From a multipolarity perspective aimed at countering US and Western hegemony, the acquisition of Chinese Mandarin can be viewed as a strategic maneuver for self-respecting Africans. Numerous well-established and more qualified individuals have belabored its benefits. Today, I will focus on the most significant one. Resisting Hegemony & Counterbalancing Unilateralism: The rise of China as a global power presents an unprecedented opportunity for Africans to participate in shaping a new multipolar world order. While Africa lacks military and technological might, it compensates with its diplomatic numerical advantage at the United Nations and abundance of natural resources. Conversely, China, despite its technological prowess and military might, lacks diplomacy and natural resources. This complementary nature of Africa and China establishes the foundation for mutual cooperation. Effective diplomatic leverage requires understanding the interests, motivations, and vulnerabilities of other parties involved. Mastery of Mandarin by a majority of Africans becomes an additional asset in our diplomacy arsenal, neutralizing linguistic imperialism by the West through languages like English and French. Historically, the spread of English has accompanied the political and economic intentions of English-speaking nations, like Britain and America, to conquer other countries. Remember, where Africa lacks militarily, it makes up for in diplomacy and linguistic decolonization. Where Africa lacks technologically, it makes up for in natural resources. Viewing the US as an overreaching bully and recognizing the need for countervailing forces, China emerges as an obvious counterbalance that can check US hegemony on its own. Africa's strengthening ties with China through diplomatic support at the UN, learning Mandarin purely for linguistic decolonization, and the supply of natural resources from the continent serve to reinforce this counterbalance. Africa gains the opportunity to actively participate in efforts resisting Western hegemonic tendencies, fostering multipolarity, diversifying alliances, asserting autonomy and interests, and ensuring that global decisions are made collectively and in a balanced manner, rather than being unilaterally imposed by America. This endeavor ensures that Africa's voice is heard and respected on the global stage. Above all, mutual cooperation with China provides Africa with the means to enhance its economic sovereignty and reduce vulnerability to the whims of Western powers. Continued engagement in direct trade, investment, and technological collaboration with China paves the way for a more level playing field, ensuring that African resources and markets are not solely controlled by Western actors. In conclusion, the pursuit of multipolarity should not be seen solely as an outright rejection of the West, but also as an endeavor to foster a more balanced global order that respects the sovereignty and aspirations of all nations while challenging the dominance of any single power. And while these geopolitical reasons highlight the potential diplomatic and economic advantage of mastering Chinese Mandarin, it is also essential to preserve and promote African languages and cultures. Proficiency in Chinese Mandarin is not meant to further alienate Africans from our own language, culture, and history, but rather, it is a strategic asset in our diplomacy arsenal for neutralizing Western imperialism. Learning Chinese Mandarin represents a conscious effort by self-respecting Africans to assert their agency and play an active role in shaping their own destinies, rejecting a passive recipient status and positioning Africans as active contributors and decision-makers on the global stage. For as long as the East (i.e., China) and the West (i.e., USA) are at loggerheads, the Global South, especially Africa, has a fighting chance to emancipate itself from neo-colonialism.

Back in June 2023, I posted a video titled "Why Self-Respecting Africans Learn Chinese Mandarin." Here are the highlights of the video. One comment, presumably from someone of European descent, stood out. It read: "Africans must realize that the Chinese disdain Blacks as racially and culturally quite inferior. The Chinese are far more racist than European Americans by far." In response, I stated: "I suspect you deliberately missed the point. It is not a competition about who is more racist than the other. The video is about MULTI-POLARITY and emancipating ourselves (i.e., Africans) from Western hegemony and neo-colonialism with the assistance of Almighty China. In short, we (Africans) are leveraging China's rise for our own strategic, or is it nefarious, ends. Besides, nobody has the monopoly on bigotry (i.e., racism)—not Asians, not Europeans, not even Arabs and Indians. The hate is mutual. Africans are equally, if not more racist than any other race. It is just that most dark-skinned people across the world have perfected the art of over-playing the victim-card and crying wolf about race issues. Yet, we dark-skinned people are as hateful to each other as we are hateful towards those of other races who hate us. Yes, we are a walking contradiction; we self-loathe as much as we loathe other races. Our hate is a paradox. I say this as a self-aware, self-respecting, PROUD dark-skinned person (of pure African ancestry). I'm conscious of our major flaws, including internal politics like bigotry in the form of colorism and tribalism, and external politics such as black supremacy and abnormally extreme disdain and hate for Europeans due to slavery, colonialism, and neo-colonialism. This saps most, if not all, of our energy. Yet somehow, someway, some disdain and hate is reserved for Asians, Arabs, and Indians."

