First song I had professionally recorded.

First time trying this song using my suitcase kick drum.

This song was written in memory of all those who have died under communism. Especially those described in Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn's "The Gulag Archipelago." My hope is that this song will serve as a reminder of what can happen if we make the choice to give up our individual sovereignty. Pray that day will never come, and that the good will of mankind will prevail and strike down these evil authoritarian governments. I’d also like to express my gratitude to Dr. Jordan Peterson for opening my eyes and exposing me to the evils of communism. Having grown up in the Pacific Northwest, and only attending a public school system full of socialist ideologues, I was shielded from the atrocities committed under communism in the 20th century. Now, all of that has changed, and I will be dedicating my life to making sure my children will not share the fate of so many others before them who refused to speak up. They'll never be seen here again. Well, our life is getting too hard! And we all are feeling quite disgraced. Not long, before. We all are muzzled and misplaced. We'll I'm not really sure what's going on. But it feels like we're being replaced. Searching for all the answers. On how to cut loose these chains. If I wait, long enough. Maybe they will realize their mistake. I just hope that it happens soon. Cause I'm starting to lose my faith. But my fate! Has been made. While I whisper and weep. Never forget that a hungry wolf. Had to test out the new (to me) 1965 Gibson ES-125CD. Also working on improving my technique with the new suitcase kick drum I just built. I wrote this song with several things in mind, but I mainly wanted to highlight the struggles of both alcohol abuse and depression. Those two things almost always seem to go hand in hand, don't they? I mean seriously, try to make it in this life without a Vice. You probably won't get very far. The photos are meant to capture our journey over this past year. Don't ever forget that even in the darkest of times, a hopeful person can still see the light.
