overall Opinion: Glock ergonomics and reliability in 40 S&W. A great gun but TRG makes a cautious recommendation for first-time buyers. 40 S&W is a great defensive round. It is a bit snappy and can be hard to control. 40 S&W is more expensive than 9mm, training with 40 S&W will cost more.

CZ P-07, chambered in 9mm with a 15+1 capacity is one of the perfect defense guns. Recommended Uses: TRG believes this is an excellent carry gun as well as for home or personal defense. The P-07 is a fun gun to shoot. It is excellent at the range. As a Concealed Carry Gun: The P-07 has more width when compared to similar platforms but its lightweight, shootability, and safety mechanisms more than compensate for slight size increase. The single/double action trigger and decocking mechanism allows for safe re-holstering after drawing. Grip Ergonomics: TRG suggests comfortable in medium or large hands. However, small hands can still effectively shoot and operate the controls of the P-07. See “Recoil” section. Reliability: Excellent with both Target and Defensive Ammo. Recoil: TRG rates this gun as 3 out of 10. Some smaller guns can be very snappy and unpleasant to shoot. This is where CZ excels. All CZ pistol slides are set low into the frame. This tends to reduce muzzle flip and make the recoil push straight back into your hand rather than flip up (this is a controversial statement and may draw criticism). TRG Overall Opinion: The P-07 is a great gun and should be considered “if you could only buy one gun.” TRG’s opinion the P-07 is an “all in one” package gun. Bul Armory SAS II, Ultra-Light, chambered in 9mm 17+1 capacity is an outstanding 2011 gun. Recommended Uses: The SAS II UL hits all three TRG categories! Excellent everyday carry. Excellent for home or personal defense. Excellent for the collector looking for a gun with a high shootability rating! As a Concealed Carry Gun: Concealable on small and medium frame persons. The 3.25in barrel and 2011 design will require a more custom holster. Grip Ergonomics: Comfortable in medium or large hands. The grip module is larger to support the 17-round magazine. Reliability: Excellent with both Target and Defensive Ammo. Recoil: TRG rates this gun as 4 out of 10. Excellent recoil for a small lightweight gun. TRG Overall Opinion: An excellent gun, Bul Armory is known for race guns and the SAS II UL does not disappoint. The only drawback is the price. It is expensive, around $1500.