As usual, I aim to offer a fresh perspective on older woman younger man relationships, one that transcends the financial dynamics the older woman brings to the table and the stereotypes around the virility and sexual stamina the younger man brings to said table, without denying them. Heterosexual relationships are as complex as the people involved in them. A recent series of interviews with a dozen young biracial men, specifically with one parent of European descent, has shed light on a fascinating aspect of heterosexual relationships—their preference for sexy older white women. Through these interviews, it becomes evident that their choices are not driven by simple stereotypes, superficial desires or financial gains but rather by complex internal identity conflicts. Many of the young biracial men expressed feeling caught between two worlds—their European and non-European heritage. Historical terms like "mulatto" or "mestizo," used during times of slavery and colonialism, still linger in some communities, compounding how they view themselves and their relationships. An underlying theme that emerged from the interviews was a fear of betraying or disappointing the non-European side of their heritage. Pursuing relationships with young white women might be perceived as an attempt to distance or further alienate themselves from their non-European ancestry or desperation to be more accepted and affirmed within their European heritage. They dread accusations of any acts of self-loathe. In a futile attempt to appease their non-European heritage, some of the interviewees revealed that they gravitate towards relationships with sexy older white women, specifically those past their menopausal years. The logic is, by doing so, they hope to allay fears from their non-European heritage that they are pursuing relationships to produce white offspring. The inability to bear children due to menopause removes this element from the equation, allowing the focus to shift to genuine connections. Contrary to popular Freudian theory, the young biracial men explained that the Oedipus complex, often linked to relationships with older partners, had little to no influence on their preference. In short, they simply and genuinely prefer sexy older white women, just as I prefer stunning dark-skinned women. The challenge for them is how to navigate identity conflict, without denying any of it.

How can proud Non-Whites better respond to false charges of Anti-Semitism? In my fond childhood memories, there exists a special place for the spirited, the daring, and the unapologetically tomboyish. These are the girls who climbed trees with skinned knees and wore their scraped elbows like badges of honor. The ones who reveled in the thrill of muddy adventures and found solace in the company of toy trucks and action figures. For those women who once identified as tomboys in their girlhood, the world can be a curious place. The term itself, "tomboy," suggests a departure from the traditional, feminine archetype. It speaks of girls who defy conventions by favoring activities traditionally associated with boys. And it's not out of gender dysphoria. They simply and genuinely revel in dirt, scrapes, rough play, sports and the exhilaration of outdoor adventures that may have been deemed "inappropriate", quirky and idiosyncratic for their gender. So the tomboy is not merely about a rebellion against pink dresses and prim manners; she is a personification of a childlike sense of wonder, unburdened by the cynicism and political correctness that comes with adulthood. In the end, tomboy-hood was just a pure, untainted phase, a detour on the path to womanhood and adulthood.

