Jun Needs Your Help Rev 4
Hi, I'm Aaron Avila, CEO/Founder of Stroke TV Media. I'm almost done creating this fundraising video for my stroke survivor brother Jun and his family in the Philippines.
Together we can make the world a better place!
Jun was a high end graphic designer who worked in Dubai. Jun was very successful and able to provide well for his wife and three young children.
Then something life shattering happened. Jun, at the age of 49, suffered a massive stroke.
This catastrophic stroke event would dramatically alter the course of their families life forever!
Jun went from corporate success, living in a nice home to having a massive stroke that plunged Jun and his family into utter hardship and darkness.
As stroke did to my family and I, stroke hit Jun and his family unexpectedly and as fast as lighting strikes.
Stroke turned this families life upside down in a blink of an eye.
Jun and his family currently live in a one room tin shack in a small village in the Philippines. This shack has one bed that Jun, his wife and three kids share.
To make Jun's stroke even more life threatening, Jun's stroke triggered approximately four to seven seizures a day. These daily seizures lasted months after his stroke and would bring Jun to the brink of death.
Being a new nonprofit, I was only able to raise about $700.00 dollars to send to Jun's family. Due to the massive exchange rate in the Philippines, $700.00 dollars is equivalent to sending Jun and his family $37,000 PHP.
Jun could now afford his desperately needed anti seizure medication, buy the kids needed diapers, clothes and food.
Unfortunately I was not able to raise any more money for Jun and his family and the money only lasted several months.
Jun and his family desperately need your help.
Because I found it so difficult to raise money for stroke survivors in need, (Heartbreaking and frustrating really) I decided to close the nonprofit.
I said to myself, I will build a for profit corporation and earn the money I need to help stroke survivors around the world directly myself through my for profit corporation.
I am still building Stroke TV Media today, to accomplish this dream.
I will not stop working twelve to fourteen hour days until I make the money needed to help my stroke survivor brothers, sisters and their families in need around the world.
(I haven't figured out how to monetize Stroke TV Media yet but I will be relentless in working to make a difference).
So here I am a year later and receive a message from Jun's wife simply saying "Aaron please help us" with the video attached above.
So I come to you my fellow human beings from around the world. Please help Jun and his family. They desperately need your financial help.
I am no longer a nonprofit, so the PayPal Email goes directly to Jun's wife's sisters account. 100% of any amount of money you donate, will go directly to Jun and his family.
I deeply appreciate you helping them.

The Two Questions You Should Always Ask
After a podcast with a stroke survivor brother, Mitch Axelrod, I learned two questions of thoughts that enter our mind before you allow that thought to reside in your mind or just let it go.
You see, we have total control of what we allow to become a belief.
In this podcast I will share with you the two questions you should filter every thought that enters you mind before you accept it as a belief.

"Women" From The Bedroom To The Boardroom
About
I grew up in a tough, lower-class neighborhood and I learned early that you have to negotiate the life you desire. The key to getting what you want and deserve is the art of influence and persuasion. Yet we’re not taught the secrets to this critical life skill.
My parents taught me early about my worth. What a gift I’d been given, believing my voice mattered. Not all women are so lucky. Women tend to put their own desires secondary to the needs and desires of others. We park our purpose; we short-change ourselves. I created Women on Purpose (https://www.womenonpurpose.ca/) to empower ambitious women through my coaching, speaking, and writing to unleash their feminine power to rediscover their true purpose, take charge of their lives, and become the best version of themselves. I help women get what they want by leaning into innate feminine strengths with my patented negotiation models. This, in turn, creates more success for them in their personal lives, leading them to feel confident, powerful and in control.
Growing up, around our modest dinner table, our family discussed and debated injustices in the world. My father taught me that everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and respect. So, upon graduating from the prestigious Osgoode Hall Law School, I passed up lucrative job offers and established my own social justice law practice instead, Watson Labour Law. I became well-known for my negotiation skills, exceptional representation of, and effective advocacy for “the underdog”: workers, women, and less-advantaged people of all descriptions.
I love giving a voice to marginalized people. Recently I added an exceptional law partner, Riley Palmer, LL.B, to create our new firm, Watson Palmer Law. Our expanded capability allows me to focus on my mission, redefining success, power, and how we can negotiate to get better outcomes.
As a speaker and coach, I am known for my passion, commitment, deep caring, and ability to inspire. My recent book, The Art of Feminine Negotiation: How to Get What You Want From the Boardroom to the Bedroom, is on the Wall Street Journal and USA Today Bestseller lists and is an Amazon #1 Best-Seller in multiple categories. I also created a new kind of Planner with my daughter Jade: Purpose Planner: Live on Purpose and with Purpose. Women who use this Purpose Planner daily see profound growth, mindset shifts, and new habits that enhance their lives in every aspect, from relationships to productivity and performance to achieve their goals and vision.

