First rehearsal with choir of new song. Several technical e-drum issues to coordinate. Very good result for the first time together. Speaks well of the talent there. Thanks be to God.

Starting to explore jazz. Really like this vibe.

Worship songs performed on a Roland TD-17KVA in a small church setting.

This is how I practice songs I have previously recorded with the praise band. I record rehearsals to establish my part based on the band's instrumentation that week, then play along several times prior to performance.

These "drum covers" are unrehearsed, mostly because I use them as an escape from some of my more disciplined playing. Of course, they are songs I like and am familiar with, but there are minor flaws due to not "studying" them. The Roland TD-17KVA is a very versatile e-kit and I hope that will be evident in these videos.

Had to make some changes to the worship kit including video settings so I checked it by improvising solo, then to rock, and funk loops. No practice, just play what comes out. Roland TD-17; Zoom Q2n

This is my unrehearsed cover of a late 60's record. I like to do unrehearsed covers of songs I've heard many times because it tests my memory...and I "hate" to practice. ;-) So, my videos aren't intended to be "perfect" performances. They are for my amusement and exploration of spontaneous percussive ideas, not a defined performance. This approach, by definition, will include ideas that need skill refinement if a performance was intended, which it is not.
