Another Train | Kenny Stinson and Perfect Tym'n | Lyric Video
Sound Biscuit announces the release of "Another Train," by the bluegrass ensemble Kenny Stinson & Perfect Tym'n, featuring Daniel Norton.
Kenny Stinson & Perfect Tym'n, known for their high-energy performances, have carved a unique niche in the Bluegrass genre. Drawing inspiration from Kenny Stinson's diverse musical background, including stints with legendary acts like Jimmy Martin's Sunny Mountain Boys, Gary Waldrep and David Davis. The band brings a blend of tradition and innovation to their music and live shows.
Songwriter Daniel Norton seamlessly blends traditional roots with a fresh, energetic sound. Norton shares, “Bluegrass has a history of pain and troublesome times being referred to as rain, and trains have always been the getaway for the ramblers heart. The restless rambler never settles down. He throws all his money down and travels when the opportunity to escape comes along, but this rambler had remorse over his last love, even shed a tear, but he figures she's already moved on. He'd rather be traveling than dealing with the troubles and worries of trying to keep a woman anyhow.”
Daniel started playing banjo at five years old and grew up playing with his family’s gospel group. Later he formed a band called 'Icy Holler,' played with 'True Grass,' and then had the honor of playing with Kenny Stinson. After a brief hiatus, Daniel returned to the scene with Hammertowne, toured with 'Nick Dumas & Branchline,' and even graced the Grand Ole Opry stage with Rhonda Vincent and the Rage.
“There just can’t ever be too many trains in Bluegrass music and “Another Train” is a perfect traditional addition. Daniel has a unique perspective in his writing and a true bluegrass distinction in his singing. Combined with the high energy musicianship of Kenny Stinson & Perfect Tym’n, you get a toe tappin’ tune that’s hard to get out of your head.” Dave Maggard, Sound Biscuit CEO and Producer
The recording features Daniel Norton on lead vocals, guitar, and resophonic guitar. Kenny Stinson on baritone vocals and mandolin, Ronda Stinson on harmony vocals, Kyle Dodson on banjo, and Gavin Stinson on bass. “Another Train” was produced by Dave Maggard, with engineering and art design by Shane Reman. Recording, mixing and mastering by Sound Biscuit Productions.

1940 Ford | Corey Zink | Bluegrass Music Lyric Video
Sevierville, TN. - From “Lifetimes,” the debut album under the Sound Biscuit label, comes the single from Corey Zink, “1940 Ford.”
“Many people enjoy restoring old cars, old buses & old trucks. I wrote the song (Nineteen Forty Ford) for a friend of mine who had restored his 40 Ford. Seeing it brought back to life, as it was when it was brand new open my eyes to why I believe many people enjoy the hobby. My feeling is that it takes them back to a time in their life that they can reflect on happy and positive memories. My intent was to do the same with the song and I hope this song will lift some spirits and take some folks back to a time in their life when they can enjoy the simple pleasures of a less chaotic time. I like to write songs that have a message that will touch your heart or maybe even teach you a lesson. My hope is that This song will bring a smile or a happy tear.” -Corey.

I Am Weary Let Me Rest | The Po' Ramblin' Boys | Bluegrass Music Lyric Video
Sevierville, TN. - Sound Biscuit is excited to announce the first and only single from the “God’s Love is So Divine” album by the Po’ Ramblin’ Boys on the Sound Biscuit Label, “I Am Weary Let Me Rest.”
Jereme Brown - Lead vocals and banjo
Laura Orshaw - fiddle

“The project “Gods Love is So Divine” has an interesting background. PRB (Po’ Ramblin’ Boys) approached me here at Sound Biscuit after releasing their first album “Back to the Mountains” in 2016 on Random Records, wanting to record a gospel album. All the songs selected on the album were carefully chosen with special meaning to the band. Random Records did not have a gospel genre on their label so PRB was looking outside the label to record this special project. Perfect match for us here at Sound Biscuit as a label project. As fate would have it, just as the album was to be released, PRB signed a label deal with Rounder Records, a management deal with Rainmaker Music Management and a signing with Crossover Touring.”
“I felt this wasn’t a good time to promote the gospel album and didn’t want to take any of the momentum away from the PRB partnership with Rounder, Rainmaker and Crossover. In hindsight it was a very good decision as PRB went on to be nominated for a Grammy with the “Toil, Tears and Trouble” album on the Rounder label. Their next project released on the Smithsonian Folkways label, “Never Slow Down” is currently showcasing a number of successful singles making the charts. I have always thought the “Gods Love is So Divine” album was a hidden gem of PRB music. After consulting with PRB and deciding to officially share this amazing gospel album with the public, I reconnected with Paul Blakemore for the remastering of the gospel project. Paul had provided Mastering for “Toil, Tears and Trouble” as well as “Never Slow Down” and a single release of “East Bound and Down.”
I have been fortunate and proud to have recorded/engineered and co-produced all three of these albums as well as the chart topping single “East Bound and Down” with PRB.”- Dave Maggard/Sound Biscuit

I hope Airplane Mode takes you on a 3 minute vacation, or even better inspires you to go on a real one! It was such an honor working with Sound Biscuit on this project. They brought my vision to life! Thanks to Colleen Francis and Tom Pino for creating this magic with me!
~ Sara Collins
You can see Sara on Season 18 of the voice. The then 18-year-old singer, who now performs at Ole Red Gatlinburg, captured the attention of coaches Kelly Clarkson and Nick Jonas who both turned their chairs for Collins. Jonas told Collins he'd be honored to work with her and compared her voice to country singer Maren Morris."I'm a big fan, and I would love for you to be on my team," Kelly Clarkson said.
Collins ultimately chose Clarkson and joined Team Kelly