I'm well-aware that I'm no Idris Elba or Randy Gowon; I know my place in the sexual and financial hierarchy and I'm comfortable in my own skin. I'm just not delusional enough to think I'm her type. So it's not about seeking validation or yearning for external approval. It's about how she's an embodiment of my own preference. See, stunning dark-skinned women like her, they are my weakness, my heart's deepest longing. I can't stand life without them, so much so that I'm not necessarily interested in a conversation, hug, or anything intimate. Just the chance to catch a glimpse of them in person, even from afar, would make my day. Duckie Thot, for example, is, ofcourse, way out of my league in the strictest sense of hypergamy. Yes, she belongs to a realm beyond my reach, like a star shining in a distant galaxy. Yes, she's a masterpiece, and I'm just a humble observer, hoping to bask in her brilliance. Yes, I should be aiming low, yet, I can't help but wonder if our paths will ever cross, if the universe would conspire to bridge the gap between our worlds. Maybe, just maybe, even though our worlds might seem apart and impossible, there's a bridge waiting to be crossed, where beauty and beast meet halfway. "Continue deceiving yourself—preacher of a white man’s religion." Semites include all types and shades of Arabs, some Ethiopians (i.e., the Amhara tribe and the Tigray tribe), and Hebrews (i.e., Jews). Fellow Africans, during your education, you likely learned that Africa is categorized into four ethno-linguistic groups: Bantus, Nilotes, Semites, and Cushites. North Africa is predominantly Semites, Sub-Saharan Africa is predominantly Bantus and Nilotes save for the Horn of Africa which is made up of Cushites, e.g., the Oromo and Somalis. In essence, the religion of the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob is not the white man’s (i.e., European) creation. Afterall, Jesus Christ was neither black nor white. This perception can unintentionally lead to certain advantages, such as higher expectations and opportunities. However, when scrutinized more closely, this stereotype can also have negative consequences. Firstly, perpetuating the notion that Asians are naturally gifted in math can place immense pressure on individuals from Asian backgrounds, creating unrealistic expectations and fostering a culture of high academic achievement. This pressure may lead to stress, burnout, and mental health issues, as individuals may feel compelled to conform to the stereotype, regardless of their true interests or strengths. Secondly, the stereotype can contribute to the marginalization and exclusion of Asians from non-academic fields, reinforcing the notion that their primary value lies in their mathematical abilities. This can limit opportunities for Asians to explore and pursue diverse career paths and can overlook the richness of their cultural contributions in other domains. Furthermore, this stereotype can unintentionally perpetuate racial divisions. By assuming that Asians are inherently better at math, it reinforces the idea that people from other racial or ethnic backgrounds are inherently worse. This type of thinking can reinforce stereotypes about other groups, for example, that Africans are only good in sports and entertainment, and Europeans are only good at stealing and appropriation. This divisive thinking can lead to an increase in incidents of hate crimes, harassment, and verbal attacks against Asians, as other racial groups project their resentment or inferiority complex triggered by the perceived superiority of Asians in terms of IQ. In conclusion, individuals are unique, and their talents and abilities cannot be determined solely by their racial or ethnic background. Stereotypes, even seemingly positive ones, oversimplify the complexity of human diversity. Instead of subscribing to lazy, limiting generalizations, we must view people as individuals. Only then can we appreciate the wide range of talents, skills, and interests that exist across all communities.

In an attempt to create a diverse and inclusive workplace, entrepreneurs often find themselves at a crossroads. On one side lies the noble intention of being a genuine equal opportunity employer, while on the other, the specter of nepotism, tribalism, affirmative action, tokenism, and the tragedy of hiring mediocrity solely for diversity's sake loom large. Navigating this dilemma requires not only a commitment to fairness but also a deep understanding of the nuances that define authenticity in our quest for diversity. Tokenism, as we all know, is the act of parading a single representative from a marginalized group to pacify the demands for diversity. This not-so-subtle art of including individuals from underrepresented groups for appearance's sake rather than their genuine contributions haunts the corridors of many institutions. It's a superficial nod to diversity that fails to address the core issues of inclusion and belonging. Tokenism is further compounded by the concept of diversity hires, i.e., the practice of filling quotas in the name of representation, regardless of competence or meritocracy. The tragedy deepens when individuals are chosen not for their skills, passion, or dedication but because their presence fulfills an arbitrary diversity checkbox. Competence sacrificed at the altar of superficial diversity renders the noble pursuit of equal opportunity hollow—a mere facade obscuring the genuine meritocracy we strive for. I reject the notion that fulfilling quotas should come at the expense of competence, for true equality demands excellence, not compromise or dumbing down. Just as the Lord is no respecter of persons, brilliance knows no gender, race, religion, or background. So, does this mean there is no place for affirmative action? The quick, careless, and dismissive answer would be yes—power is taken, not given. But I heard once that: "Equality is giving everyone a shoe. Equity is giving everyone a shoe that fits. Justice is when we don't need to give everyone a shoe because they can get their