Chimpanzee sees his reflection, makes hilarious faces for the camera
William from the Twycross Zoo is making faces in front of the window after seeing his reflection in the camera . He even picks his nose!
William is still one of the chimpanzees from the second group that is separated from the main group (Jambo's group). The zoo is still working slowly on the two groups to become one group.

Gorilla youngster shows off his new favorite "toy"
Gorilla youngster Koundi got hold of some netting. Probably where the straw has been held in for their semi-outdoor enclosure. Now at the outdoor garden, he's running around with netting having some fun. He loves dragging it behind him, but unfortunately, it gets stuck on the plant.
Howletts Park And the sister park Port Lympne wildlife park are both run by the Aspinall Foundation. They are world leaders in breading gorillas, but what makes this special is that some gorillas get released back into the wild! The foundation has one million acres in the Congo and Gabon Africa where they have successfully reintroduced 50 gorillas and celebrated more than 20 births. The foundation has also returned 9 gorillas born in the two wildlife Parks Howlett and Port Lympne. In 2013 they introduced a whole family of gorillas back to Africa. Not only gorillas get reintroduced back to the wild in Africa. Rhinos are relocated to Tanzania, primates to Indonesia, European bison to Romania and Spain and clouded leopards to Cambodia. Just recently two cheetahs Saba & Nairo's moved by The Aspinall Foundation from the UK to a new life in the wilderness of their ancestral homeland of South Africa, the Ashia Cheetah Sanctuary to settle in and prepare for the wild!

Gorilla youngster chases rabbit around his enclosure
Gorilla youngster Koundi, the western lowland gorilla youngster is from the Port Lympne Wildlife Park. He was born on the 12th of May 2016. He has some fun in this video, chasing after the rabbit, but the rabbit is just too fast for him and just hides in the rocks. Koundi has a look where the rabbit went and seemed surprised it's gone. So he huffs and walks off. When the rabbit comes back out, Koundi watches closely from his ropes. You get the impression the rabbit enjoys the chase as much as Koundi, as he just runs towards the gorilla youngster and past him like he wants to tease him. It worked and Koundi started the chase again. Watch the rabbit as it slows down around the wooden barrier like he is waiting for Koundi to catch up. In the end, he does give up and the rabbit happily munches on the grass. Kouni sits on the climbing frame and claps his hands.

Bonobo mother tries to get her baby back from prankster teen
Likemba is going after another youngster who snatched her baby from her. She tries to keep up but the teenagers are just too quick. Baby Lola hangs on tight to the teenager that balances on the top of the climbing frame, with another youngster following the two. It all looks quite hectic and scary for the little baby Lola (eleven months old). Poor mom even slips on the top log while in pursuit. She manages to hold on to the log and kept chasing the youngsters. Back down the bottom she finally caught up with the teenager and as gentle and timid as Likemba is, she got her baby back.

Orangutan baby adorably plays with an empty cardboard box
This is Basuki from the Twycross Zoo. Check it out as he plays with a cardboard box better than any cat could. Normally Basuki annoys his little sister Kayan, but today this box seems more interesting. In case if you are wondering why he is bald, well he was born with it, unlike his sister who has beautiful long hair.

Gorillas totally spooked by something in the grass
Ozala the gorilla mother gets startled by something in the grass. She tries to wipe over it with her arm, which makes Grandma Biddy jump. Ozala is still staring at the grass with her food in her hands and feet. Her eldest son Lope has a quick look as well but then decides to go in. The next clip is of Lope going towards the hut and suddenly moving back, spotting something in the grass. In the third clip, Ozala spots something in the grass and Shufai her youngest quickly decides to climb on mum's back. They both look down into the grass. 4th and last clip, Lope sits at the hut, when he moves, something in the grass stops him in his tracks. The only thing I can think of would be insects in the grass. What do you think?

Indigo was born on the 23rd of December 2017 and is the second born of mum N’yaounda. Dad Golo is also at the Budapest Zoo. Liesel is the oldest gorilla at Budapest zoo and she was born on the 15th of April 1977.

Hairless Chimp Jambo
Going back in time with this video compilation of Jambo. Jambo has alopecia, but this hasn't stopped him from doing anything. In fact, he's the alpha male of the troop. He's still in his old enclosure in this video and still has both his ears. In the new videos here on Rumble you'll see that he lost one ear. It got ripped by his mother. They tried skin glue to keep it attached, but unfortunately, Jambo picked on it that much that he lost the whole ear. In the winter Jambo is mostly inside and they do sleep a lot, so I don't have a lot of new footage of him. I do however got some old clips that I haven't posted before and this is a compilation of those older clips.

He lies down in the wood wool, but Lope never keeps still and is soon after up again to beat his chest. In the end, he walks off upright.