Missing Her Has Never Slowed Me Down | The Po' Ramblin' Boys | Bluegrass Music Lyric Video
The Po Ramblin Boys released this single “Missing Her Has Never Slowed Me Down” on the Sound Biscuit Label in July of 2021.
"Missing Her Has Never Slowed Me Down"
Artist Name: The Po' Ramblin' Boys
Written/composed by- Josh Rinkle
Publisher: Keep It Lonesome
Record Label: Sound Biscuit, Sevierville, TN.
Release Date: 7/16/2021

Josh Rinkle - Guitar, Lead Vocals
C.J. Lewandowski - Mandolin
Jereme Brown - Banjo, Harmony
Laura Orshaw - Fiddle, Harmony
Jasper Lorentzen - Bass
“Missing Her Has Never Slowed Me Down came to be while we were on our way to Alberta, Canada for our very first tour as The Po’ Ramblin’ Boys. We were held up at the border…for reasons that I’d rather not disclose (like that Me and Paul reference??). After driving over 2,000 miles we were told to turn back and go home. We had to cancel the first show of the tour, it was a real mess.
Instead of starting the journey back home we went to the nearest hotel, which wasn’t really all that near, to try to iron out a plan to try the border again in the morning. I went to the hotel bar for a drink and to clear my head. At the time I was dating a girl in Gatlinburg, TN, and couldn’t help but think that I should just be there with her instead of out running the road. That’s when this song came to be.
I’ve always been drawn to the spirit and wide openness of the west, and couldn’t help but to include that in this song. I want to dedicate the song to all of the traveling people, hobos, and drifters that have contributed so much to Americana and American music.”
- Josh Rinkle, Songwriter
The Song can also be found on their album Never Slow Down under the Smithsonian label.

"I was approached one evening following a live performance by a woman who had just listened to a few words I had said between songs. I had spoken briefly about feeling incredibly thankful to be able to do what I love, for a living. I spoke about the challenges we all face in life, working to be the best that we can be while trying not to forget to count our blessings. She suggested that I write a song about my feelings, expanding on what I had said. I began writing my thoughts that we are never alone. Jesus is always with us. Sharing his strength, filling our lives with light and love. My hope is that this song will help us all remember if we follow our peace, to always see the good first, fear not, and trust in God’s plan for us. I cannot remember the name of the woman who suggested that I write this song but wherever she is, I hope she approves. Maybe someday I’ll get a chance to thank her for the inspiration for (God’s Guiding Light).” -Corey Zink

Dedicated to his music, Corey is full time on the road with his Bluegrass band “Zink & Company“, as well as his Country band, “Classic Country Road Show”, performing at Bluegrass and Classic Country festivals across the U.S. He also has a local band, JCT 441 based at home in Sevier County playing Classic Country from the 1950s to early 2000. His distinct baritone voice is perfect for his crossover combination of down-to-earth lyrics and style, creating original “Corey Zink” stories in song.

Kiss On A Cold, Cold Stone by Jesse Brock feat. Greg Blake | Bluegrass Music Video
Award winning mandolin player, Jesse Brock, announces his second single release with Sound Biscuit Records, complete with a new music video. "Kiss on a Cold, Cold Stone," was co-written by renowned singer songwriter Louisa Branscomb with Geri Byrd, and follows Brocks first single, his original song, as well as the title track to his album, “Streamliner.”
“A hidden gem from decades ago, brought to me by my talented friend, Louisa Branscomb. Her collaboration w/long-time friend, Geri Byrd, has rendered a treasure to round out this project nicely. Thank you for your offering of love and devotion to your craft that is to be shared with the world.” - Jesse D. Brock
"Kiss on a Cold Cold Stone" features, along with Jesse on mandolin and baritone vocals, Greg Blake on lead vocals, Russ Carson on banjo, Josh Swift on resophonic guitar, Barry Reed on bass, and Felicia Mikels on tenor vocals.
Take a look at the new video for the single produced by Sound Biscuit, filmed and directed by DF Production Services of Knoxville, TN.
Songwriter Louisa Branscomb is well-known for penning the hit “Steel Rails,” that is noted for being an influential song in Alison Krauss’ career, and inspiring a fresh generation of women to become bluegrass artists. Louisa’s influence in the industry comes not only from her creativity and unique approach to songwriting, but also as a skilled instrumentalist and singer.
“There couldn't be a more perfect match for this song than Jesse Brock. Jesse has a purity of music that takes the heart of bluegrass and makes it beat, as well as anybody I know. It's a privilege to have this song by Geri Byrd and me in the hands of an artist of the talent and commitment that Jesse has. Adding a great band and great production from Sound Biscuit, and it's a songwriter dream come true” - Louisa Branscomb
Winner of the 2009 & 2015 International Bluegrass Music Awards (IBMA) Mandolin Performer of the Year, Jesse Brock began his Bluegrass career with his family band at the age of nine.
Since then, he has toured and recorded music with countless bands, including his IBMA award nominated solo record, “Kickin Grass.” He has become a sought after counterpart for any project. Sound Biscuit is proud to be recording and releasing this new project with Jesse and looks forward to sharing the full albumwith everyone later this year.