own shoe—a shoe that fits." Tokenism undermines the very essence of equal opportunity. It reduces individuals to mere symbols, figureheads, and placeholders meant to adorn corporate brochures or to check boxes on diversity reports. The tragedy lies in the fact that, despite good intentions, it perpetuates stereotypes, incubates resentment among employees, and hinders real progress. Affirmative action, at its core, is a policy designed to address systemic inequalities and historical injustices that women and minority groups in any given country's context have faced in education and employment. It is a recognition that achieving equality sometimes requires proactive measures to level the playing field. However, when misapplied, affirmative action can indeed undermine the principles of competence and meritocracy. So, how can we strike a balance? (without compromising the fundamental principle that candidates should be hired, promoted, or admitted based on their abilities and qualifications) The key lies in the intent and implementation of affirmative action. Instead of viewing it as a shortcut to diversity, we should consider it as a means to broaden the pool of qualified candidates. Affirmative action can be a tool to identify and nurture potential talent from underrepresented groups who might have been overlooked due to societal biases and barriers. It acknowledges that talent and potential exist across all demographics. So, yes, there is a place for affirmative action, but strictly when it is a temporary, targeted measure designed to rectify specific imbalances. This way, it does not undermine competence and meritocracy but rather supplements them in the pursuit of not just genuine equality for the marginalized but justice for all, including those perceived or imagined to be privileged. This approach fosters an environment where individuals from privileged and underprivileged backgrounds can both perform and truly be themselves, unburdened by the weight of representing their entire group. After all, it's individuals, not their communities, that bring a unique set of experiences, perspectives, and talents to the table.

From a multipolarity perspective aimed at countering US and Western hegemony, the acquisition of Chinese Mandarin can be viewed as a strategic maneuver for self-respecting Africans. Numerous well-established and more qualified individuals have belabored its benefits. Today, I will focus on the most significant one. Resisting Hegemony & Counterbalancing Unilateralism: The rise of China as a global power presents an unprecedented opportunity for Africans to participate in shaping a new multipolar world order. While Africa lacks military and technological might, it compensates with its diplomatic numerical advantage at the United Nations and abundance of natural resources. Conversely, China, despite its technological prowess and military might, lacks diplomacy and natural resources. This complementary nature of Africa and China establishes the foundation for mutual cooperation. Effective diplomatic leverage requires understanding the interests, motivations, and vulnerabilities of other parties involved. Mastery of Mandarin by a majority of Africans becomes an additional asset in our diplomacy arsenal, neutralizing linguistic imperialism by the West through languages like English and French. Historically, the spread of English has accompanied the political and economic intentions of English-speaking nations, like Britain and America, to conquer other countries. Remember, where Africa lacks militarily, it makes up for in diplomacy and linguistic decolonization. Where Africa lacks technologically, it makes up for in natural resources. Viewing the US as an overreaching bully and recognizing the need for countervailing forces, China emerges as an obvious counterbalance that can check US hegemony on its own. Africa's strengthening ties with China through diplomatic support at the UN, learning Mandarin purely for linguistic decolonization, and the supply of natural resources from the continent serve to reinforce this counterbalance. Africa gains the opportunity to actively participate in efforts resisting Western hegemonic tendencies, fostering multipolarity, diversifying alliances, asserting autonomy and interests, and ensuring that global decisions are made collectively and in a balanced manner, rather than being unilaterally imposed by America. This endeavor ensures that Africa's voice is heard and respected on the global stage. Above all, mutual cooperation with China provides Africa with the means to enhance its economic sovereignty and reduce vulnerability to the whims of Western powers. Continued engagement in direct trade, investment, and technological collaboration with China paves the way for a more level playing field, ensuring that African resources and markets are not solely controlled by Western actors. In conclusion, the pursuit of multipolarity should not be seen solely as an outright rejection of the West, but also as an endeavor to foster a more balanced global order that respects the sovereignty and aspirations of all nations while challenging the dominance of any single power. And while these geopolitical reasons highlight the potential diplomatic and economic advantage of mastering Chinese Mandarin, it is also essential to preserve and promote African languages and cultures. Proficiency in Chinese Mandarin is not meant to further alienate Africans from our own language, culture, and history, but rather, it is a strategic asset in our diplomacy arsenal for neutralizing Western imperialism. Learning Chinese Mandarin represents a conscious effort by self-respecting Africans to assert their agency and play an active role in shaping their own destinies, rejecting a passive recipient status and positioning Africans as active contributors and decision-makers on the global stage. For as long as the East (i.e., China) and the West (i.e., USA) are at loggerheads, the Global South, especially Africa, has a fighting chance to emancipate itself from neo-colonialism.

