The Target is your Brain is devoted to propaganda and ideological wars in the postwar bipolar world. It is the last film of Felix Sobolev, the founder of ‘Kyiv school of scientific film’. After his death, the film was finished by his apprentice Victor Olender, who later claimed that ‘In the early years of Ukraine’s independence, politicians rushed to search for better ways to sell themselves and went to our film archive to watch The Target, to see how it’s being done in the US’. The film examines the mechanics of western media, US election campaigns, military neurophysiology, and ideological basics of the capitalist world. There's also a book written with the same name inspired by this film