I am a passionate keynote speaker, and panelist for a myriad of industry events, including The National Diversity Leadership Conference, and have served in numerous Board of Director roles. I have led many successful matrix teams to achieve project and portfolio success that experience has given me the confidence to encourage others.
The experiences that I have gained in Global M&A, digital transformation and Organizational Change Management projects have made me a better leader of people, with the proven ability to lead diverse and dynamic teams.
I am excited to share with a larger audience my skills in training, leadership, project management and mental health and wellness. In 2019 I created a non-profit organization, 2020 Lives Changed, Inc to allow the world to benefit from our speaking engagements through Phoenix Speaks. I am blessed to have a "tribe" of leaders who have been on board as volunteers since October 2019 helping to realize the dream of touching the lives impacted by the year that we won't forget: 2020!
We share the faith that God will provide for us and support us while we continue to advocate for those who need it. Thank you in advance for your support and encouragement.

You Don't Want To Miss Tomorrows Podcast On Stroke TV Media YouTube Channel
About my guest Tom Broussard
Prior to his stroke, Dr. Broussard was the associate dean for Admissions & Career Services at the Heller School for Social Policy & Management at Brandeis University for five years. Previously, he had owned and operated Career Prospects, Inc., a staffing and career counseling company for fifteen years. He graduated from the US Naval Academy and earned his Ph.D. from the Heller School at Brandeis University. The focus of his doctoral studies was workforce development and the employment of people with disabilities.
He had his stroke in 2011 and could not read, write, or speak well but kept a diary. He couldn’t write, but “recorded” his diary by using drawings, graphs, charts, and metaphorical pictures. The recovery from damage of his language progressed from individual words to fragments to sentences to paragraphs to pages. He also recorded his voice which, with his diary, provided the evidence needed to assess and rebuild the different modalities of his deficits. He started with what the nurses called “word salad,” and grew to a point when his lost grammar had come back.

How To Change Another Person’s Mindset After Stroke
In this solo podcast I will be teaching you what I have learned about changing another persons mindset.
I am taking on this topic inspired by my recent conversions with a spouse who's husband recently had a stroke and she's frustrated because her husband has a negative, do nothing mindset.
So I asked myself "what can I tell her, to change her husbands mindset?"
I was in a C-Suite Networking meeting and had a breakout meeting with David Medansky and Lynell Renee Green.
I brought the topic of mindset and our discussion was absolutely amazing.
I want to share my big take away from that conversation.
Caregivers you will benefit from this podcast.

NEUROfit With Guest Courtney Roberts
WHAT IS NEUROfit?
NEUROfit is gamified, interactive equipment that simultaneously strengthens the body and brain for stronger cognitive dexterity, executive functioning, and bodily agility. This concept is known in medical field as dual-task training. NEUROfit is Wifi/Bluetooth enabled and uses stimulating lights and sounds to encourage users during training sessions, adding to the exciting gamified experience! Our devices are tough enough to challenge the strongest of athletes, yet versatile to suite the needs of children, elderly, and special needs population. NEUROfit equipment has strike resistance so it can be forcefully contacted with punches, kicks, sports balls, bean bags, and other exercise equipment such as hand weights and medicine balls. Sylvester Stallone has used our equipment to train for his film, Creed II!
See Sly Use SMARTfit Here: https://www.instagram.com/stories/highlights/17910910709567187/
NEUROfit IS THE NEXT BIG NEURO-HACK
Scientific research shows this unique dual-tasking experience delivers outcomes more quickly than respective cognitive and physical training done separately. Users can expect improvements in neuroplasticity, eye-hand coordination, information processing rate, physical response speed, cognitive flexibility, memory, self-awareness, impulse/emotional control, balance, strength, task prioritization/initiation, and thought organization. Additionally, physical and mental gained outcomes transfer better to activities of daily living and general athletic performance outside of training sessions versus other types of single modality training.
Dual-tasking on a regular basis builds a greater number and more robust neural pathways in the brain. This builds "detours" around damage done by a neurological event and helps individuals recover faster from medical emergencies faster during rehabilitation due to a stronger baseline status.
NEUROfit is evidence-based proving that dual task training focused on executive function improves real-life cognitive and physical performance faster and more effectively than training the brain or body alone. Data reports that patients need 5,000 repetitions in order to obtain self-directed, automatic actions. Typically, a session of traditional therapy offers 30 repetitions. Patients who complete therapy sessions with NEUROfit, are more engaged and perform more meaningful repetitions than during more traditional therapy sessions, leading to action automaticity more quickly.