As a proud and self-respecting African, I often find myself wrestling with a complex love-hate relationship with my continent. Yes, it is true that some African Kings and Chiefs, along with their armies, captured or kidnapped and sold fellow Africans from warring tribes into slavery, first to Arab slave traders on the East African coast and then to European slave traders on the West African coast. It is also true that some African Kings, Chiefs, and home guards (i.e., house negroes) collaborated with European colonizers. Clearly, tribalism (i.e., negative ethnicity) existed in Africa prior to the arrival of slave traders and continues to divide and conquer our African societies long after the colonizers left. This tribalism has only evolved from the horrific practice of selling fellow Africans into slavery and collaborating with colonizers to a system where puppet leaders, often installed by former colonizers, plunder their own countries with impunity. What's even worse is the vehement defense and allegiance offered to the puppet leader by his kinsmen and tribe, perpetuating a cycle of corruption and underdevelopment. Such tribal allegiance to corrupt puppet politicians, even when it goes against the collective interests of the entire tribe, is puzzling: What sorcery is this? Oh foolish Africans, who has bewitched us? The European colonizers or, is it "conquerors," who "civilized" the already prosperous natives? The puppet elite who took over after independence? The bigoted electorate who self-sabotage at the ballot? The meddling by former colonial masters? Or all of the above? In fairness, it was only natural for slave traders and colonizers to exploit and exacerbate existing ethnic divisions, as any strategic person should. A striking example of missed opportunities is often cited when comparing Singapore's path with that of many African nations during the independence era of the 1960s. While Singapore once stood on equal footing, it has since surged ahead economically, surpassing even its former colonial master, Britain. Under the visionary leadership of Lee Kuan Yew, Singapore pursued a strategic and disciplined approach to governance and economic development. In contrast, many African nations focused on institutionalizing bigotry (i.e., tribalism, clanism, sectarianism, and nepotism). Such contrasting trajectories leave me yearning for a utopia where Africa overcame tribal divisions so that we can finally address corruption objectively.

Like most self-respecting people across the world, I harbor anti-America sentiments, and it is not without reason. Their destructive foreign policies, military invasions, and interference in the affairs of other sovereign states, including Kenya, my beloved country, top the list of reasons. On the surface, the fact that black Americans are, in fact, Americans makes them guilty by association, regardless of their perceived or imagined struggles in their country. Ransford James eloquently stated that black Americans suffer from an America-centric ego that propels the perspective that America is the world. Cultural imperialism is the main factor that contributes to the development of an America-centric ego among Americans, including black Americans. Cultural imperialism refers to the dominance of one culture over others through the dissemination and promotion of its cultural products, values, and beliefs. This can occur through various means, including media, entertainment, technology, military, and economic influence. Americanization is considered a form of cultural imperialism, where American cultural products, such as movies, music, fashion, and even political ideologies, are promoted globally, leading to their widespread adoption. In the case of black Americans, Americanization has both positive and negative implications. On one hand, it has contributed to the dissemination and recognition of black American art, literature, scientists, inventors and cultural contributions, which have had a significant impact worldwide. Black American cultural exports, such as jazz, blues, and hip-hop, have influenced and inspired artists and individuals from diverse backgrounds globally. And of course, notable figures like the combative Malcolm X, who epitomized self-respect better than the pacifist Martin Luther King Jr. Malcolm's "By any means necessary" speech resonates to date with all those whose people were enslaved or whose lands were stolen and colonized. Unfortunately, Americanization has been co-opted into black American victimhood hegemony, where the black American lived experience in America is elevated above other black experiences worldwide. Black Americans are the self-proclaimed undisputed champions of Oppression Olympics, otherwise called Victim Olympics. Incited by white American