Samsung TVs Missing Crucial Feature: No LPCM 5.1ch/7.1ch Uncompressed Surround Sound Audio Support?!
Since 2020, I've been a user of Samsung's QN32Q50RAFXZA 32-inch 4K Smart TV.
However, the one thing that bothered me is that it had no native support for LPCM 5.1ch or 7.1ch Uncompressed Surround Sound Audio. I literally had to route my Nintendo consoles directly through my JBL Bar 5.0 (instead of from the TV) just to get the audio quality I was hoping for. Same thing with my Apple TV 4K. No Dolby Atmos unless routed through the soundbar.
Why is there no TV that can pass multichannel LPCM or Dolby Atmos audio formats from other HDMI ports on the TV? I find it very sad that there's no native support for this, given that this is a 4K TV.
