Shufai has got a nice big tree branch that he starts to nibble on. It's not too long until Ozala wants a piece off it as well and and tries to grab some. Shufai is quick of the block and runs away with it. Ozala found another stick and is happy for a while. Shufai on the other site can't get a minute to enjoy his tree branch as Lope is now chasing after him as soon as he sat down. Shufai manages to get away at first, but when they're both back on the ground , Lope gets hold of his tree branch. Not for long, as suddenly Ozala comes chasing after Lope. He drops the branch and Ozala takes it away, but Lope follows. His mum is having none of it and and quickly turns towards him, chases him until Lope starts screaming. Oumbi on the other site had a quick look to see if he needs to intervene , but decided against it. Just too much afford. Just let Ozala deal with it. #SloggerVlogger #Gorillas #TwycrossGorillas

This is the beautiful chimpanzee Rosie from the Twycross Zoo. She is a real sweetheart and loves mirrors, sparkly diamante rings (she always perks up when someone shows her a ring that sparkles) and shoes. Show her your shoes and she is really fascinated. In this video she enjoys her reflection, combing herself with a stick. She then really does look like she pretends to smoke!

Asante is sitting on the bunk bed with her toes spread apart. Later she comes over to me and shows her tongue and teeth to me. She only moves when Oumbi comes closer in the background. When she's sitting at the wall, she seemed to have something stuck between her teeth. You just want to give her a toothpick.

Wishing everybody a great Christmas week! Thank you for watching! As an early Christmas present from me, I’ve done two long videos for Monday and Friday, the usual Twycross zoo gorilla days. This one is more than eight minutes long and mostly from clips from the day. Hopefully you’ll enjoy it to the end. Shufai has a little chest beat in front of the window. I looked away for one minute and Ozala suddenly takes Shufai and she runs like a lightning strike :-) I think that they got spooked by a phone going off in the staff-room, not audible as I changed the sound of the video. Lope sitting quietly in the corner having some breakfast before little Shufai starts chasing him. Ozala is getting hungry as well and sweeps up all the branches and puts them by her side. Shufai has some leaves as well. He starts moving as Oumbi is approaching. Lope is munching on some more leaves. When the brothers venture outside in the cold, they notice the morning frost on the wooden planks and we know how much they love scraping it together and eating it. Shufai goes inside when Lope emerges. I really hope this year we get some snow and not just a dusting. I think the gorillas and also the other apes would love it. Lope is holding on tight as he tries not to slip on the ice. When he gets down to the grass, he finds a toy and a bottle with frost on it and takes it inside, walking off the Lope way. Biddy is coming out into the winter sunshine and Lope pretends to be his dad, with his arched back. These are the Bonobos from the Twycross Zoo, the only Bonobos in England. This is little cutie is baby Lola and she's all smiles. She was born on the Sat 3rd August 2019 and she was named after the Lola ya Bonobo (‘Paradise for bonobos’ in Lingala) the world’s only sanctuary for orphaned bonobos. Her mum is the 9-year old Likemba. She came to Twycross in early 2019. So quite a new member of the family.

It looked to like Lope had a bit of teeth trouble, but he seems to manage fine to rip off the bark of the branch.

This is going to be a long series, every Wednesday about the polar Bears Mother Tonja and her cub Hertha. Hopefully you'll enjoy seeing these two play as much as I did. I was just glued to those two. Hertha is named after the home football team. Here she's watching mum having a great time in the water, but she doesn't quite know how to join her. She tries from every angle. Meanwhile mum has such a good time with that ball, balancing it with her feet, throwing it in the air or just using it as a buoy. They made out of hard plastic which has air in them.

Afia the Western Lowland Gorilla is on top of the climbing frame, while her half sister Ayana is playing with a log and running after dad. Suddenly Afia comes rolling in. She continues to roll and play in front of Jock the Silverback. Ayana and Afia have a little tussle when dad just quickly moves his hand towards them. Ayana then tries to climb on her big sisters back when suddenly another female Gorilla came running in and wanting to get involved. Dad Jock was having none of it and pushed her away. The staff did tell me Jock was a very good dad,always looking out for the two girls.

Shufai The Gorilla Shufai ( Thumbnail is Lope watching) has a great time spinning around around. As kids we use to do this, but then try to walk afterwards and be all over the place. Shufai just continues to have more goes. Lope dangling above and watching his brother. When Shufai goes up to have another go, Lope seen enough, jumps down and chases him into the back.

These pelicans are not happy about the invasion of the wild nutria (water rodents) taking over. Every time the large semi-aquatic rodent comes close, the pelicans snap at them. The pelicans work as a pair with one being more aggressive than the other. The nutria, also called the coypu, is quite brave and not easily scared. There are some close calls, with the pelican snapping at the nutria's face. The rodent swims away, but the pelican pair follow and keep snapping at it. It's almost like the coypu actually teases the pelicans with his presence!

