Now that we've established plot points, narrative arcs, and some other basic terms and ideas, let's draw your storyline and showcase how, while the action follows the hero(es) primarily, the story is about the villain. Remember our villain from a prior workshop? She's the impetus for the whole adventure and a reason for there to be conflict, exploration, and more. So starting with your villain, establish the reasons for there to be action going back to before the story actually begins and carry things forward. I heavily suggest you develop your villain first. Why? Because in most cases your villain is already an established part of the world and flush with resources, knowledge, and contacts. This is a load-bearing pillar keeping your story up. Or as I put it, the tracks upon which your heroes' train will run. So while your players or reader will be along the journey from the perspective of the protagonist, it helps to actually have developed your villain first.