Exercise For The Twycross Gorilla Brothers
After the scary episode, earlier this week gorilla Lope and Shufai are enjoying a run around, chasing each other, they're full of energy. When they sit down, taking a rest, it's Shufai who slings the metal ring into Lope, trying to provoke him to play again. Lope dodges the ring and decides to grab a stick instead. Shufai moves away from Lope, but keeping his eyes firmly on Lope, trying to get his brother to run after him, but Lope is staying put. A little later Lope moved and Shufai is by the metal ring beating his chest at Lope. That does it, as Lope comes running/climbing after his brother. Asante sits on the log and Ozala is sitting in the back. Then Shufai has a little wrestle with Lope before the running starts again.

Valentine's Day Love Is In The Air For These Kangaroos
Are you one of the people who thinks everyone likes hugs? Look how these kangaroos can't stop hugging! Probably all people like hugs, since hugs help people relax and feel better about themselves. On the other hand, this video shows that kangaroos also love hugs, especially when Valentine's Day is approaching, since these kangaroos know that they must show each other how much they love each other and that is why they cannot stop hugging. It seems that kangaroos also understand the importance of Valentine's Day, this happened at a zoo in Atherstone, England. These are the most adorable kangaroos in the world!
The kangaroo is an animal as wonderful as it is surprising. His ability to move by jumping instead of running is one of his best-known traits. However, these Australian marsupials present another series of features and curiosities worthy of review. The common name ‘kangaroo’ is generally used to describe this species. However, there are several subspecies that are classified according to features such as size, behavior and geographic location, to name a few. The term kangaroo designates the largest within the species, just as wallaby is used to refer to the smaller ones.
One of the curiosities that most attract attention to these animals is that they do not sweat. His way of adapting to heat is licking his legs. Then they rub their chest with them to lower their body temperature. The kangaroo has the possibility to turn its ears and listen sharply almost imperceptible noises to other animals. They can also survive without water for several weeks. For this, they extract from the plants that ingest the liquids and nutrients they need.
In some legal poppy plantations, kangaroos ingest these plants and can get high. This is evident when they move awkwardly, and they can be seen spinning or unable to maintain balance. His way of knowing is sniffing his nose and face. Then they can socialize by fighting, which usually happens among young kangaroos. However, some adult specimens may retain this habit.
Mating is another matter that is curious since males sniff the females' urine to recognize if they are ready for reproduction. The procession period can last up to three days. Frequently, the male sniffs and touches the female's tail with its legs, and it responds with sinuous movements. Some kangaroo species mate only when the climatic conditions are favorable for the young.
Females can stop the embryonic development of their young if the environmental conditions are not favorable. This happens frequently in seasons of severe droughts, so when conditions improve, pregnancy continues smoothly. Thus they provide greater chances of survival for their children. Fortunately, there are not too many natural predators for this species. Foxes, some snakes, eagles, and dingoes usually attack them, especially young or young individuals.
However, poaching by men to sell meat, and the destruction of their habitat, keeps the human race as the most dangerous species, not only for kangaroos but for the world in general.
Check out these two lovebirds at a zoo in Atherstone, England. They can't stop hugging each other!

Cheeky sea lion steals caretaker's bucket to play with it
The zoo is building a structure in the sea lion enclosure and they were trying to keep the sea lions away from the workers with some fish treat from the yellow bucket. The keeper sat on the edge of the water to feed them one fish after another as slowly as possible. They're quite used to hand feeding as they were once part of a sea lion show before they joined Dudley Zoo. One of the sea lion didn't agree with the slow feed and got to the bucket and pushed it into the water. The keeper couldn't really do anything at the time and decided to try to target practice and just throw the fish in the bucket. She was pretty good at hitting the target and the sealion had a whale of a time playing with the bucket and getting the fish out.

Disrespectful gorilla youngster repeatedly slaps his own grandmother
The lovable rascal Lope is not so lovable today. As grandma Biddy sits in her favorite spot with her wood wool, Lope approaches her and slaps her on her chin. Lope does take it too far sometimes. You just want grandma to get up, put him on her knees and give him a right slap on his backside. Ozala his mom wouldn't be so forgiving.
After Lope plays with the bottle, he has another run-up to poor Biddy and does the same thing again, but this time it does look more than just a slap. Biddy shows him her teeth and gives him a dirty look, but leaves it at that. Lope puts some wood wool on his head, does his usual knock on the hut and runs up to Ozala and Shufai.

Gorilla at the zoo gets to celebrate his 7th birthday party
The staff prepares the room for Lope's 7th birthday. All the ribbons and signs are up with honey placed on top of the gifts. Inside the boxes there are food pellets, salads and vegetables. On the many logs, the staff spread some food that looked like an oat and a peanut butter mixture. Lope is out first of course and goes straight for that oat mixture on the log. Then he takes one of the kong toys and after running around with it, he takes it to a quiet spot up to the top bunk and enjoys the food inside.