These are the endangered white tiger cubs from the Tierpark Nadermann in Germany. Coming out of there den all they want is their mother. They call out to her. Just look at that fluffy gorgeous face with their stunning blue eyes. Tiger mom Bianca is not far away. She picks one of the cubs up by the scruff of its neck. The white tiger baby is not moving and just hanging out of mom's mouth, but once she puts the baby on the grass and licks it, the cub then starts to play. The other siblings, gender yet unknown, start to join and play with mom as well. Five cubs were born on the 3rd of August 2019. More to come from these little cuties!

Check out this awesome time lapse of the Berlin Brückenfahrt, a boat trip through Berlin passing 64 bridges - more than in Venice! The ride is about 23km and takes 3 hours, including many of Berlin's main attractions like the Mitte, Moabit, Tiergarten, Schöneberg, Kreuzberg, and Neukölln und Friedrichshain.

Gorilla mother Mayani from the Antwerp Zoo loves the Lettuces that got scattered by the staff all over her enclosure. She can't get enough of them and collects one after another as much as she can carry. She takes it all high off the ground and puts it on the platform. After completing this task she decides to move to a higher platform!

Grizzlies have fun chasing each other while the wolves closely follow throw the large habitat at the amazing Pairi Daiza in the Belgium Zoo. The brown bears have so much fun chasing each other that the wolves seem to want to be part of that chase and start running after the bears. They seemed so intrigued of what the young bears are up to, but also keeping a safe distance. The bears seam to ignore the wolves for the most part. One of the bears is having a rest on that lovely beach with his nose full of sand. At the bottom the river with its rock running past. Mixed habitats are a great idea as both types of animals are always kept on their toes and stops them from getting bored. It's probably the best enrichment they could get. They fur coat looks amazingly healthy. Some interesting facts about grizzly bears: Grizzly bears also known as brown bears hibernate for about 5 to 7 months every year. Bears can be found in Asia, Europe, and North America. Males can weigh up to 670kg! You might ask what do grizzly bears eat? Well they live of insects, fish, nuts and what is surprising they even eat rodents and elk! Pairi Daiza is the most amazing animal park you can visit. There are so many things to see and do. The animals are well looked after, got some amazing spaces, lots of space to roam, hide and play. All the fencing is kept to a minimum. The rest of the park has some great landscaping and everything is clean and tidy.

This is a female Eastern lowland gorilla named Amahoro from the Antwerp Zoo. She was born in 1990 and came to Antwerp Zoo in 1994. Amahoro seems to love her turnips. She picks the vegetable up with each of her feet walks with them, puts one in her mouth and as many as she can carry with her hands. You can see Matadi eating in the back. She glances a few time at him, like she's checking if he notices that she is taking all the turnips. She's taking them to a platform and enjoys her meal.

Mambele the gorilla seems hypnotized when these bubbles first fly past her. She then tries to catch it with her hands, but can't figure out why they disappear. She also uses her tongue to try to catch them!

Open wide! Look at those teeth! This hippopotamus is having a great time playing with that log. Grabbing it, pushing it around and sinking it. Such a powerful animal and really enjoying his pool. The Hippo is from the Antwerp zoo in Belgium. The weather is hot and the hippopotamus is having fun.

N’Dowe (pronounced Endovay), the Western lowland silverback gorilla from the Paignton Zoo in England, loves to move around his freshly cut habitat with his blanket and refuses to let go of it!

The rare bonobos getting a summers treat on this hot day. They enjoy the ice with juice that much that they can't stop licking it. When one seems to get more than the other, a fight breaks out with the other ape getting pushed and even kicked. The normal docile bonobos that are our closest relatives start to display. There are more than one ice treat in the enclosure, but what would be the fun in just going to the other one? Many people think they are Chimpanzees, but although they are very similar and both are closely related to humans, the bonobo is a lot slender in appearance. With the Chimpanzees the males are the dominant, but the bonobo the females. Unfortunately like a lot of other animals they are threatened by habitat loss and human population growth. Twycross zoo is helping the bonobos getting back to the wild by supporting the Conservation Welfare fund with the daily running of the sanctuary Lola ya Bonobo.

