To kids and teens living with alopecia hair loss.
Dear CAP Kid/Teen,
I want you to know that you are amazing, just the way you are. Alopecia is just a part of who you are, and it doesn't define you. You are unique and special in your own way, and that's something to be proud of.
Are you different? Yes, everyone is. Is that a bad thing? No, being different is just about the most normal thing there is.
I understand that dealing with hair loss at any age can be tough, but I want you to know that you are not alone. Many others are going through the same thing, and they, too, are pretty amazing.
I want you to take a moment to look in the mirror. Look at yourself and see the beauty in your reflection and that lies within. Your smile, your eyes, your skin, your personality – all these things are what make you unique, original and you, your hair has nothing to do with that.
Don't let the hair loss take away from who you are as a person. Instead, embrace your hair loss and wear it with confidence. There are many ways to live with it and you can style your bald head or what’s left of the hair on your head.
If you want to, but make sure you don’t feel like you have to, wear a wig, a scarf, a hat, or a CAP. Wear them all the time or sometimes or just embrace your baldness and show it off to the world! Whatever you choose to do, do it with confidence and know that you are beautiful and perfect just the way you are.
Remember, it's not about the hair on your head but the brain inside your head, the heart in your chest and the soul you were born with that makes you strong, resilient, and capable of achieving anything you set your sights on.
Don't let hair loss hold you back from pursuing your dreams and living the life you want to live. You can do anything!
If anyone has a problem with your Alopecia, that’s their problem, not yours so just move on, the world and the people on it will adjust.
Register for our next two camps now! First up, Friday May 3 to Sunday, May 5 CapKidCampWisconsin.org and then from Friday, May 10 to Sunday, May 12 for CapKidCampFlorida.org and celebrate Mother’s Day and the birthday of Jeff Woytovich, away from home.
Always remember that you are loved and supported and that there are people out there who care about you.
Stay strong, stay positive, and keep shining bright.
Sincerely,
Your biggest fan, Jeff Woytovich.

Cap Kid Camps and Alopeciapalooza
We have two new camps. A CAP Teen Camp in Idaho and a CAP Volunteer Camp in Colorado. Happy New Year from CAP
One year older is not the negative some make it out to be. It’s an opportunity to learn more about yourself and the world around you. Not everyone cares what you look like but it’s a fact that people care who you are. Be you and when you do your appearance looks better too, especially to the person you see in the mirror. - Happy New Year from CAP. Jeff, Betsy, and Karen.

Annual CAP Kid Appeal
Join us in supporting the Annual CAP Kid Appeal and keeping kids with Alopecia free at our camps in 2024!
I am reaching out and sharing an incredible opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children with alopecia.
As you may know, the Children's Alopecia Project (CAP) is dedicated to grow confidence, build self-esteem, providing support, raising awareness, and a sense of community to children and families affected by alopecia.
One of the highlights of CAP's initiatives is the Annual CAP Kid Appeal, which plays a crucial role in ensuring that CAP Kids can attend our camps, including the highly anticipated Alopeciapalooza. The CAP Kid Appeal aims to keep our camps free for all CAP Kids, allowing them to experience the joy, camaraderie, and personal growth that comes from participating in these empowering events.
By supporting the Annual CAP Kid Appeal, you can directly contribute to creating unforgettable memories and life-changing experiences for these children. Your generous contribution will help cover the costs associated with organizing and hosting the camps, including lodging, meals, activities, and resources for the CAP Kids.
Your support will not only provide financial assistance but also send a powerful message of compassion, acceptance, and solidarity to these children and their families.
Here's how you can help, make a donation.
Any amount, big or small, will make a significant impact. Your contribution will directly support the Annual CAP Kid Appeal and ensure that CAP Kids can continue attending camps free of charge.
Spread the word! Share the Annual CAP Kid Appeal with your family, friends, colleagues, and social networks. By raising awareness about this important cause, you can inspire others to join in and make a difference in the lives of children with alopecia.
To donate to the Annual CAP Kid Appeal, please visit our website at CapKidAppeal.org or Venmo @capcares and remember, every contribution, no matter the size, will go a long way in supporting our mission and making a positive difference in the lives of CAP Kids.
Thank you for considering this important cause and for your ongoing support of the Children's Alopecia Project. Together, we can empower and uplift these incredible children, helping them embrace their uniqueness and thrive with confidence.

Annual CAP Kid Appeal
Our Annual CAP Kid Appeal is off and running! This is the most important fundraiser of our year and we look forward to all of your support. Everything goes up in price but since our first Alopeciapalooza in 2009, we made a commitment to keep CAP Kids free at all our camps and to date, we’ve kept that promise because of you, our CAP family. Please go to https://conta.cc/3NDdVef and be as generous as you can and help us keep CAP Kids free at Alopeciapalooza and all our CAP Kid Camps. Thank you. Jeff Woytovich.
