Put together some shots with both drone and walking the Smoke Creek area (Surprise Valley) in Northern Washoe County Nevada. Many people think the desert is dead, but.......... Watch the young colt bolt with tail up! He's going to be the lead some day! Feisty little guy. There were ducks and deer at the hidden pond towards the end, and just before that at the bridge, those big tree's have been ravaged by Beavers. Yes, Beavers in the desert. The only things I didn't see as usual that day were wild burros, chuckar and sage hens. I need a hand-held gimbal if I want to pursue this type of video. ;)

First time I used goggles. Strange. Almost tripped and fell several times. Yeah, it's slow unlike the racers, but I try. This area is now completely gone to business parks and multi-family homes in just 4 years. No more flying a half mile from my house.

Title says it all. The only thing that survived was the Git2 camera.

This was another fire that stunk up one of my flying spots a few years ago. Huge fire was still active behind the mountains from this one. 50,000+ acres. I also fried my flight controller this trip because of the excessive heat. It was 103 that day. Lost control at the end of the flight (not shown) I should have known by the slight shaking and hard to keep on path issues, but hey....gotta fly.

This was taken just after a big wildfire hit. They saved the park. In the beginning you will see a vehicle, those guys threatened to use my drone for target practice. I explained what would happen and they drove off. Check out the sign at the end!

I was calibrating my quadcopter for flight, and when I downloaded the vide, I see this big red ant fighting to stay steady from the prop wash. Check it out. Look to the right in between the shadows of the props. He grabs onto a pebble and hangs on!

Flying around the Bonham Ranch located on the Pyramid Lake Paiute Reservation in Washoe County, within Surprise Valley. There used to be a structure where I'm parked. During wet years, it would be surrounded and flooded by water. Long gone, but this is some cool country and landscapes. That is a hot water spring feeding the small pool and going off to no mans land into the playa. The Burningman site is maybe 30 miles North of here. Enjoy

Just flying around the Moon Rocks off Winnemucca Ranch Road in Reno Nevada. Popular place for rock crawlers, bikes, quads, and tons of snakes at the right time of year. Please people, take your garbage with you when you leave, and fill in the holes you dig. It's an older vid, just moving my stuff here from that other site.

Caught this on my security cam and could not stop watching it. It's a spider and web, but sure looks like something else when it just drifts off into the night at the end.
