For the 'Texas Toast' with you the viewers, I am drinking some Real Ale Brewing Company Devil’s Backbone Belgian Style Tripel. Named for a winding stretch of Hill Country highway, Devil’s Backbone is a Belgian-style tripel. Featuring a beautiful pale-golden color, this ale’s spicy hops and Belgian yeast work together to create a distinctive flavor and aroma. Don’t let the light color fool you, this one has a dark side too. Traditional Belgian brewing techniques add strength without increasing heaviness.

For our 'Texas Toast' with you the viewers, Stephen Rast brought a bottle of Big Six Bourbon Barrel wine. Big Six is named for the legend of Mickey “Big Six” Doyle, said to be Kentucky’s fastest Bourbon bootlegger in the early 1920s. With the help of his lightning fast six-cylinder-engine car, Big Six always remained one step ahead of the Five-O. Inspired by this tale, Big Six wines are so good – they should be against the law!

On this episode I will sit down with Ellory Wells of CigarScore.com. Of course you know that CigarScore because that is the forum that Tobacco Cabana, Texas Cigar Roadshow and Micallef Cigars won #1 Shop, Cigar Show and Cigar Brand. Ellory and I will smoke the Sticks & Stones cigar not knowing what we are in for!
For our 'Texas Toast' with you the viewers, we are drinking a Texas Whisky, Bendt No.5 that Ian picked up at Total Wine & More. This is one I will want in my liquor rotation for sure!
Thank you for watching another episode of the Texas Cigar Roadshow Pit Stop and as always, Enjoy the leaf. Grow the culture.

On this episode Ian and I were very excited to sit down with two of the owners from Definition Cigars; Jermal and Jamond. DC has what I would consider a very unique way of deciding on a new cigar blend for their lineup. This is a new Texas cigar company that launched 1/12/19 and is currently in more than 30 brick and mortars.

On this episode Ian and I sat down with one of the owners of Tobacco Cabana, Stephen Rast. He has been a cigar and pipe smoker for 30 years and is a bourbon enthusiast, to say the least. This all lends to what Tobacco Cabana is known for, a great staff that is driven to educate their customers. Stephen gives a little history of how they came about becoming the owners of Tobacco Cabana. We also talk about 2 great brands they are proud to carry; El Artista and Definition Cigars. El Artista has a cigar I love and one that is definitely under the radar for a lot of cigar smokers. It even surprised Stephen when he found it at IPCPR 2 years ago. Definition Cigars, DC, is a fast up and coming TX based cigar company with a unique story. Stay tuned to a future Pit Stop when we sit down with 2 of the DC owners.
For our 'Texas Toast' with you the viewers, we are drinking the TX Port Finish. TX Straight Bourbon Tawny Port Finish is created by taking fully matured 4-year-old TX Straight Bourbon and finishing it for 6 months in Tawny Port casks. Port is a red wine that is typically sweet, and the Tawny style is specifically known to possess rich caramel and nutty flavors. These casks came to us from the very birthplace of Port—all the way from Douro Valley in Portugal. Made from French White Oak—and specifically the oak species Quercus robur—these casks were used to age Tawny Port for 10 years before they were finally emptied and sent to our distillery. When we received these casks, it had been merely 4 weeks since the last drops of Tawny Port had been harvested. This brief timeline allowed for the port’s expressions to remain locked in the oak. As our bourbon rested in these casks for 6 months, i picked up rich flavors of fig, toffee, and toasted nuts, ultimately evolving into our beautiful Tawny Port Finish. To find out more about all these great TX whiskeys go to - https://www.frdistilling.com/whiskeys/

For Ian and I to have our 'Texas Toast' with you the viewers, we are drinking the TX Port Finish. On this episode Ian and I sat down with Ellory of Cigarscore.com via the magic of Zoom. This is not an app like most people think but a website that operates like an app. It is the place to go to find restaurants that allow cigar smoking or legit cigar shops/lounges in your area. This is the largest directory site in the world on where to smoke cigars. This all began in December of 2018. Like us at Texas Cigar Roadshow, Cigarscore.com is all about the cigar culture.

We will be smoking the Rojas KSG (King of Small Gauge). If you have followed TCR for long you know we love Noel Rojas and his blending magic and I am a huge fan of small ring gauge cigars. This is especially true for the Lancero and Corona.
On this episode, Ian and I sat down with the blending genius, Noel Rojas of Rojas Cigars. Go watch Texas Cigar Roadshow Episode 1 to watch our first interview with Noel. But Noel is not just concerned with blending cigars, he wants to help cigar smokers become more educated about what they are smoking. This education is going to happen in what he calls, " The Complete Guide to Become a Cigar Specialist." This is taking your cigar experience and knowledge to the next level!