liberals and other nefarious individuals and interest groups exploiting racial issues for personal gain (i.e., race grifters), some black Americans have turned the pursuit of justice into a competition for who has suffered the most oppression, in a futile attempt to overshadow the lived experiences of Native Americans, Africans, Afro-Latinos, Afro-Caribbeans, Jews, Arabs, and Asians. They forget that there are both black and non-black people inside and outside America who have endured just as much marginalization, if not more. His cardinal sin was spearheading nonsensical woke ideologies in Africa during his presidency instead of focusing on development. While not every mixed-race individual faces issues related to split loyalties, it is a legitimate concern that some might encounter internal conflicts when representing diverse communities. An example often cited is former President Barack Obama, who is of mixed racial heritage, with an African father and Caucasian mother. The argument posits that mixed-race individuals, like Obama, may struggle with conflicting allegiances, particularly between their African heritage and the influences of other cultures. This perceived struggle could potentially lead to a disconnect when advocating for the rights and development of dark-skinned people. Critics argue that Obama's presidency saw a focus on social issues like gay and transgender rights, which some feel took precedence over addressing pressing developmental needs in African nations. It is essential to note that this perspective does not negate the positive impact Obama's administration may or may not have had on various aspects of society. By all means, go ahead on dates or even marry outside your race, but please don't act surprised when your biracial kids choose the other side of their heritage over yours. While some might even argue that your mixed kids learned self-loathing from you, in fairness, matters of the heart are often beyond our control, and we cannot dictate or select whom we truly fall in love with. Heterosexual love is a complex and unpredictable emotion that transcends factors such as race or ethnicity. Genuine heterosexual love is a natural and spontaneous connection that forms between individuals, guided by emotions that are beyond our conscious decision-making.

In an era where good old-fashioned activism continues to be a force for positive change, wokeism, a disturbing trend usurping it for the last ten years, is ever more emboldened. While the intention behind activism is to create a more just society, wokeism has taken this noble cause and veered off course into damnation. It is activism gone rogue, co-opted by nefarious interest groups seeking to advance their own agendas under the guise of progress. The problem lies not in the pursuit of social justice, but rather in the distortion of common sense itself. Wokeism has created a dystopia where common sense is no longer common, but rather twisted and redefined to suit ideological narratives. For example, legitimate concerns regarding racism, homosexuality, and transgenderism in the West, tribalism, and colorism in Africa, sectarianism in the Middle East, or casteism in India, have been weaponized. These issues are now used to label anyone questioning extreme woke viewpoints as bigots. In this way, wokeism alienates rather than unites, hindering the very progress it claims to champion. Wokeism brazenly crossed the line, shifting from objectively challenging the status quo to selective outrage and extreme political correctness. This imbalance has seen the emergence of extreme counter-culture, where the alienated and disillusioned, like myself, feel compelled to push back against what we see as the excesses of wokeism. Inevitably, this leads to a vicious cycle of counter-protests within the larger protest movement, creating a zero-sum game. For every gain made by one side, the other side perceives a loss. The irony of each side protesting for the other side to lose the right to protest isn't lost on everyone, but it brings attention to the complexities of balancing individual rights and societal stability. Some may see the paradox, while others may not fully grasp it. Such counter protests are a symbolic commentary on "How woke is too woke?". The irony serves as a way to draw attention to perceived threats to societal stability if society prescribes and indulges new rights and civil liberties detached from common sense. In short, while injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere, we must be vigilant against letting wokeism overshadow genuine activism and impede the path towards a truly just and empathetic society. Striking a balance between genuine progress and safeguarding the sanctity of common sense is the key to a more united and just future.