Mother Nature can surprise us more every day, especially when it comes to the oceans, since nobody knows what is hidden in the depths of some oceans, so the oceans remain a mystery to most people, there are even people that fear the ocean. There are new creatures that are often found at the bottom of the sea and this generates insecurity and panic in some people, although for others it is a historical fact that you should know how to appreciate, since it is something that is not seen every day. It is necessary that we respect the maritime rules, since they were created mainly for our well-being, often people tend to ignore these rules, but in some cases they tend to be fundamental for survival. In this case, we can see how the people in the container ship are a little scared, but they know how to stay calm, and that is very important. Most people think that the oceans are the biggest mystery on the planet, and that is something that should not be questioned. Each monkey has a very different personality and brings a different specialty to the sessions. People gravitate towards a certain horse or, more often, a monkey will gravitate towards them and then the real magic begins. Monkeys are exceptionally affectionate, playful and even patient. People describe their time at the Mane Intent differently but all agree that the ten gentle souls that make up this herd are truly unique. For many, the visit is a very moving and emotional experience that can drastically change their outlook. These monkeys are capable of connecting with people in a way that has to be seen to be believed. The question on your mind is, why is Jambo hairless? People also call him the 'naked chimp'. Some people think they shaved him or that he is ill. The truth is, the ape has Alopecia, a medical term for hair loss and he had it since adolescence. He is now 35 years old and with his hair gone you can simply see how powerfully muscular he is. Being a hairless chimpanzee hasn't stopped him from anything, rather the opposite as he's the alpha male and rules his <a href="https://rumble.com/v3qnwi-elegant-stingrays-in-their-underwater-habitat.html" target="_blank">habitat</a>! Jambo the hairless <a href="https://rumble.com/v69495-when-monkey-plays-piano-at-ipad.html" target="_blank">chimp</a> from the Twycross Zoo in England is seen here balancing on the rope. He doesn't look like the most comfortable ape up there and is wobbling quite a bit. It was definitely easier getting up then down. Take an Amsterdam river cruise boat trip through the city with this time-lapse footage filmed from the boat. The boat was leaving from the central station at the boat mooring. Experience Amsterdam through this footage. Seeing the sights, architecture, a stunning backdrop to the city’s historical centre. Amsterdam has many more canals and three times as many bridges as Venice. Amsterdam is the capital of the Netherlands has some world-class museums, theaters and a bustling nightlife.

Damsi is a western lowland gorilla seen here with his mom, Dafina, from the Artis Zoo in the Netherlands. The little baby wants to go and explore his surroundings and wants to say hello to the visitors behind the glass, but his mom is having none of it and keeps pulling her sweet baby back towards her. Damsi doesn't give up and keeps trying his luck!

It's like the meerkats are watching a WWE match, they look that excited and intrigued. This is a mixed enclosure for the Gorillas, at the Artis Zoo in the Netherlands. The gorillas and Meerkats live together, they've also got some Diana Monkeys, but I only spotted them in the corner of my eye high above. The gorillas decided they have a chase and a squabble and the meerkats are watching it all with interest. Even though they nearly get run over by the western lowland gorillas, they're coming back to watch some more and edging forward slowly. They don't seem to want to miss anything. When the gorillas decide they have a chase, the meerkats start to jump up and down like crazy like they want to get a better view of what is happening next and where the western lowland gorillas are. The nimble meerkats quickly jump out of the way when the primates come back round and continue to watch them. I know some worry about the meerkats being together with the gorillas that they might get hurt. The meerkats seem to know what they letting themselves in for. Meaning they aren't hiding away in their own dens or spaces, which they have. They actively spent time close to the gorillas. They're so nimble that they can can quickly move out of the way.

The keepers of the Twycross Zoo worked hard to get a huge ball into the gorilla's outdoor enclosure. They lifted it over the glass wall, lowered the ball and then dragged it up the slope. Then they put honey on the ball and did all the other usual daily activities to hide food around the enclosure. The silverback gorilla Oumbi is watching from the window as a keeper pushes some food bits into the hole of the ball. When he comes outside instead of heading for the ball, he leads for some salad instead. When Lope comes out, he already has some mixture, and he squeezes to the wall as much as he can, so not to go near the ball. He licks the honey of the windowsill, then has a quick look at the ball, but avoids it. Later when he comes back, he looks at the ball again, like it's alien and then just jabs it. The western lowland gorilla gets a bit closer to look into the hole, but still just pokes it. When he does it a third time, it makes him jump out of the way, and he just looks at it like what is this thing?! Even though he should have got used to it by now as they had it in the inside a while back, but he did avoid it then as well. For the rest of the day, he just avoided it altogether and was just happy with the salad. Who else thinks that this video is absolutely adorable? Lope is so curious & brave. No one else wanted anything to do with the ball but Lope. Even Oumbi didn't care. This is probably our favorite gorilla family. They are so cute, so smart, and they always put a smile on our faces. We loved the way Lope curiously looks at the ball and waits to see if it is going to come back at him, and we love seeing more videos of him playing with the ball, and eating lettuce. The more we learn about <a href="https://rumble.com/v4gkct-when-gorillas-use-teamwork-doubled-down-on-us.html" target="_blank">gorillas</a>, the more impressed we are. This is extraordinarily interesting to see Lope exercise critical thinking and reasoning between his curiosity to examine this new "object" within his home and his personal need to remain safe. These great beings never fail to amaze! We are sending them 1000 hugs and kisses as they are precious family and we love them!

This penguin is working hard to provide much needed nesting material for its partner. First he tries to break some sticks of a bush. He isn't giving up and tries again and again. He pulls vigorously, but doesn't seem to have a lot of success. You would wish you could snap some sticks off for him! He is more successful when he is pulling on the grass. All for his beloved mate.
