Please remember to do a review of your Medicare supplement every year. We all know there is no annual election period for med supps like there is for Rx plans, but that doesn't mean you should disregard a review. Your premium is subject to rate adjustments (increases) every year, so it is very possible after even just a couple years that you could be overpaying. Many people don't know these plans are "old and outdated". As of 2020 they were closed off to only people Medicare eligible before 1-1-2020. All the healthy people have and will continue to leave these plans, meaning if you stay put you're gonna roll on with an aging, more unhealthy pool of insureds. Meaning claims loss ratios continue to go up and your premium is going up faster!! Get out now, we have such better options. This might be a little "controversial" but thought provoking nonetheless. Do you need to rethink just rolling with Plan G or Plan N? Plan G High-Deductible is a fantastic way to save on premium if you are okay with a moderately higher deductible. Why aren't more insurance agents/advisors talking about this and recommending it?
