China was surprised to see the Philippines get hundreds of vehicles and military equipment from the United States (US). Defense and security cooperation between the Philippines and the US further strengthens the Philippines' position in facing increasingly complex security threats in the Southeast Asia region. The Philippines recently received significant military equipment assistance from the US. Hundreds of vehicles, including tanks and trucks, as well as other military equipment have been sent to the Philippines. This is part of US efforts to support the Philippines' defense capacity and strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.
